Forever Perfect is a great brother's best friend romance by Alison G Bailey. This is the fourth book in the Perfect series and is easily read as a standalone. 

I can never resist a brother's best friend romance. And this is my favorite kind, as Halle and Brandon have known each other growing up. They were even good friends...until they weren't.

Their story is told with time jumps, as we get to see the past and the present. And the present starts with Brandon hating Halle, creating a nice enemies to lovers storyline. And damn, their story is full of pain and obstacles, but their love is well worth the journey.

The writing is great, with an intriguing storyline and two interesting characters. The story is fast paced, with everything flowing nicely. There are definitely some tough subject matters, so be warned. 

Overall, Forever Perfect is a great read. I love this Alison G Bailey book, as it's full of all the feels. I definitely recommend it the next time you're in the mood for a brother's best friend romance.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Two Different Sides is a great addition to the Consistently Inconsistent series. I love One More Motion, the first book in this LA Tavares series, so I was excited to read this. 

This is definitely more of a novel that follows Blake and his journey that happens to include a romance. Yes, the story revolves around his relationship with the girl he loves, but the emotions for the romance aren't felt much. Rather, Blake's emotional state in general is the overriding tone throughout. I was always more worried about him in general than I was about his romance. 

I definitely love the connection between the band members. That is the real connection felt throughout. The reader is easily rooting for Blake to find his way in the world again, and for his friendships to stay intact.

This is a story of addiction. It that's a trigger for you, avoid this one. For Blake, his addiction is gambling. And his journey is maddening and so frustrating. 

In the end, the storyline comes full circle in ways I never expected, with some nice twists and turns. 
And by the end, everything is heart warming. 

I was extremely impressed with the author's way of bringing everything to a happy ending. These peopl seemed destined for a life of pain, but the author easily brings them to a happy ending in a believable way. 

Two Different Sides ends up being a deep read. I enjoyed all of this LA Tavares book and highly recommend it when you're in the mood for a serious tale.

Winning With Him is an awesome sports romance by Lauren Blakely. This one had me addicted from the start and I couldn't put it down. 

Declan and Grant are two pro baseball players who start to fall in love. They agree to do long distance, but that doesn't last too long. And damn, cue the emotional turmoil. I was all in already. 

So many emotions!

This is a story of fear and doubts. It's a story of two men who spent the years thinking about one another, but have to suffer through the ups and downs. 

The men are at different points in their careers. With a MLB career, it's hard to make time for a long distance, sort of closeted relationship. And the storyline brings out all the feels. 

One awesome surprise for me with this read is that the men aren't closeted. It's refreshing to read about pro athletes being out. 

Both men are complex, with complex lives and complex upbringings. Their lives include an alcoholic father and everything involved with this. Their lives include knowing you were never wanted by your parents. Both leaves one with a whole lot of baggage.  

And damn, it's super steamy. Love the chemistry between these two!

Winning With Him is a fun read. If you enjoy sports romances, be sure to check out this Lauren Blakeley gem. You won't regret it!

Love Never Forgets is a romance many years in the making. My first time reading Tristen Rowen, I am extremely pleased with this gut wrenching tale of first love, second chances, and heartbreak.

The story starts with a summer spent together at camp. Scott and Terry instantly connect and quickly fall in love. It's all about sneaking around and getting naked. 

But then...they are forced apart by a controlling, homophobia father.  

Many years later, the two easily fall back into a strong connection when they meet up again. And a beautiful love story is continued. 

If you enjoy romances that span the years, following a couple from when they meet until their older years, you will love this book. 

But... 

And it's a big but, you will cry. Bring all the tissues along when you get to the second part of this book. You will need them.

This is a love story, but it's not a romance with a happily ever after. 

This couple is what everyone wants in life. Their love is never in doubt (to the reader) and the strength of their bond is inspirational. 

But they know pain and suffering in a way that is heartbreaking and completely realistic. All of it's written with knowledge and care, fully bringing the emotions of both to life. 

The author's writing style is fabulous, easy to follow, and perfectly captures the important details of the years. Although there are many time jumps, and the story isn't overly long, nothing ever feels like it is missing. 

Love Never Forgets is one of those special stories that will suck you in and leave you fully consumed throughout. I am extremely pleased with this Tristen Rowen book and am thrilled that I was able to discover it. This is one of those memorable stories that will stay in my heart for a long time.

This book! Oh my god, this book! You're My Home is a debut novel for Katie Moore. And it's mesmerizing, riveting, and all consuming.

This book is long. No question about it. It is detailed, complex, and covers many years. Set plenty of time aside to read this.

This book is serious. Extremely serious. It touches on abuse, family issues, bullying, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, and a connection between two people unlike anything I've ever seen before. It thoroughly explores one's need to define their sexuality, and the elements of demi-sexuality.

This story is that of Brady and Zach, two boys who are worlds apart. But the connection between them is absolute. The first time Brady meets Zach, he knows he is there to help save him. From his father. From the bullies. From the ugliness of the world. And fortunately for Zach, Brady's family feels the same way.

I don't want to go into any details. It's best to just discover them as you read. But the story is amazingly beautiful and touching.

And it's as emotional as can be. Every single moment of this book, every single sentence, is weighed down with emotion. The emotions jump off the pages throughout.

It's a long, ugly, emotional journey for these two. But this is a romance, so ultimately it's no surprise that they eventually get together. I think it's fair to say this isn't a spoiler.

And when they do, oh my god. Seriously, I just can't even begin to explain how torturously emotional the sex scenes are. I thought the emotions carried this story before. But gah! The sex scenes. I've never read anything so full of emotion before.

Just read it.

Their journey starts as kids, carries them through the teen years, and ultimately looks at their futures. It's long. It's detailed. It could easily be a three part series. But it's pure perfection read all together.

You're My Home is absolutely addicting. From the first page, Katie Moore held me hostage with her words. This isn't like my typical review because this isn't a typical book. Zach and Brady grabbed my heart from the very first page and I lived and breathed every single moment of their journey with them. It's a spectacular book.

“I want to talk to you.” Dad walks down the hallway to his office, knowing I’ll follow him. I lean against the doorframe, staying just far enough out that Zach will know where I am if he comes back into the kitchen.

Dad sits on the edge of his desk, facing me. “Who were the kids that were being mean?”

“Derek Sanders, the one I asked to leave here when he called Zach a stalker. Along with a few of JV freshman players that I don’t know well.”

“Not surprising, he seemed like a dick.”

My dad doesn’t usually call someone a dick, and it catches me so off guard that an abrupt laugh escapes from my chest.

“What were they making fun of him about?”

“His size…being a fourth-grader…a hobbit. Then they called him queer, and he got up and left.”

“No wonder he was so upset.” Dad rubs the back of his neck, and I realize that I have that same habit when I’m stressed.

“He was upset because he thought it would embarrass me. He never wants to hurt anyone, and when he thinks he’s the cause of it, he can’t handle it.”

“That’s why it makes me livid that someone would hurt him, even with words. God knows the kid has been through enough already.”

I catch movement out of the corner of my eye and turn to see Zach in the kitchen, looking lost. I wave my arm so he sees me, and he smiles. I watch him walk over to help Mom with the ice cream before looking back at Dad.

“He trusts you, Brady. The kind of trust that most people will never give. Be sure to treasure that and not do anything to break it. I’m not sure you could get it back if you did.”

Dad’s words feel heavy, like I need to memorize them and keep them close. “I wouldn’t do anything to break his trust.”

“I know you never would intentionally, but you’re young, and teenagers do stupid things. I think you’re mature beyond your years, and I am so proud of the young man you’re becoming. I’m only cautioning you because I see the bond you have with Zach, and I’m not sure you truly understand what it would mean to lose that. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime kind of friendship…love…and so many go through life searching for what you’ve found so young. Many never find it.”

He walks over to put his hand on my shoulder, squeezing gently. “All I’m saying, Son, is that when it comes to Zach, think before you react and don’t take all the love and trust he gives you for granted. Someday you’ll truly understand the depth and beauty of what he gives you. And what you give him.” His hand moves down over my heart. “You’ve given him a lot of space in here.
