My Rating - 5 Stars!
Ocean's Apart is a beautiful contemporary romance by JK Hogan.
Leo and Sellars weren't looking for love. But, when Leo's car broke down and Sellars helped him out, they unknowingly started on a journey towards just that.
Leo is moving to the beach, looking for something different in his life. Sellars works his family's farm and has nothing else in his life. He's closeted, knowing his dad would never approve of him being gay. He's also stuck on the farm, as he was never given a choice.
What follows is an extraordinary story of two young men who help each other to find happiness and a true home. Sometimes people just need a choice.
Their story involves some homophobia, a controlling father and some wonderfully supportive siblings. As for their fate, they will get their happily ever after, but the ending is absolutely perfect!
Oceans Apart is definitely worth a read, so don't miss out on this terrific coming of age story. JK Hogan's writing style is exquisite, compelling and charming. I love the atmospheric descriptions of the land and the storms.
