Chasing Cain is a wonderful book by Megs Pritchard. The first book in the Hiscock series, it's a compelling forbidden romance. 

It took a little while, but I found myself fully consumed by this book. Discovering that Archer and Cain are stepbrothers brings everything to life, and I found myself all in. I lived and breathed this book, unable to put it down. 

Their relationship is beautiful, full of tenderness and emotion. I absolutely love them together. But the conflict is ever present and naturally so. I enjoy the way everything unfolds, and love the ending.

I was excited about this whole story, and couldn't get enough of these men and their families. The parents are great and Walter is definitely a unique character. They don't get much more blunt than Walter. 

Chasing Cain is a riveting read. Megs Pritchard doesn't disappoint in this fabulous stepbrother romance.

If you enjoy an enemies to lovers romance, you need to read Meg Pritchard's Building Bridges, the fourth book in the Sater's Creek series.  

Elias and Lachlan are just not enemies; Elias was Lachlan's bully in high school. Elias is back in his hometown after leaving the Navy. He's always been closeted as a result of his father's homophobia. Lachlan, who's has been screwed over by his ex, is now face to face with his main enemy. 

What follows is an emotional journey for these men, as explanations are made, but fear rules Lachan's life. Their story is complicated, full of past wrongs and backstabbing. Their story includes frustration, apologies, and forgiveness. And, yes, it includes some hot sex. 

Ultimately, it's a story of moving on and accepting that people change. Watching Elias find himself, as well as his truth and strength in the Navy is inspirational, yet also bittersweet. 

The small town feel is well established, but it's the amazing group of friends and family which makes it fabulous. I love getting more of Keegan, as he's the cutest kid. And, omg, Brad and Reece's parents and their love of sex toys is hysterical. They alone are a good reason to read this book. 

Building Bridges is a wonderful continuation of the Sater's Creek series. It's easily read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading those too, as they are all fantastic. In this one, Megs Pritchard excels in her illustration of internalized homophobia and the effects it has on everyone. This book is definitely a great read.

With eight separate holiday romances, Stocking Stuffers is a good holiday anthology. From the first story, to the last, we get a great variety of stories. 

I love Fix Me Up, in which Nettles and Ian, former best friends, are reunited through a mistake. Their story is totally sappy, sweet, and will give you all the holiday feels. There's snow, Christmas trees, and family fun.

In Jake's Heart For Christmas, two online best friends meet up and the sparks fly. This one is a mix of GFY, friends to lovers, and some sweet first time kisses and more.

In some of the other stories, we get an insta-love romance between two complete opposites, a sweet menage romance, and more. The writing is great as we get a super fun friends to lovers tale, plenty of spicy first times, and romantic Christmas romances.

Not every story is my kind of read, so I skipped a few, but Stocking Stuffers has something for everyone.

Meg Pritchard's Healing Wounds is the third book in the Sater's Creek series. It probably can be read as a standalone, but is much better if you've read Broken Promises and Open Hearts.

In this book we get to read about Wes and his relationship with Reece. Their past involves a whole lot of sweet moments, which the author shows us in flashbacks. But the present is full of pain and anger. With Reece returning home, there's a whole lot of hurt and animosity, not just between Wes and Reece, but also those who helped Wes pick up the pieces when Reece left. The reader is able to feel the emotions involved as they each need to face the pain of their pasts.

The attraction and chemistry is still there for the two, but they certaintly don't give in immediately. Theirs is a story of forgiveness and taking chances. It's a story of following one's heart and grasping onto any chance at love. 

The writing is great, with alternating third person povs. Despite third person not being my favorite, this one never feels awkward or stilted. The author clearly excells in writing this way. 

But by far my favorite part of this book is Reece's mom. Her openness and complete lack of boundaries is hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing. She is amazing and we need more of her!

Overall, Healing Wounds is one hell of an enjoyable book. If you enjoy second chance romances, don't miss out on this Meg Pritchard read.

Open Hearts, the second book in Megs Pritchard's Sater's Creek series, is a fantastic story. It's super hot, intriguing, and riveting. If a gfy romance isn't hot enough, this one is double gfy!

It's a sweet story of two men discovering their feelings for one another, and trying to come to terms with being with a guy. The sex talks are great, and the first time moments are sweet.

I actually enjoy the display of homophobia in this story. Instead of being expected, it comes as a surprise. What I call "silent" homophobia is real yet less discussed than "obvious" homophobia. 

I enjoy the journey between Tucker and Rory. As two men who never looked at a guy sexually before, their relationship stems from a strong friendship. I love the way it's developed and carried out. 

Overall, I am loving this Sater's Creek series by Megs Pritchard and hope there are many more books to come.

Broken Promises, the first book in Megs Pritchard's Sater's Creek series, is a gripping book. 


Nick arrives in the US to meet his long lost siblings. His half brother Chase doesn't handle it well and a whole lot of animosity and anger ensues. And when Nick falls for Chase's best friend, Brad, more conflict arises. Not only does Brad butt heads with Chase, but Brad's in love with the man who's returning to England.

Not only a romance, this is also a story about family and forgiveness. This involves a cheating father who never told his new wife about his other family. It involves siblings who never knew the others existed. Honestly, this part of the story, although the catalyst for the romance, is a bit maddening and confuses. There are some questions left unanswered that just angered me. But, other than that, I liked it. 

I definitely enjoyed Broken Promises, especially once Chase starts to come around. The last half of the book is wonderful, and I love the ending.
