Season's Change (Trade Season #1) by Cait Nary

A veteran hockey player and a rookie can't get away from each other—or their own desires—in this sexy, heartfelt opposites-attract hockey romance.

Olly Järvinen has a long way to go. He’s got a fresh start playing for a new team, but getting his hockey career back on track is going to take more than a change of scenery. He’s got to shut his past out and focus. On the game, not on his rookie roommate and his annoyingly sunny disposition—and annoyingly distracting good looks.

All Benji Bryzinski ever wanted was to play in the big leagues, and he’s not going to waste one single second of his rookie season. Yoga, kale smoothies and guided meditation help keep his head in the game. But his roommate keeps knocking him off track. Maybe it’s just that Olly is a grumpy bastard. Or maybe it’s something else, something Benji doesn’t have a name for yet.

Olly and Benji spend all their time together—on the ice, in the locker room, in their apartment—and ignoring their unspoken feelings isn’t making them go away. Acting on attraction is one thing, but turning a season’s fling into forever would mean facing the past—and redefining the future.

Trade Season

Book 1: Season's Change

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Season's Change is a fabulous hockey romance by Cait Nary.

Damn! I love this book.

It's a super hot romance full of tension and steamy moments.

A player falling for his roommate and teammate; what more could you ask for?

For Benji, he discovers his bisexual side, with some feelings developing, and a super hot threesome sparking things further. Ollie meanwhile, has plenty of his own issues to deal with, including some past traumatic events.

The writing is great, as Cait had me both laughing and crying at times, fully pulled into the emotions throughout. There are a bunch of secondary characters who add to the fun. Everyone is fabulous and easy to fall in love. I love a good sports romance and this one is just that. The sports parts of the story are well done, and I adore the relationship.

Love it all!

Season's Change is a must read the next time you're in the mood for a sports romance. Cait Nary will not disappoint in this slow burn, bisexual awakening gem.

His Heart Knows by Riley Long

Goodreads Link

People fall in love with their best friends all the time. But for me, the circumstances of this unrequited attraction are even more agonizing.

I am gay.

My best friend, Sawyer, is not.

Since we were fifteen, I've harbored this torturous crush. Now, as we both enter our thirties, it seems time to resign myself to the fact that nothing is going to come of it. Ever.

Or so I thought…

One night, a bottle of gin and a little uncharacteristic self-pity were all the inspiration I needed to launch into a ramble about being alone because I’m bad at everything - even kissing. Determined to prove me wrong, Sawyer decided to shut me up with a kiss.

I know he meant for it to be innocent.

Turns out it was anything but.

Sparks flew as we unlocked a side of Sawyer he never knew existed. Now, more than anything, he wants me by his side forever. But this realization comes with its own set of obstacles. Can we learn to lean on each other as we build a future together? Or will the stresses of our day to day lives tear us apart?

My Rating - 4 Stars!

His Heart Knows is a sweet friends to lovers romance by Riley Long.

This one starts slow and took me a while to become fully invested. I found it hard to care about the characters for a little while.

But once I did, I enjoyed their story. It's a bisexual awakening between best friends, with one having long been in love with the other.

Their story is full of hot and sexy first times and plenty of charming moments between the two.

Their story also includes an opposites attract, with a rich versus poor aspect. One's family is high society and controlling, with major expectations. The other came from a poor family that was full of love.

The writing style is nice, but there are some things with the story that threw me off and kept the score lower.

Overall, His Heart Knows is a nice romance with an adorable ending. I'm glad I gave this Riley Long book a chance.

The Real Baxter (The Baxter Chronicles #1) by Lane Hayes

The silver-fox and the faux bodyguard…

Sebastian

Who’s the true hero behind the Hollywood heartthrob, crime-fighting, adventure-seeking international man of mystery? Me. I’m the real Baxter.

Well, I wear the suit and let the action play out onscreen. You want to know the secret of my success? Sell the story you want to tell. Even if you have to bend the truth a little.

Okay…a lot.

Trust me, no one will notice. Except Trent, who seems to notice everything. And for some reason, I like that. I like him. I’m just not sure what to do about it.

Trent

Look, I’m not exactly killing it. I’m a typical struggling actor-slash-waiter, hoping for a break. And boom…in walks Sebastian Rourke. He’s a cutthroat, wickedly charming silver fox, a Hollywood legend in the making. No joke. You’ve got to sell a piece of your soul to get in this man’s orbit. Or fake a British accent, then take a job playing bodyguard to fool the press. As one does.

I know I should take advantage of the very strange situation I find myself in, but I’m not sure I’m cut out for it. However, I’m willing to take a chance, ’cause I want the real Seb.

Even though it might cost me everything.

The Real Baxter is a MM age-gap, bisexual romance featuring the man who has everything and the actor who’s willing to show him what’s real.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

The Real Baxter is a great start to The Baxter Chronicles series by Lane Hayes.

Seb, who we met in the Starting From series, is a famous and wealthy Hollywood man. From the start, his relationship with Trent is everything I never saw coming.

Trent definitely brings out a different side to Seb. And I love it. Seb isn't a bad guy, but love isn't on his mind when he meets the inexperienced actor. He just has a lot going on in his life and isn't looking for anything serious.

These two are fabulous together. I enjoy the layers to their relationship, as well as the unconventionality of it.

Their story is hot and emotional in all the best ways. I love the age gap as well as the opposites attract. And damn, these two are complete opposites in every way.

Of course, there's a fake relationship aspect which is well executed. We all know how Hollywood is about fake relationships.

The writing is wonderful, with a lot of heart, and a slew of secondary characters who we all have come to love.

The Real Baxter is everything I never knew I needed. This looks to be the start of another amazing series by Lane Hayes. Be sure to check it out.

Ronan's Boy (Escape Club) by J.J. Harper

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Can Ronan keep his firecracker safe? Or is it better to let his best friend help him?
Ronan is tired of hooking up. Of watching other men at Escape find their forever boys. He wants his own and he knows he's out there.
Cody will be the perfect boy for the right Daddy, he needs to have the precise Dom-to-Daddy ratio. But he isn't exactly tripping over men who want more than a night of fun.
So, yeah, needle meet haystack.
Then one night, they were both in the right place at the right time.
Ronan can't take his eyes off the perfect boy in the silver hot-pants, and tight, cropped T. He knows if he takes this boy home, he'll never want to let him leave,
Cody knows from the moment their lips touch he will never want another Daddy. Ronan is the man he's been looking for.
When Ronan introduces Cody to his best friend, Harley, new fantasies set in. Could he share his boy? Would Cody want them both?
Danger threatens Cody and the life he has with Ronan. Maybe having two Daddies is safer?

Ronan's boy is an age-gap, no age-play gay romance with plenty of hot and steamy Daddy/boy action.
Intended for readers aged eighteen or over.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ronan's Boy is one hell of a hot Daddy romance. This JJ Harper gem is part of the wonderful world of the Escape Club series, but it's easily read as a standalone.

And omg, what a story! I love every moment of it.

Cody and Harley are amazing together and their chemistry is off the charts. From their first meeting, to their developing relationship, to their sizzling threesome, every moment with these two is fabulous.

Their story includes a lot of learning how to navigate their needs and desires. It's an insta love story that also includes a stalker element.

Ronan's Boy is a must read if you're in the mood for a hot Daddy romance. This JJ Harper book will not disappoint.

MF - RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - The Love Playbook by Jerica MacMillan

Jackson Lancaster is a mystery. At least to me.

He's not your typical jock at all—shy, studious, and apparently not looking to get all the action he can.

I know, I know, stereotypes are bad. But if the shoe fits ...

Except in this case, it doesn't. At all. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen Jackson with anyone, male, female, or otherwise.

When I learn that it's lack of experience holding him back—not lack of interest, and definitely not lack of opportunity—I find myself drawn to the idea of helping him out.

I've been looking for a project. And it seems like teaching Jackson the ways of love and pleasure is just the project I need.

The Love Playbook is a standalone love tutor romance featuring a shy, straight-laced football player and the off beat woman who turns his world upside down. HEA guaranteed!

My Rating - 4 Stars!

The Love Playbook is a hot sports romance by Jerica MacMillan.

I have mixed feelings about this one. It took me a while to like Autumn. I appreciate how open she is about sex and how quirky she is. But I felt a little weird about her proposition. I just found her to be pushy, until I read more.

Once I was over that issue, the story grew on me. Autumn and Jackson are great together.

Poor Jackson is so clueless about girls. I just love him! Having Autumn as his love tutor, making the first move, and then more moves, is exactly what he needed. And let's just say that everything that follows in hot!

And in the end, Autumn discovers that Jackson is just what she needs to let her heart open to love.

This is a tale with plenty of college fun, first times, and some great returning secondary characters.

The Love Playbook is a fun college sports romance. This Jerica MacMillan book is sweet and a great way to pass the time with a New Adult romance.

Always (Indigo Falls #1) by Loren Leigh

Amazon Link - Available in KU

I avoid him.

Every time Kepler Quinn steps into a room, I get the hell out.

He does . . . something to me. When those discerning gray eyes flick towards me, his brow rising in a silent greeting, there’s a tightening of my abs. A zapping hum quivering low along my spine.

There are about a million reasons it shouldn’t be what the little voice in the back of my head insists . . . a crush.

Because Kepler isn’t just some random guy. He’s my brother’s best friend. He’s also my TA for physics this semester. And also . . . a guy. I’ve never held strongly onto being straight, but I’ve also never had this sun-scorching need for another guy before.

But I can’t avoid him when we’re suddenly in the back stacks of the library—alone—nothing but the smell of old books and softly falling dust around us. And instead of walking away from him, I let out the two words that burn in my throat:

“Kiss me."

Always is a swoony M/M college romance with a bisexual awakening and sizzling chemistry. It’s the first in the Indigo Falls College series, a standalone, and features a happy ending.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Always is a fabulous start to the Indigo Falls series by Loren Leigh. I am truly in love with this story.

Kepler and Jin are amazing together. The longing and pining between them jumps off the pages. And damn, when they get together, the sex is sizzling.

There's a lot to their history together, as they've long known one another. Their relationship is forbidden from both the brother's best friend element, as well as the teacher's assistant/student aspect.

I love their penchant for getting frisky together in public. And there are plenty of hot scenes. But it's the deeper connection they develop that I really enjoy.

Their story includes some family issues for both men, including a large focus of alcoholism and it's affects on those around the addict.

Always is a delicious forbidden relationship romance. As brother's best friend is my favorite trope, I was super excited to read this one. And it definitely didn't disappoint.

Finding the Right Forever (Sheltered Connections #2) by R.M. Neill

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

One has no time for love.
The other is desperately seeking acceptance.
Only together can their hearts be made whole.

Owen

For the last seven years, I've been married to my job because it's easier than dealing with the angst that comes with relationships. I was only looking to grow my business, now I'm stuck dealing with a baker whose sunshine and lollipop outlook proves to be a monumental pain in my butt. Friends say I need to learn to have fun, and Parker could be the one to teach me. The more time I spend with him, the more I feel they may be right. Now, I want forever, but I don’t know how to ask for it.

Parker

I was only looking for a place to start my career as a baker. Somehow, I ended up with a boss who is as hot as he is grumpy. I should be focusing on my baking, and build security based on my own success. Instead, Owen is fast becoming my sole focus. My longing for acceptance, to heal the scars from an abusive past, have led me to an impossible choice. Do I pursue my dream job... or dream man?

Finding the Right Forever is the second book in the Sheltered Connections Series. This book involves themes of hurt/comfort, grumpy/sunshine, and a spandex elf suit. Laugh-out-loud humor, spur of the moment kitchen sex and two men too stubborn to see what's in front of them make up this 72k word story. Ridiculously horrible singing is included.

My Rating -5  Stars!

Finding the Right Forever is a fabulous romance. It's the second book in the Sheltered Connections series by RM Neill and is easily read as a standalone.

These are two men who desperately need each other. But they are men who meet at a time when forever isn't in the cards. Dreams are in their way.

Owen helps Parker come to life and find the joy in living. Meanwhile, Parker helps Owen find someone who loves him and supports him.

I love this story. It's sweet, hot, and tender. It's a great hurt/comfort read with the most wonderful cat ever.

Finding the Right Forever is a great romance. I highly recommend this RM Neill book when you're in the mood for a nice second chance relationship.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - MF - The Score Keeper (Boston Hawks Hockey #9) by Gina Azzi

Release Date: March 3

Boston Hawks owner Scott Reland is my father’s biggest rival and the last man who should catch my eye. But when he does, I don’t look away.

We’ve circled each other for years, two outliers in a small club of NHL owners. We know the rules, manage similar pressures, and understand that this lifestyle — hockey over everything — isn’t for everyone.

Which is why I want out.

To prove to my father that I have a future beyond the New York Sharks, I score one for me and open a bakery in Boston, the city that reveres Scott.

It isn’t long until the dynamic and perceptive Hawk pursues me. And I’m entirely unprepared to be swept off my feet, cared for and supported after so many years on my own. Scott easily draws me back into the hockey life I thought I didn’t want.

But can our relationship survive the demands of this industry? Or will I always be keeping score, second to the game that dictates everything?

My Rating - 5  Stars!

The Score Keeper is the ninth book in the Boston Hawks Hockey series by Gina Azzi. This is easily read as a standalone. And Wow! I love this book.

Scott and Noelle's tale is a forbidden romance, as Noelle's father is Scott's rival.

This story is full of tension between Noelle and her father. Not only does he not want her with Scott, she also has to deal with his expectations.

Noelle owns a bakery and loves her job. But her dad wants her to take over his team someday. His treatment of her is awful and I was constantly feeling bad for her.

This is a fabulous read. It's hot, steamy, and has plenty of underlying angst.

I love the Boston Hawks players and their wives. This whole series is a must read for fans of sports romances.

The Score Keeper is a riveting and compelling romance. I love every minute of this sports romance and couldn't put it down.
