Captive (The Greaves Brothers #3) by Crista Crown

Blurb

Camden has a tough shell. His history of neglect has taught him no one can be trusted, so he holds his foster family at arm’s length, and everyone else even farther. When a little flirtation starts up with his new boss, Brian, he has no expectation of that shell cracking anytime soon.

Brian has already been down the commitment road, and he’d crashed and burned. He’s hesitant to start an office fling, but can a one night stand cause too much trouble?

But the temptation of the forbidden relationship is too much, and soon the men find themselves sharing more than the expected—not just their bodies, but their hearts. But for their relationship to move further, Camden will have to share his deepest darkest secret… about the relationship that prompted the government to take him from his parents and the pregnancy he lost.

Captive is the third in a contemporary mpreg trilogy of three men with broken pasts who became brothers, thanks to the only man who gave them a chance. It can be read as a standalone. Trigger warning for drug use. Warning! This book contains adult situations, with adults doing adult-only things, so 18+ readers only! Guaranteed HEA.

Trigger warning: contains past references to miscarriage.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Crista Crown continues her Greaves Brothers series with book three, Captive. And it's a great ride.

Camden's a wanderer till he meets his new boss, Brian. As they start a fling, they aren't looking for anything serious. But, soon, their relationship becomes more than they expected.

Their romance is hot and intense. I enjoy their age gap, as they both bring different things to the table. Both men have tough pasts that have left them scarred. Only together can they overcome their fears and move forward.

My favorite line is "a touch of forbidden combined with a challenge? It was a trap tailor-made for me."

Camden and Brian's tale is one of risks and insecurities. The miscarriage issue is well developed and touched upon in a great manner. The mental scars are long lasting and have definitely effected Camden's mental state.

I also love the wandering aspect of Cam's character. We all know that person who keeps looking for his/her place in the world, making this part of Cam relatable. It's emotional seeing him finally find his home.

Captive's a beautiful and riveting story of two men who aren't looking for a relationship. Crista Crown's whole Greaves Brothers series is a lot of fun and worth a read.

A Dangerous Declaration (Smoking Harts #2) by Crista Crown

Blurb

In the small resort town of Smokes, love is always burning…

Wes Evans has been in love with his best friend (and sometimes friend with benefits) Andrew Hart since before he understood what that word meant, but he’s never said a word, waiting for Andrew to make the first move. Wes has always followed Andrew. He didn’t expect to change that in love.

Andrew is the jump first, think later kind of guy, except when it comes to their clients at Smoke’s Adventure Crew where he and Wes have been working as guides since they were sixteen. Andrew has always felt more at home in the wilderness than anywhere else, and while the tours give him a way to make money doing something he loves, they don’t fill his hunger for adventure… adventure that would often put him in danger if Wes weren’t there to save him.

Every year, the two go on a backpacking trip, just the two of them. Andrew gets to indulge in his reckless behavior, Wes keeps him from injuring himself, and more often than not, they fall into bed, or sleeping bags, together each night.

But when Andrew takes one risk too many, Wes is faced with the realization that he can't follow Andrew forever without breaking something more important than bones… something like his heart.

This is the second in a contemporary mpreg trilogy of three brothers finding love in the small town of Smokes, where the embers of love burn deeply, but never die. It can be read as a standalone. Warning! This book contains adult situations, with adults doing adult-only things, so 18+ readers only!

A Dangerous Declaration is a great story by Crista Crown.

Be
st friends and roommates, Wes has long been in love with Andrew. Embarking on a camping trip sets them down a whole new life path, with an accidental pregnancy changing everything.

It's a story of two best friends navigating their feelings and figuring out their futures. It's about unrequited love, awareness, and discovery.

I have to admit that Andrew was annoying in his lack of awareness, but he makes up for it in the end. Together, Andrew and Wes have some sizzling chemistry and make a great couple.

I love everything about A Dangerous Declaration; the tone, pace, characters, and setting. Crista Crown's writing style is fantastic in her execution of this nice friends to lovers romance. Definitely check it out when you're in the mood for a sweet romance.

Beastly (The Greaves Brothers #1) by Crista Crown

Blurb

An Mpreg Romance.
“I had to. You can’t trust me, Alan. You said it yourself, you were scared of me. You don’t need that kind of man—you don’t need me.”

All Jeremy wants is to be a good man, like his adopted dad. He works hard as a mechanic, takes care of his brothers, and keeps his head down. His only vice these days is the occasional cigarette. When he'd stepped out onto the street, he hadn't expected to step right into a scene from his dark past, and when he saw that alpha smacking an omega around in front of their kid--something dark and terrifying unleashed in him.

Alan thought he and his son Simon had escaped his abusive ex, Mark, Simon's father. A year ago, Mark had hit six year old Simon for the first time, Alan gathered his courage, grabbed Simon, and ran as far as he possibly could. But Mark's found them, and he's not happy.

Somehow, he and Simon are saved by a tall, dark man with a vicious streak, and now they don't have to worry about Mark chasing them any longer. But have they just traded one dangerous situation for the next? Jeremy is nothing but tender after that first incident, and he's never laid a finger on them, but Alan doesn't know if he can trust an alpha with any kind of dark streak, no matter how protective he seems.

Jeremy is appalled at what he did to the abuser, but he doesn't regret it. It just confirms that he can't trust himself with a family of his own. He'll turn out just like his bio-dad, whether he wants to or not. But until Alan can get on his feet, he's going to make sure he and his kid are protected. Even if it's from himself.

Two broken men hold the key to each other's healing and their hearts--but can they get past their wounds to find the dream they've both longed for so long?

Beastly is the first in a contemporary mpreg trilogy of three men with broken pasts who became brothers, thanks to the only man who gave them a chance. Trigger warning for violence and abuse. Warning! This book contains adult situations, with adults doing adult-only things, so 18+ readers only! Guaranteed HEA.

Beastly, is a fun mpreg romance by Crista Crown.

I adore both men. Jeremy lives with a violent nature, but longs to be more like his adopted father. His violent nature, however, is what saves Alan, and his son Simon. With Simon's abusive ex after them, Jeremy is the one who keeps him safe.

I hate how Jeremy doubts himself, and considers himself broken. His story is heartbreaking. Seeing Alan try to make Jeremy see better about himself is beautiful and touching.

One of my favorite things is the way Simon is drawn to Jeremy. It's natural and tender. Simon is such a sweet kid, who you can't help but to fall in love with immediately. In general, Simon will bring out the feels, as he knows "'...my papa doesn't love me...'"

It's a story of attraction, need, and want. It's a story of fear, doubts, and mistakes. It's a story of taking chances and acting on one's chance at love.

Jeremy and Alan are sweet together, and have some hot moments. And, of course, this leads them to an accidental pregnancy.

Beastly is a hopeful mpreg love story. Crista Crown captures the beauty of looking beyond your past, and having faith in yourself. As well, this romance is a wonderful second chance for Alan to find love, and for Simon to find a loving papa.

Poisoned (The Greaves Brothers #2) by Crista Crown

Blurb

Max is a certified, grade-A screw up. And this unexpected baby is his only chance to recover who he used to be.

He was the kid everyone wanted to be. Fun, cute, popular, good grades. But it was all a facade. Desperate for his parents approval, he started with Adderall. Then coke. Then more.

The only thing that snaps him out of his self-destruction is the discovery that he’s pregnant. He’s desperate to do something right in his life, for once, if he hasn’t already lost his chance.

Darius knows three things for certain: 1. he was born to be a tattoo artist, 2. once an addict, always an addict, and 3. if someone was given the choice between him and anything else?

He’ll always get left behind.

But he’s a sucker for lost souls. He’s been one his entire life. And his business partner’s younger brother Max is nothing if not a lost soul. Darius is drawn to help the young omega, but he’s wary of Max’s past with drugs…

One baby may be the key to heal these two men’s hearts, and maybe, just maybe, open the door to love.

Poisoned is the second in a contemporary mpreg trilogy of three men with broken pasts who became brothers, thanks to the only man who gave them a chance. It can be read as a standalone. Trigger warning for drug use. Warning! This book contains adult situations, with adults doing adult-only things, so 18+ readers only! Guaranteed HEA.

Poisoned, by Crista Crown is riveting story of addiction, pregnancy, and recovery. It's a great enemies to lovers romance.

Max is the family screw up, an addict, who's trying to get clean since finding out he's pregnant. His brother helps him and gives him a job, setting off a strong attraction between him and Darius. As attracted as Darius is, he hesitates, as he struggles with first hand knowledge of addiction and doesn't trust the omega.

The attraction is intense and the tension is off the charts. In other words, you can feel it jumping off the pages.

It's a story of two people changing for the better. It's a story of hope, of desire to change and of recovery. It's a story of strength and support. It's a story of anger and forgiveness.

This is another great example of mpreg books being about so much more than the sex or pregnancy. If you don't read them, just take a chance and try one. Some of the stories and romances, as well as the struggles, are superb.

With Poisoned, Crista Crown has created a wonderful story of overcoming drugs and addiction. It's a beautiful slow burn romance, that is wonderfully developed.

A Loving Lie by Crista Crown

Blurb

An Mpreg Romance.

In the small resort town of Smokes, love is always burning…

When Colton Levine got down on one knee to propose to his long-term girlfriend, he saw his future clearly: engagement, finish medical school, wedding, a few years of residency, house, 2.5 kids. In that order.

It only took pulling one piece for the entire vision to crumble.

Left reeling by the revelation that his girlfriend had been cheating on him the whole time, he loses focus and ends up failing every class of his last semester of medical school. Lost and alone, he heads home to try to reclaim his sense of self, and to figure out if it’s still worth it to pursue any of his dream.

Zach Hart had always thought his best friend’s little brother, Colton, was cute, but holy smokes had he grown up hot! Zach would have never dreamed of making a move on straight Colton, but when Colton makes a move on him… well, he’s not going to say no to fulfilling two of his secret fantasies. Seducing the straight guy and his best friend’s brother? It’s a tempting combo, and Zach’s not that strong.

Their fling reminds Colton that his worth isn’t tied to another person, and he heads back to med school with a renewed sense of purpose, though his belief in himself is still fragile.

Then Zach finds out he’s pregnant, and the baby could only be Colton’s. He’s stunned to realize he’s fallen for Colton, and he’ll do anything to protect the other man and his dreams, even if it means raising their baby on his own.

But a baby can’t be kept secret forever, not in a town as small as Smokes. Not when a newly licensed Dr. Colton Levine returns, stirring up emotions Zach thought he’d buried years ago.

This is the first in a contemporary mpreg trilogy of three brothers finding love in the small town of Smokes, where the embers of love burn deeply, but never die. Warning! This book contains adult situations, with adults doing adult-only things, so 18+ readers only

A Loving Lie is a fun and a cute mpreg romance. And better yet, it includes some fun tropes - best friend's brother and secret baby.

I am such a sucker for this type of book. They are sweet together, and I love how they resolved everything in the end. Yes, things were resolved way too quick, but that just means less angst, which is welcome at times. And they are super adorable as a couple.

If you enjoy a good mpreg, don't miss out on this one.
