Laurel Holidays Series

The Christmas Pundit - All Buy Links

A trip that he thought would bring him only pain is about to present him with the greatest gift of all.

For three years now, Cabriolet Vermat has put off, wiggled out of, and outright lied to get out of making this dreaded trip east. The owner of Cabriolet Chauffeur Services in Los Angeles has avoided the yearly invitation to the small town of White Bridge, New York, to speak at their alumni winter gathering but this year they’ve outfoxed him. They’re throwing a dinner to honor his late partner’s dedication to his alma mater and have asked Cab to speak. This time he has to go no matter how much pain it will stir up. Arriving in the picturesque small town beside one of the Finger Lakes, Cab is treated to a special performance of holiday songs and there he sees Julian Gabriel Baez for the first time.

The young singer captivates him immediately, and he finds hims
elf seeking out the much younger man after the performance. The pull he feels toward Jules is unlike anything he’s felt since he met his partner years ago. Confusion and desire war within him, but the outgoing young tenor wins him over with his engaging smile and kind heart. A two-day trip soon turns into an extended holiday vacation. Cab worries that the magic of Christmas will quickly fizzle out and he’ll be alone once more. Or will this festive season bestow a blessing of the heart upon a man who thought he would never love again?

The Christmas Tenor is a standalone small-town gay Christmas romance with a beautiful May-December relationship, a lonely widower, a rising opera star, loving families, and plenty of holiday joy.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

The Christmas Tenor is a sweet holiday romance by VL Locey. The third book in the Laurel Holidays series, it's a nice standalone read.

This is a great read that features an age gap, an opera singer, and an older widow. Cab is a widower who's intrigued by the younger singer, but has a long way to go before fully opening his heart again.

As usual for this author, the writing is great, with well developed characters, a nice storyline, and plenty of romance. This is all told from the older man's pov, so we don't get a glimpse into Jules' feelings, but I can easily overlook that, as Cab has a lot of personal baggage to work through.

The Christmas Tenor is a perfect choice when you're in the mood for a tender, heart-warming holiday romance. VL Locey delights again with this age gap romance.

All You Touch (Love Starts Here #2) by E.M. Lindsey

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

When he prayed for an angel, this blond Norse god wasn’t what he was expecting…

West Balkany lived his life by one rule: make your own luck. And that means fighting his slum lord when his building starts falling apart, forcing himself to finish school no matter how much he wants to quit, and most importantly, never do something as stupid as falling in love.

Unfortunately, that last part isn’t so easy when his gorgeous one-night-stand who dragged him into a bar supply closet and made him see god, keeps turning up everywhere he goes.

But he doesn’t have time for Jake—no matter how much he wants to. His father’s health is failing, his deli is barely getting by, and now he’s facing a massive legal suit against Larsen Property Management for trying to kick everyone out into the streets. He also knows that Jake is hiding something, and he’s pretty sure whatever it is, it’s enough to turn his life upside down.

But Jake also makes him want to try, and that’s what scares him the most.

Jakob Larsen spent his life running from the man his father always wanted him to be, but that all comes to a stop when the man announced he was leaving LPM. He finally has a chance to prove to both his brother and to St. James that he can turn Larsen Property Management around and do something good for the people his father has been tormenting all these years.

The problem is, he’s just not quite sure how, when no one trusts him to do the right thing.

And it doesn’t help that Jakob has found himself distracted, falling for a gorgeous, stoic deli owner who has no idea who he really is. All Jakob has ever wanted was to be truly loved, but now that he’s found the one person he could see himself growing old with, he has to face the truth: everything they have is based on a lie.

Will he ever be a man worthy of forgiveness, or will he have to face the fact that everything he touches turns to dust?

All You Touch is the second book in the low-angst, humorous, steamy series, Love Starts Here. It contains no cheating, and a happily ever after.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

All You Touch is a the second book in the Love Starts Here series. This EM Lindsey book is a wonderful love story.

Jakob and West are fabulous together. They immediately connect and have a hook up. And damn, it's hot!

The opposites attract aspect is wonderfully done, as these two are night and day. And the age gap of more than ten years is a lot of fun.

I enjoy every interaction between these two. They're both looking for the same results, but they have some issues to face to get there. Because damn, sometimes a lack of communication, or lie of omission, is tough to get through.

Their story involves family issues, a rich versus not so rich vibe, and a strong connection.

Written in alternating pov, we get both men's thoughts and emotions. This is perfect to help the reader understand both men. Their story includes a lot of family members and their issues, keeping things interesting for sure.

All You Touch is another great book by EM Lindsey. Unlike many of EM's books, this one is much lower on the angst, but just as great in the romance department. This is a heart-warming story that fell into my lap at the right time. I love it.

RELEASE BLITZ, GIVEAWAY, & REVIEW - MF - Horizon (Compass #3) by Aria Wyatt

HORIZON

Compass Series #3

by Aria Wyatt

Release Blitz

Release Date: August 11, 2021

Genre: Contemporary romance
Trope: Best friend’s little sister

______________________________________

When hemispheres collide…

It started out innocent.

He was my older brother’s best friend. The teen who built sandcastles and splashed in the waves with me when I was a little girl. We’d collect seashells and build moats around our castles to protect the imaginary princess within. He was my Jake. I was his princess.

His summer visits to Australia became less frequent after scoring his first record deal, but I never forgot him. While the multiplatinum singer-songwriter traveled the world, melting hearts and panties with his lyrics, I filled a notebook with his name.

Everything changed when Jake flew in for my brother’s thirtieth birthday party. At eighteen, I’d come a long way from the girl he remembered. One lingering touch was all it took to ignite us. I kissed him, but he walked away. He was still on tour, I was about to start college, and let’s not forget my hotheaded brother.

But after graduation, when a New York internship opportunity lands me in the Brooklyn brownstone across from his, the ocean between us is replaced with a street.

Jake thinks he can’t have me—we’re different as earth and sky—but I’ll prove him wrong. Those five years of distance only deepened my ache. His demons don’t scare me. He’s everything I’ve ever wanted, and I know I can make him happy if he’ll let me.

I'm determined to try. After all, his old sweatshirt is not the only thing I’ve held on to for him…

When earth meets sky on the horizon, Jake Bennett, the King of Ballads, will be mine.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Horizon is the third book in the Compass series by Aria Wyatt. The first two books focused on Wyatt and Lena. In this book, we get to read about Jake and Isla.

I love the first two books so I was super excited to read this one.

And damn, I love this book.

First of all, I love the couple. Jake and Isla's reunion and developing relationship is riveting and charming. They certainly bond well and make for a strong couple. But damn, they have some tough things to deal with.

I am impressed with some of the issues that the author addresses. Anxiety, OCD, lupus, organ transplant, and extreme period pain are all illustrated in an impressive manner. Everything is written with knowledge, care, and compassion. And it makes for some amazingly emotional moments.

Unseen illnesses are at the heart of the issue for these two characters. Both suffer on a daily basis from issues that effect them immensely. I enjoy that they are understanding of each other's issues and can relate.

Horizon is a great read. Everything about this Aria Wyatt tale works for me. It touched me to the core and I felt every emotion throughout. I can't recommend it enough.

RELEASE BLITZ, EXCERPT & REVIEW - Exquisitely Yours (Sin City Tale #3) by M. Jay Granberry

Title: Exquisitely Yours
Series: Sin City Tale #3
Author: M. Jay Granberry
Genre: Secret Romance
Release Date: July 27, 2021

I don’t take anything too seriously.

Not the career that’s brought me fame and fortune, or the never ending string of women that fill my bed, and definitely not myself.

But life has a way of turning on a dime.

The party is over.

All the jokes have been told.

One beautiful face blurs with the next beautiful body and all I feel is…empty.

Until her.

The sexy complication too intelligent to ignore and too complicated to keep.

Jessica Johnson isn’t supposed to be in my world but now that she is I plan to make sure she enjoys the ride.

So, what happens in Vegas…?

Boundaries are crossed.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Exquisitely Yours is a fabulous addition to the Sin City Tales series. This M Jay Granberry series is full of rock, sex, and love.

God, I love this story. Everything about Jessica and Daniel oozes sex. They are awesome together; sensual and full of emotion.

Daniel's one of the bandmates who finds himself intensely attracted to the sister of Sin's fiancee. Yikes.

The whole time they ooze steam, with the scenes perfectly hot and seductive, the reader can feel the tension this can invite. Ugh! Love it!

I adore Daniel and the way Jessica makes him want more than his groupie sex lifestyle. He craves her and starts to crave more. All the while, he's messing with fire, and it's awesome.

The forbidden romance and opposites attract elements are everything in this story. They add plenty of fun and tension to the storyline, making the emotions intensify. Love it all!

This is a story of family expectations and a rich mother wanting certain things for her children. Obviously this adds to the story, but damn, I wanted to smack her.

There's a lot going on in this story and I love it all!

Exquisitely Yours is a wonderful read. This M Jay Granberry story is the perfect book when you're in the mood for a rocker being knocked to his knees.

“Don’t think, Jessie. Fall.”
For a second the microscopic space between our lips is a chasm too wide to cross.
Insecurity and self-doubt double down.
The insidious message—I’m not hot enough, sexy enough, experienced enough— get louder with each repetition. The idea that I can’t be anything more than a sad little notch on his massive bedpost. An embarrassed, sad little notch especially when compared to all the others.
My experience consists of scintillating missionary and barely achieved orgasms. Can’t really imagine blowing his mind.
“Stop thinking. Just...” His eyes close and he takes a deep inhale through his nose before saying in a strained voice. “Fall.”
I hesitate. My nerves are completely at war with my common sense.
Daniel opens his eyes and probes mine for long seconds before he speaks. “I swear I’ll catch you.”

M. Jay Granberry is first and foremost an insatiable reader.
Among her favorite things are classic fairy tales, smutty books where characters have heart, old lady sweaters (preferably chunky knit), gift baskets (giving not receiving), and charcuterie trays (green olives, smoked cheese, and Genoa salami).
She is a true Las Vegas native, the one in Nevada not New Mexico, and to answer the most frequently asked questions about growing up in Sin City…
  • No, she doesn’t live in a hotel.
  • No, she has never been a stripper although she does know some.
  • Prostitution is absolutely illegal in Clark County (Las Vegas)!
  • And what happens in Vegas does indeed stay in Vegas.
M. Jay earned a degree in words and stories, and after fifteen plus years of doing everything other than writing, she penned her first novel.
Giving a voice to characters, that are strong yet fragile, that are sometimes uncomfortably real, that express love in dirtiest ways with the sweetest sentiments is honestly a dream come true.

How to Catch a Biker (Chester Falls #5) by Ana Ashley

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

What do you do when you meet the tall, gruff silver fox of your dreams?
You flirt, pretend it didn’t happen, and secretly admire his assets.
For research purposes, of course.

I came to Chester Falls to find my voice and save my publishing career.
Instead, I find him.
Slade’s story is kept under a lock so strong I don’t know if there is a man out there that can break it.
But I’ll be damned if I won’t give it a try.

A biker with a past
A down-in-the-dumps author
A kitten with a tiger attitude
Two guys that discover there isn't that much mileage between reality and fiction.

How to Catch a Biker is the fifth book in the Chester Falls series and features a May/December story between two guys who have more in common than they think, a group of friends who think everyone needs to be in love, and a small town like no other.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

How to Catch a Biker is the fifth book in the Chester Falls series. This Ana Ashley read is easily read as a standalone.

Slade and Aiden are two broken men who know the pain life can bring. Slade's painful past has him running, while Aiden is running from his abusive ex.

The sparks between the two are instant, and the time spent together fabulously brings them close.

I continue to enjoy the author's writing style and the way she crafts a story. The whole world of Chester Falls is simply wonderful.

I enjoy the age different between the two and the way life experiences go hand in hand with it. I always enjoy when a May to December romance is between men in different parts of their lives.

Their romance is a lot of fun. Yes, the abusive ex makes his presence known, but it isn't horrible.

How to Catch a Biker is a great addition to this small town romance series. Ana Ashley delights throughout this emotional tale. I'm excited to see what comes next.
