Snare by Zoe Piper

Goodreads Link

Kellet James has few regrets in life, except maybe one. Jamie Larke. Walking away from their shared dreams of fame and fortune for responsibility and family was the hardest decision he’d ever had to make.

Seventeen years later, Jamie is back, offering Kellet the opportunity of a lifetime. Larkspur, the band they formed in high school, needs a new drummer for the last leg of their world tour.

With the help of a meddling teenager and with his best friends’ support, Kellet reluctantly agrees to Jamie’s offer, and is immediately thrown into a whirlwind of rehearsals and sold-out shows across North America. Adding to the maelstrom is the connection he and Jamie still share. A connection Jamie wants to rekindle.

Can Kellet and Jamie have a second chance at love, or are they destined to be a one-hit wonder?

Snare is a low(ish) angst, sweet with heat, second chance MM romance.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

Snare is a fun second chancer rocker romance by Zoe Piper.

Jamie and Kellet's tale is one that began 17 years ago, when they had a chance to make it big together. Instead, Kellet stayed behind to raise his son while Jaime went off to make it big in the music industry.

Now, 17 years later, Jamie is back to ask Kellet to join the band. Here starts the two small decisions to be made.

Oh, I love how Kellet gave up his chance to be there for his son. It's a beautiful thing. But, can he leave now? His son is old enough and will be off to college. Thus, Kellet can grab this chance if he wants.

As for the romance, as much as the men are still attracted to each other, both have some fears about getting involved again.

Adding to the fun is Kellet's son, Will. Joining the band on tour before he starts college, he definitely wants the men together and is a delightful character. I absolutely adore his part in this story.

Snare's a short, quick, low angst tale that is easily read in one sitting. Zoe Piper brings a lot of sweetness to this second chance romance. This book is pure fluff and full of happiness. It's definitely worth a read the next time you are in the mood for such.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Igniting the Flame is a riveting friends to lovers romance. The third book in Zoe Piper's Kiwi Guys series, it is every bit as wonderful as the previous books.

Brett and Stuart are best friends and roommates. Stuart has long crushed on his friend who's suddenly exploring his sexuality. Their story is one of two friends struggling with their new found feelings and desired changes in their relationship.

Their story involves some great first times, as Brett finally realizes that he's falling in love with his best friend. And, to make things better, this is a wonderful first time of falling in love for Stuart. The author excels in the exploration of going from friends to lovers. Trying out some sexual stuff with a friend is a huge difference from admitting one's feelings and risking a friendship.

There's awkwardness, tension, flirty, and teasing. And, in a move I wasn't expecting, there's action, suspence, and danger as well.

The author's writing style is fluid and completely addicting. From the start, I was hooked, and it just got better and better. Her writing style is fantastic, including some great dialogue and a compelling plot.

Igniting the Flame is a totally delightful and charming romance. I love every moment of this romantic story of love and friendship. This Zoe Piper read is perfect when you're in the mood for friends to lovers.

I love The Sweetest Song by Zoe Piper! It's fun, romantic, and contains a lot of humor.

Cooper's 28, a rock star and was a superficial model. After breaking up with him, Cooper needs an escape and goes to stay with his bodyguard and his family. There he meets his bodyguard's brother, Charlie.

We met Charlie is Winning Love's Lottery, where he provides a plethora of humor. Now we get to know him better and we get to see his vulnerable side.

Charlie and Cooper immediately take note of one another, and end up forming a great companionship and having some amazing sex together. Problem is, Cooper is only in NZ temporarily and will need to be returning to his job and his home. But they agree to make the most of the time they do have together.

The love and passion between these two men is hot! They compliment each other perfectly, despite being from very different worlds. They are caring, supportive, and connect on many levels.

This story contains a crazy and selfish ex, in addition to the fantastic group of friends and family we met in Winning Love's Lottery.

I highly recommend The Sweetest Song to any fan of contemporary romance, as well as any fan of romances containing rock stars. This Zoe Piper novel is fun, emotional, and will leave you fully satisfied! As for me, it leaves me needing more from Zoe asap!

Winning Love's Lottery is a fantastic m/m debut by Zoe Piper.

Jase and Kyle have an instant attraction that jumps off the page. As they are spend some time together, this attraction builds to more.

Jase is a compelling character, as he's smart, sensible and has been keeping a large secret from his friends and family. The story of his wealth is fun and enjoyable. And, of course, one cannot help but to love how humble he is about it all.

Kyle's new to the country and I love his story too. He is actually very rich also, but has been burned by someone wanting him just for his money. This, with Jase's secret, make for a wonderful storyline.

In the bedroom, the two connect perfectly. Kyle's always been expected to be in charge, so it is fun watching him give up control in the bedroom. Personally, I always enjoy this in a story, as one can only take so much of being control.

Outside of the bedroom, they are super compatible and lend so much joy and love to one another. They are sweet, tender and romantic.

The Auckland setting is refreshing and fun. As someone who has visited Auckland, I completely appreciated the great descriptions of the city.

One of the best parts of the story is the extended group of friends and family. They are a wonderful, supportive group, who have a great, witty and snarky banter with each other, which leads to some amusing humor. I always adore a story with an entertaining group of friends, and this group is fabulous! They are definitely a group I'd love to be friends with.

Winning Love's Lottery is well written, with a wonderful tone and pace. It contains a fun plot, some steamy scenes, and includes a lot of light hearted moments. I definitely recommend this Zoe Piper debut to anyone who enjoys a fun contemporary romance!
