My Rating - 4 Stars!

Leta Blake's Stay Lucky is a good multi-layered story.

A second chance romance between Leo and Grant, this one has plenty to keep a reader invested. Leo's back in town but he's sick and in need of a kidney transplant. Needless to say, this complicates any chance at rekindling his old romance with Grant. The attraction is still strong and I enjoy the way their lives naturally become entwined again.

More than just a romance, this romantic tale includes a look into drug addiction (of family members), organ transplant issues, and more. It includes an adorable daughter, an absentee ex, and a second chance between Leo and Grant.

It's a
feel-good romance, with some humor sprinkled in at times. Seriously, the moments with the teacher are hysterical, and completely on point.

The writer alternates between the present and the past in this story of
health issues, family issues, and relationship issues. The writing is good, but I hate the repetitive "he said" at times. The plot is complex with well developed characters who fully come alive.

Stay Lucky is a sweet and tender second chance romance. This Leta Blake opposites attract story includes drama and romance mixed in with some fantastic humor. I definitely enjoyed it.

Mr. Naughty List (Home for the Holidays #2) by Leta Blake

Blurb

A cute teacher gets a spanking this Christmas. How hot can it get being on his former student’s Naughty List?

Is Aaron allowed to want a hot holiday fling with his young former student? Even more forbidden, is he allowed to want this student to spank him?

It’s another Christmas, and Aaron is still in the closet as a gay man and a natural submissive. With one youthful indiscretion blacking his ethics record, he can’t afford to indulge his desires no matter how pent up and needy that leaves him.

Until his former student comes home for the holidays.

Dominant and charming, RJ knows what Aaron needs—intense, steamy encounters and a firm hand. As Christmas nears, RJ helps Aaron unlock his true self. But family and fallout await, and all good things must end.

Or can their hot holiday affair turn them into lasting lovers?

Mr. Naughty List is a steamy Christmas MM romance set in the Home for the Holidays series that began with Mr. Frosty Pants, but can be read as a standalone. Featuring light D/s, spanking, an older sub with a younger Dom, former student/teacher dynamics, and, of course, warm, sweet holiday feels complete with a strong happy ending.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

In Mr Naughty List, by Leta Blake, the reader is gifted with a hot Christmas romance.

Joel, a former teacher, hooks up with his former student, RJ. There's nothing wrong with them being together now, only for the feelings they had for one another back when they were teacher/student. But even then, they never discussed it and never acted upon those feelings.

For some reason, I just wasn't feeling them being together in the beginning. They're certainly hot together but I didn't like the "Mr Danvers" thing. It just felt gross to me instead of hot.

Later, when we learn more about each man, the story picks up for me. I suddenly found myself interested and liking the guys. Ends up that there's a whole lot of depth to this story. I just wish I could have seen it sooner.

They have to deal with family issues that are heart-breaking and left me furious. They have to deal with their own issues, as one doesn't believe in love and the other feels unworthy of being loved. These things had me falling in love with this story.

Overall, I have to give Mr Naughty List 4 stars. If the beginning didn't bother me, this definitely would have been a 5 star read for me.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

A Cowboy in a dating show? Yes please! Leta Blake and Indra Vaughn excel with Cowboy Seeks Husband, as we follow along in the making of a dating show.

When Walker and Roan meet on the show, the attraction is strong, but the complications are high. Neither man wants to be on the show, but both have their reasons for doing so. One needs the money to help his farm, the other to help with his mother's medical expenses. Despite a growing connection, they come from very different worlds, and can never fit in the long run.

The writing is fantastic, placing me in the scenes, observing everything and feeling every emotion. Both the show, and the behind the scenes coverage is wonderfully done, and extremely interesting. The farm scenes and horses scenes are all enchanting. And the show's forced moments and arranged things perfectly demonstrate the non-reality of such reality shows.

I find the premise to be a lot of fun. Their story is the perfect mix of problems, complications, emotions, manipulations, conflict, and sex. And by sex, I mean hot sex!

Cowboy Seeks Husband is a story of finding love at an inconvenient time, yet also at the perfect time. You'll have to read it to see what I mean. These authors come together to give us a beautiful and tender story of finding a way to live and a way to look forward to each day. I found it to be a whole lot of fun, as it's riveting, compelling, and memorable. I definitely recommend it.

“We’re going what?”

“Noodling.” Walker looked far too calm. And smug. Roan figured this probably heralded danger in brooding southern cowboys.

“And I need these.” Roan held up the waterproof bib overalls.

Walker smirked. He had his arms folded over his chest and was leaning against the doorjamb of the kitchen. Roan had been cornered there by Walker and John while making sour apple tea. “Technically you don’t, but I’m sure you’ll want to wear them.”

Roan narrowed his eyes. “But that means we’re going into the water. I know what lives in your water down here. Alligators. And venomous snakes. I googled.”

“Now, why would you do that?” Walker dramatically slapped his forehead, then leaned in closer as if to share a secret. Roan leaned in too, drawn to Walker’s firm, muscled body and cheerful brown eyes, despite his probable imminent death on this so-called date. “Here’s the thing: gators aren’t that aggressive really. You probably won’t even see one. They want to stay as far away from you as you do from them.”

“Really?”

“No. But it makes it easier to get in the water if you tell yourself that.”

Roan stared at him.

“But, seriously, I’m not scared of the gators, and if there was a real, true danger, you know they wouldn’t let us anywhere near the water.”

Roan swallowed hard. The morning light from the kitchen window highlighted the little wrinkles at the edges of Walker’s eyes. Probably from squinting into fields all day. The man even smelled like fresh-cut grass and fresh air.

“As for the snakes, yeah…well.” Walker shrugged. “You just have to make sure you don’t wander into a nest of moccasins. I’m sure the set nurse has antivenom on hand.”

“Water moccasins. The shoe snakes.”

“They don’t look anything like shoes.”

Roan put the waterproof overalls on the counter. “Oh my God, I’m going to die.”

Walker straightened, and the attractive, teasing grin fell from his face. “Seriously, though, if you don’t want to do it, just say so. I won’t hold it against you.”

“If you say bless your heart, I’ll know exactly what you mean,” Roan grumbled. Walker laughed, and God. He was so damn handsome. Feeling his face heat, Roan looked down at the dry bib overalls. They were pretty thick. Maybe the fabric would stop the snake bites. “Fine, I’ll come.”

“I’m mighty glad.”

“You should be.”

Between the threat of biting critter, the thrill of Walker’s sweet drawl, and the headiness of his eager attention, Roan’s head was a swirl. Leaving his tea behind untasted, he stomped away for some privacy to get changed, ignoring John who said, “That’s got to be the most reluctant acceptance of a date I’ve ever seen. Andy’s going to love it.”

Can true love warm his frozen heart?

When Casey Stevens went away to college four years ago, he ghosted on his straight
best friend, Joel Vreeland. He hoped time and distance would lessen the unrequited affection he felt, but all it did was make him miss
Joel more. Home for the holidays, Casey hopes they might find a way to be friends again. But Joel’s frosty reception reminds Casey of
just how hard he had to fight to be Joel’s friend in the first place. It’s going to take a Christmas miracle to get past that cool façade
again.

Joel isn’t as straight as Casey believes, and his years of pining for Casey have left him
hurting and alone, caring for his abusive father and struggling to get by. Unable to trust anyone except his rescue dog—and with no
reason to believe Casey is interested in him for more than a holiday fling—Joel’s icy heart might shatter before it can thaw.

Can Casey and Joel’s love overcome mistrust, parental rejection, class differences, and
four long years apart? Mr. Frosty Pants is a stand-alone, Christmas gay romance by Leta Blake featuring a virgin hero, childhood
friends-to-lovers, second chance romance, and steamy mm first times.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Mr Frosty Pants is a rare full length Christmas novel by Leta Blake.

When Casey returns home for the holidays, he's lonely and wondering about his former best friend, Joel. He's still missing Joel, who he secretly loved.
Despite Joel's not so friendly reception of Casey, Joel is secretly also crushing on his former friend.

This is a sweet second chance romance between two friends who couldn't admit their feelings when they were in high school. Now four years later, they reunite and feelings are slowly revealed.

One of the poignant parts of this tale is that the things we do and say are a result of the way we grew up. Both men have grown up with their fathers leading their way. Neither man has ever been able to escape their father's control.

They've been kept apart due to their different social standings and a whole lot of homophobia. The writer does an impressive job with the character development, and the pace of the story.

Leta Blake is well known in the gay romance genre, and Mr Frosty Pants is another wonderful romance to add to her accomplishments.
