The Harrisburg Railers series is one of those special series that I could read over and over and over again. And Changing Lines is where it all starts.

Ten and Jared. Good god, I love them!

I first read this book years ago, and to this day, it's one of my favorites. I absolutely love Ten and Jared (Mads.) I love every single thing about them. 

I love the history between them. I love the want and need between them. I love the chemistry between them. 

They've known each other forever, but it's been awhile since they've seen each other. And now Ten is all grown up. 

I love each man's own journey during this book. Being closeted in hockey is the easy way to go. But, for Ten to come out as gay is harrowing. And the coming out never stops. To teammates. To siblings. To parents. To the hockey world.  

The forbidden romance aspect is large with these two. Not only do they think it would be a problem with Ten's family, but they are coach and player. 

Ten is one of my all time favorite book boyfriends, but god, I love Jared too. Love him. We learn all about Ryker, Jared's son who's making a name for himself in hockey. The tension between them and Ryker's grandfather is a tough read. 

Their story includes fighting their desires, frottage, and so much emotion. Ten's coming out to his parents scene is so damn emotional. 

Ten and Mads continue to be one of my all time favorite book couples. And luckily for us, there is so much more of their story to see in future books. 

Changing Lines is a must read for an sports romance fans. RJ Scott and VL Locey created magic with this book. And all their fans are lucky that they continued this magic throughout this series and the related ones. If you haven't yet read this book, do so now. You won't be sorry.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

I am just downright giddy about Austin, the fourth book in Candice Blake's Single Dads Club series. In this one, we get to read about Brayden who happens to be Clayton's son. 

Brayden's starting College where he's playing hockey. His father's best friend Austin happens to work at the college as a teacher and hockey coach. As the two men start to spend time together, Austin's surprised to find himself attracted to the younger man. 

Oh boy, the attraction is there, the chemistry is strong, and the ability to not give in to their feelings is no where to be seen.

Ohhhh...love the conflict. So much conflict. Teacher/student. Coach/athlete. Best friend's kid. So much to keep them apart, yet they can't resist.

If you love a gay for you romance, you'll especially enjoy this one, as it's a double gay for you tale. The age gap is fun, yet easily a non problem. 

I continue to struggle with the author's writing of dialogue. It's stilted, full of too many "he said"s. But the storylines and characters continue to make up for that distraction. I love these men and I love their stories. 

The story is light angst, as the conflict wasn't nearly as complicated as it could have been. Personally, I would have preferred a little more angst, but it's still good.

Austin is a fairly easy, quick read. It's perfect when you're the mood for something light yet juicy. Candice Blake will leave you smiling throughout.

Being Enough, the second book in the Portland Piranhas series, is a riveting enemies to Lovers romance.

Taking place at a summer camp, it's a combination of forced proximity, hooking up, friends with benefits, and more. It's a coach/player romance, as Eli and Colton manage to mend their differences and give into some hate sex. I highly enjoy their story.

The writing is great, entertaining, fluid, and quick paced. Told in alternating 1st person pov, the author grabs the reader and fully pulls them into the animosity between the two, and then treats us to their change of feelings in a successful manner.

Being Enough is a story of two athletes falling in love, but their tale takes place mostly outside of the game. If you're a sports romance fan though, there's plenty to keep you satisfied.

RJ Scott and VL Locey's Benoit, the third book in the Owatonna U Hockey series, is outstanding. An avid fan of this series, I can't imagine ever being disappointed by one of these books. I love the tone, and just find myself settling in for a comfy read every time. 

Riveting from the start, as Benoit's moving in with Ryker, Scott, and Haynes. It's his senior year, the pressure to succeed is high, and he's never been interested in love before. Until Ethan.

With an injury, Ethan's suddenly contemplating retiring. Upon volunteering to coach Benoit's team, he finds himself instantly attracted to the younger man. These are two men who are at different ends of their career, who have to deal with being closeted and coming out while an athlete. If that wasn't hard enough, Benoit also has to deal with racism and more.

I love Ethan immediately! Ethan's snark and sass with his brother is amazing, as is his whole family. I just adore their dynamics. Omg, the antics with Robbie are hysterical. And his mom had me in stitches.

And with all the charm of the previous books, we are treated to a lot of fun past characters and some new delightful supporting characters. And, of course, we get some Ten, who I absolutely love and adore!

I just love everything about Benoit and Ethan. They're a great couple, with great chemistry, and a deep love for one another. I adore their quirky personalities and the humor about their age gap.

Benoit's a beautiful story of following one's heart. It's a passionate tale of finding something important in your life.

I am an avid fan of Declan Rhodes, especially his sports books. I was super excited to get my hands on this new one, A Brand New Ballgame.

A Brand New Ballgame centers around baseball player, Chase, and his coach Aaron.  After hooking up when Chase gets called up to the minor leagues, both assume they won't be seeing each other again. They are surprised when Aaron becomes the new hitting coach on Chase's major league team. They know they aren't supposed to have a relationship, but they can't refrain from being together. Thus begins there secret romance. A few close friends know that they are a couple, but they are forcing themselves to remain secret to everyone else.

The face a few obstacles along the way, but they are super sweet together. I was definitely routing for them and am happy with how their story ended.  

I find A Brand New Ballgame to be a great, new baseball romance. Declan Rhodes manages to continue his usual writing style, which is quick and fast paced, with a good writing style, and some great characters, including some fun secondary characters. I was hooked from page one and couldn't put it down. I am hoping Declan Rhodes uses this book as groundwork for a new series. There is a lot of potential with some of the side characters.
