Gifts for the Season is an amazing book. This multi-author anthology is sweet, tender, and beautiful. if you love Christmas and winter stories, you will love this collection. 

Several authors take us on a bonus journey with their already established characters. And omg, I loved them all. It's a wonderful gift when authors give us little extras like these. If you haven't read their older books though, you will not be lost at all. You will just love the sweet stories and be introduced to the amazingness of the authors. 

Some authors wrote all new short stories. And there's equally as wonderful. Each of the couples are well developed, with the reader never missing any of the buildup. 

I highly recommend Gifts for the Season. Not only will you be getting an amazing collection of winter and Christmas romances, but all the proceeds go to the Trevor Project. Basically, it's a win-win.

Posy Roberts' Socks For an Otter is a great May to December romance full of hope and healing. 

Louis, man who's suffered tremendous loss, is drowning in his grief. Bash meanwhile is a homeless man who takes a dislike to Louis based on his being rich. 

What follows is a beautiful story of love and romance, as these two men get to know one another, and fall in love. The character growth in both men is stupendous and they both have much to offer each other.

The author masterfully sheds a light on the important issue of homelessness. The reader is able to understand Bash's struggles, both to survive on the streets, as well as the difficulties to find a job while homeless. This is written with knowledge and purpose, as well as compassion and care.

The author also illustrates the problems with privledge. As Bash was born with privledge, he sees the problems that result in such a status and way of life. This part is tremendously explored. 

The writing is great, with a wonderful flow, and great dialogue. 

My favorite quote is "...sharing the burdens of our pasts. I'll carry yours and you'll carry mine. And that way we are never alone." This is just beautiful and brought tears to my eyes.


Overall, Socks for an Otter covers a heavy subject, but Posy Roberts manages to make it an easy read; one full of hope.

Feathers From the Sky is a beautiful Christmas romance. This is a tender story of introducing your roommate to your family as your boyfriend. 

For the holidays, Cal is home and bringing his secret boyfriend Philip with him. Cal's always been frustrated that his family doesn't understand his bisexuality, thus has been pretending Philip is just his roommate.

I love this book from the start. It's full of big crazy family antics, fun holiday antics, and a fun snow ball fight. And don't forget about the hot scenes!

The writing is fabulous, riveting, and fluid. I couldn't put it down.

In an absoluely magical moment, the reader learns the importance of the title. It is truly a spectacular scene.


Feathers From the Sky is a fabulous story of love and acceptance. It's a short and sweet, heart warming and feel good Christmas read. This Posy Roberts book is an absolutely beautiful story which illustrates that the truth makes one lighter.

Posy Roberts' Analog to Digital is a super sweet Christmas romance.

When Ethan and Toby come home for Christmas, things aren't going so well in their relationship. Sweet from the start, this is the story of an established couple who navigate the differences in their opinions about marriage. 

You'll get a great feel of the holidays with some family fun, some snow, and all the magic of Christmas. It's predictable and wonderful, leaving you happy and smiling. Along the way you'll enjoy the sadness, all the while knowing it's going to resolve itself in a wonderful way.

Analog to Digital  is another adorable Christmas romance. Short and quick, this is a must read when you're looking for a little dose of holiday spirit.

As a HUGE fan of Posy Robert's North Star Trilogy, I was elated to pick up Lonely Hearts and see Hugo in the Lonely Hearts Club chatroom. What a delightful surprise.

The whole trilogy is sweetly done, with chatroom conversations in between the novellas. This works so well at letting us get to know the characters, both before and after their stories. This Lonely Hearts Club chatroom idea is brilliant and a whole lot of fun.

In the four novellas, we get a great variety. Each story stands alone well, but is even better with the others. It's fun to follow the men as they unknowingly stumble upon their own Mr Rights at the perfect time for them. Each novella is well written, with a whole lot of sweetness and sexiness. 

In Bent Arrow, we get to follow Luther and Erik as they slowly get to know each other. Erik's one who prefers to get to know someone before hooking up with them. When the two find themselves spending all their time together, they have some decisions to male. This one does a great job of discussing bisexuality in a good and fun way.

In Stroke Of Luck, we get to follow Marc and Cas, who meet after Marc has lost his home and possessions in a fire. As he's struggling to rebuild his life, he continues to run into Cas. As much as Cas likes Marc, Cass struggles to get involved, and eventually he has some decisions to make. This story is entertaining, with some great laughs included. 

In Momo: My Everything, we watch as William and Nate fall in love. When they meet, William is instantly attracted to Nate, but he needs the outgoing Nate to pull him out of his shy and reserved ways. This story is great, as both men balance the other. And, of course, William has some decisions to make since he isn't out. This one does a great job of addressing sexuality versus masculinity.  

In Love On A Battlefield, we follow Andrew and Shep, who actually meet at a reenactment of a battlefield. After going their separate ways for years, they continue to keep in touch through writing to each other about all the good and the bad. When they reunite, there are a lot of tough decisions to make. This story just melts my heart. I also adore a good second chance romance, and the added complications to this one just make it so emotional.  

Overall, the Lonely Hearts novella is a lot of fun. The men are fun, their stories vary so darn much, and in the end, they all find their true love. Posy Roberts does a great job combining these novellas into a fantastic bundle. If you like novellas, don't miss out on this collection.

REVIEW - 5 Stars!

If you’ve followed my reviews of The North Star Trilogy by Posy Roberts, you know why it will always hold a special spot in my heart. Re-edited and re-released, Flare, the final book in this must-read-in-order series, finds Hugo and Kevin moving on from the loss of Erin, and dealing with their new reality. Unfortunately, this new reality includes Erin’s parents, who want custody of the children. This causes a whole lot of stress for the men, as well as the kids.

In addition, Kevin and Hugo must figure out how to raise the children together and decide what to do about their living arrangements, while being forced to ward off homophobia.

Hugo is facing prejudice at every turn, from the children’s teacher, to their grandparents, and a whole lot of the town’s residents. He’s miserable with the treatment he is receiving in their small-town, and it’s taking a toll on him. He wants to be with Kevin, but he isn’t sure that he can survive much longer. Either he walks away now, or he’s going to have to talk to Kevin, and that means some big decisions.

One of those decisions is deciding if they should combine their separate homes, despite spending most nights together. Which leads to one memorable and spicy scene!

There are so many aspects of this story which touch me and make it such a memorable series. One of my favorite parts is Kevin’s daughter, Brooke’s relationship with Hugo. He is so tender, attentive and sweet with her. He’s truly proving to be a wonderful “parent,” as he helps her with everything from bullying to her adolescent changes.

I also love the way in which Kevin not only accepts Hugo’s drag career, but is turned on by it. As Hugo never expected to find a man who would accept this side of him, he’s beyond touched and appreciative of Kevin’s reaction. This wonderful aspect of their relationship makes their romance superb and mesmerizing.

And I can’t forget to mention Hugo’s remarkable, and continuing, friendship with Summer. They truly have the bond we all desire, full of absolute support and a willingness to do anything for each other. Their friendship definitely brings happy tears to my eyes during several scenes, as it has throughout this series.

Posy Roberts’ writing style continues to be captivating, artistic and riveting. The storyline flows seamlessly and will keep you reading late into the night. The tone of her writing is magical, as the reader is whisked along with the characters to places described in the book.

As with each installment in this trilogy, one of the most skillfully written “characters” is that of water. The water becomes a magical calming presence, sometimes as a lake, sometimes as the ocean, and sometimes as a river, or a shower. It is one beautiful and artistic aspect of this collection that I will never forget.

Flare is the perfect ending to Posy Roberts’ North Star Trilogy, as it will leave you enchanted with the way things wrap up in the end. I am thrilled that Posy re-released this series!
