Most Wanted (Wrecked: Guardians #3) by Kelly Fox

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Thane: Letting him go was the biggest mistake of my life. Giving me a second chance might be the biggest mistake of his.
I’d spent a year as Ronan’s friend-with-benefits, convincing myself that he could never feel the way I felt.
I was floored when those three little words flew out of his mouth.
So, I ran. And have regretted that decision every day for the last five years.
Now fate has led him back to me and to the Guardians, the merry band of mercenaries who have become my family.
Our last several missions have gone sideways, and Ronan is convinced that he needs to go back into the field to understand what our team is dealing with.
He’s putting himself in harm's way and we can’t keep our hands off each other.
God help me if anything happens to him.

Ronan: I can't think of anything more dangerous than giving my heart to a man who's already destroyed it.
Then again, I might not have much say in the matter.
My life’s been upended, and the only place that’s safe is with Thane and the Guardians.
It doesn't take us long to figure out that our passion burns just as hot as it always did.
Undeniable. Unstoppable.
I can't keep my hands off him, but I can't go back to being his friend with benefits.
And I have no clue how to trust him.
Thing is...if we could learn to trust each other, I might actually have something to offer this team of morally flexible do-gooders.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Most Wanted is the third book in the Wrecked: Guardians series by Kelly Fox. It's easily read as a standalone, but I suggest reading the others just cause they're great too.

This is a second chance for Thane and Ronan. They're still hot for each other, but it takes them a while to talk about their issues. There is a lot of pent up hurt and pain that's been carried through the years. This is one hell of an emotional read as we see the effects of Thane's family issues.

The action/ danger missions are fantastic. It's tough to read at parts, as there's child trafficking, rape, and more. So be prepared.

Luckily, the author adds in plenty of light times, including banter to keep things from being too heavy.

Thane and Ronan are fantastic together. And damn, there's also some hot chemistry between the men. But they emotionally belong together and it's awesome to see them work things out.

I love the writing, as it's well developed with complex characters and a multi-layered storyline. It's fast paced, with non-stop action, and plenty of twists and turns.

Most Wanted is a fantastic story and the whole Wrecked: Guardians series is amazing. I love it all.

Hard Target (Wrecked: Guardians # 1) by Kelly Fox

Everett: There are a ton of reasons why falling for my tiny, adorkable best friend is a terrible idea—starting with the body in my trunk.

I have other reasons—he still mourns his late husband, I’m way older, he’s a foot shorter, my tattoo shop is a front, he’s an assistant professor at UT.

Still, I can’t help but think we’d be perfect for each other if I didn’t kill people (very, very bad people) for a living.

Rafi: How the f*ck did I not realize how hot my best friend is? Yeah, grief, or whatever, but were my eyes not working?

Silver fox, check. Tattooed hotness, check. Cuddles with me on Monday nights while we watch Australian melodramas, check. Says he’s not a good person but totally is, check.

New goal: Get Everett to stop looking at me like a grieving widower and start seeing me as someone he’d like to pin against the wall.

Now if I only knew what was behind the door marked Portal to Nowhere…

Hard Target is a mercenary MM romance set in Austin and the Texas Hill Country. It features tattooed hotties, adorably complicated twinks, best friend antics, an illegally confiscated vineyard, and a team of killer do-gooders.

This is the first book in the Wrecked: Guardians Series. Several characters from the Wrecked series make an appearance, but the Guardians books can be read as stand-alones.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Kelly Fox's Hard Target is a good hurt/comfort read. Kelly Fox once again packs a lot of emotion into this story.

Rafi and Everett are two men who come together under horrific circumstances, but have now grown close to one another. They are complex men with complex backgrounds. They are good friends who have a strong connection and intense attraction to one another.

This story follows Rafi's painfully slow revelation and acceptance of his feelings for his best friend. Everett is a lot of fun to get to know. As for Rafi, oh god, his grief is front and center, as he's dealing with the death of his ex.

This is a story with grief, guilt, and pain. And oh dear lord, Rafi talking to his dead husband is one hell of an emotional aspect of this tale.

I love the age gap and the size difference between the men. Dear god, I can just picture them together. Swoon.

Written in alternating 1st person pov, the men fully come alive. Every emotion, every thought is right there for the reader to feel. The writing is fabulous, the characters intriguing, and the storyline compelling. The author does a great job combining some humor with some darker subjects, as Everett has a quick trigger finger. I definitely enjoyed that.

Hard Target is an entertaining romance. Kelly Fox combines friends to lovers with a size difference and a whole lot of healing. The story is definitely worth a read when you're in the mood for a tough journey from friends to lovers.

Shameless (Wrecked #3) by Kelly Fox

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

Two things I know for sure:
1. Cheerleading absolutely prepared me to become a US Navy SEAL
2. Heath Treadway hates my guts

Let’s just say that this beautiful bear’s hatred for me involves a high school nickname and possibly a limerick. #badtwink

Now, he's back in my life. And all I wanna do is show him that I’ve changed.

My attempts so far have ended in hospitalization, second-degree burns, and a destroyed towel rack. To be fair, I blame that last one on the hate sex.

Worse than all of that? I’ve started to catch feelings, and if he finds out about the military op that forever changed me, it might be game over.

I mean… can he forgive me if I can’t even forgive myself?

Shameless is post-military enemies-to-lovers MM romance set in a gym for combat vets. It features muscled twinks, beautifully-bellied bears, and a four-year-old with a lisp.

Note: This book depicts military violence, but the HEA is guaranteed.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Kelly Fox's Shameless, the third book in the Wrecked series, is fabulous.
All the emotions come out in this story of second chances and redemption.

This is a story of attraction and hate sex. It's a story of not being able to admit one's feelings. It starts with some animosity, as these men where enemies in high school.

In the beginning, it's tough to figure out who was the bad guy. Of course, it ends up neither is. Roly was a jerk in high school and his mocking of the large sized Heath came with lasting effects. Heath is a bear who has always been heavy, and Roly made his life hell.

I love Roly, especially his reason for being attracted to bears now. It's so damn touching.

Their story is one of a whole lot of hate sex. At first.

This story includes PTSD, guilt, and more, all of which is well developed. There are self esteem and self worth issues. As with the previous books in the series, the author includes a wonderful, large group of friends in this story. They are all lovable and add immensely to the fun. Basically, if you're a fan of series with returning friends, you'll enjoy this one a lot.

In a touching subplot to the tale, Heath's daughter faces many challenges, and her story will break your heart.

And in the end, the author explores the power of words, as they have been used against people and capable of scarring people for years. It's poignant and an important thing to remember.

Shameless is a stellar tale that reinforced that people grow and change. If you enjoy seeing character growth, you will love Shameless.

Surrender (Wrecked #2) by Kelly Fox

Dark cloud, meet seven-foot wall of sunshine.
We’ve been friends for almost a year, we both volunteer at my brother-in-law’s gym for combat vets, and the chemistry between us is undeniable. So, getting together should be a no brainer, right?
Yeah, not so much.
Pairing up the joyful refugee NBA hero with me—the grumpy wanna-be artist who cracks jokes about being waterboarded—has got to be the mother of all bad ideas.
An even worse idea? Let’s add a splash of kink to the mix.
We’re all going to need a little therapy after this.

Surrender is a post-military, hurt-comfort MM romance with gentle power exchange, a therapy office set next to a sex club, and a gym full of scorching hot head cases.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Kelly Fox's Surrender, the second book in the Wrecked series, is fabulous. If you haven't yet read Sanctuary, this series revolves around a gym that is for ex-military men. It can be read as a standalone, but is definitely more enjoyable if you've read the first book.

We met Jean-Pierre and Jake in the first book, and are blessed with their story now. Both men have PTSD and a whole slew of painful memories. Their story is emotional, as they slowly get to know each other better, breaking down barriers. They are broken men whose broken pieces ultimately fit together perfectly.

Jean-Pierre's a former NBA player who was married to stay closeted. Unlike many books, his ex wife is actually wonderful and lovable.

Both men like kink, yet Jake can't allow himself to do a lot of his favorite things anymore, making for some intense scenes. There's some breathe play and more, adding a lot of emotion to their sex scenes. The moments of dealing with Jake's panic attacks are mesmerizing, and will bring a tear to your eyes. Luckily for the reader though, in addition to BDSM, there's also a hot docking scene.

The flashbacks are often, the triggers are plenty, and all of it's written with care and understanding. My favorite thing though may just be the level of sweetness involved. Their endearments are adorable, making me smile often.

I love this book. It's written with sensitivity, thoughtfulness, and understanding. As well, the danger is real and the fear is intense. But, best of all is the amazing group of friends and family that are part of this world. The author captures the readers heart with the love, support, and meddling involved. This is a group we'd all want to be a part of.

Surrender is a beautiful comfort/hurt romance. Kelly Fox entertains in this gripping romance. It's an impressive multi-layered romantic read of two men who love hard. You won't regret spending time with these amazing men.

Sanctuary (Wrecked, #1) by Kelly Fox

Amazon Link - Available in KU

What's the first rule of running a gym for combat vets? Enjoy the scorching hot scenery, but get your kicks somewhere else.

Never mind that my cousin-slash-business partner ignores that rule every chance he gets. I don't ignore it. Ever. And frankly, between Grindr and living in one of the gayest cities in America, it's not exactly a hardship.

Hell, it's so easy, I can do it on one leg.

That is, until a pair of blue eyes swimming with vulnerability shows up at my door, looking for a job. He's too skinny, too mouthy, and way too young for the likes of me, but he pings that protector instinct in me, hard.

I want to fix whatever put that lost look in his eyes, but to manage that, I'd have to do the one thing I said I'd never do.

Break my own rules.

Sanctuary is an MM military romance featuring hurt-comfort, found family, and a gym full of ripped men wearing tight shorts lifting heavy objects.

My Rating - 5+ Stars!

Kelly Fox's Sanctuary, the first book in the Wrecked series, is an amazing read.

It's a wonderful tale that sucked me in from the start. From there it only gets better. I love, love, love it. Thus the 5+ stars.

The author delves into the struggles that veterans experience upon returning home. In a caring and compassionate manner, she explores the ways in which both the mind and body are altered. This book illustrates the plight of homeless veterans, including the difficulty to find a bed at night and the troubles with finding a job.

Nick is the owner of a gym that caters to veterans. This idea is fantastic, creating an interesting background for the series. An ex Navy Seal, he is an amputee who doesn't let his loss define him.

Elijah, an ex Marine who's struggling to keep himself clothed, is luckily hired as a gym employee. He's been alone forever, is without a home, and desperately longs for a family and a place to belong. He's brilliant with his ideas for the gym and has the perfect personality to help the clients. He's truly a bright light for Nick's gym.

In this extremely touching story, Nick and Elijah are stellar together, each full of strength to lift the other up. They're two men who have both suffered during their military service, leaving each of them with their share of self eesteem issues.

The author also explores transphobia and the problems that trans people face. This is a fantastic addition to the story, and I can't wait to read more about this in the rest of the series.

With a superb writing style, the storyline is complex, fluid, and includes plenty of heat. The dialogue is flawless, as the author clearly excels in written dialogue.
The characters are extremely well developed, fully coming alive for the reader. They are both compelling characters with an intense connection. Adding to the fun, the author includes some amazingly intriguing secondary characters, all of whom need their own stories told.
Sanctuary is tender, sensitive and emotional. Kelly Fox impresses in this tale of two men finding themselves again, all through the strength of love. The storyline is as riveting as it is deep. It's romantic, flows magnificently, and includes some surprises. It's perfect when you're looking for your next hurt/comfort read. It's beautiful, full of character growth. And best of all, there are more books in this series to come. I, for one, can't wait!
