My Rating - 5 Stars!

Deeds & Confetti, the fourth book in Brandon Witt's Mary's Boys series, is one hell of a read.

Where do I start? There's a funeral, a long lost crush, and a quick hookup. It has intense need and want.

Topher and Steven make for a fantastic couple. Topher is the best friend of Steven's nephew. Ohh...Cue the fun.

Steven is the owner of Mary's. He has self esteem issues and a whole hell of a lot of insecurities. We've met him in the previous St Mary's books, as a background player. Now he's the star. And he has one hell of a story.

This is a story with father issues and family issues. It's a story with an age gap that's almost May to December. All of this, along with the nephew's best friend aspect combine to make a tear-jerking story.

The writing is great, with some hot moments and plenty of humor. I can't applaud the author enough for the way he brings this series full circle, and ties it all together in the end.

Overall, Deeds & Confetti wraps up a beautiful series. And wraps it up is the perfect description. The ending is definitely about the series, not just this couple. Seriously, the ending had me crying, smiling, and crying some more. I definitely wasn't expecting it, and I loved it.

Royally Screwed by Lynn Van Dorn

Take one betrothal gone awry…

Prince Angelo is destined to marry Prince Yuri. Never mind that Angelo isn’t gay and didn’t choose to be saddled with a moony-eyed princeling who is determined to ruin Angelo’s life. Then one day Yuri goes too far and Angelo has to take matters into his own hands.

Add one doomed arranged marriage…

Prince Yuri is destined forever to pine after Prince Angelo. Arranged marriages are archaic and awful enough without being stuck for life with someone you want who will never, ever in a million years want you back. Still, for someone who claims to want nothing to do with Yuri, Angelo is surprisingly possessive.

And you just might get one unexpected romance.

Two men, thrown together by fate and scheming parents, shouldn’t have a prayer of finding a happy ever after. But fate can be fickle, and love can exist where you never thought it could.

Royally Screwed is a 75,000-word M/M novel featuring royalty, a poorly-thought-out betrothal, one prince in need of a firm hand, a second prince who isn’t as straight as he always thought, drunken texting, bickering, practice kissing, odious British nobility, and falling in love despite all the reasons why you shouldn’t.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Lynn Van Dorn's Royally Screwed is everything I want in a royal romance. This book is amazing!

Angelo and Yuri were betrothed to one another in utero. Theirs was to be a marriage in name only, but Yuri wants a real marriage. With Angelo.

Yuri's attracted to the handsome Angelo, but Angelo has always dated girls. Until one word changes everything. "Sir."

What follows is one hell of a hot read, with spankings and thongs. It's a story with betrayal, lies, and scandals, along with some great twists and turns. This royal world is filled with some far fetched villains and mischief that keep things interesting.

This is a gay for you tale with sexual exploration, sexual awakening, and the act of coming out. As for Angelo and Yuri together, they make for a unique duo. One certainly wouldn't expect them to fall in love, but it works and it's pure sweet and steam combined.

The writing is fabulous, with two wonderfully intriguing characters and one heck of an entertaining storyline. The author adds in a lot of banter and humor to keep things fun, along with some light angst. It's a perfectly lovable read.

Royally Screwed is a delicious GFY read. You can't go wrong with this Lynn Van Dorn tale that's fun, flirty, and has plenty of sex.

Love Me, Daddy by Elouise East

Will their pasts stop them from striving for a future?

Being homeless makes finding a safe Daddy experience difficult, which is confirmed when Nathan is almost knocked out after calling out the word during a liaison. When Loren steps in to aid him, Nathan is ready to let the strong man take charge. But he won’t ask for what he really needs, not when the reaction could be so extreme.

With many failed relationships in his past, Loren yearns for the perfect boy to cherish, but it’s a fantasy in more ways than one as far as he can tell. Nathan’s vulnerability calls to his protective instincts, but he refuses to cross the line. And then he finds Nathan’s need of him is very real.
When Loren assumes control, it centres them both but as they explore their way through this new dynamic, Nathan needs to learn if he’s going to be Daddy’s good boy or Daddy’s little brat.

This is a 30,000 words sweet Daddy/boy romance

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Elouise East's Love Me, Daddy is a quick, yummy Daddy romance.

Loren and Nathan are two men who each have their fair share of struggles. Loren saves Nathan from the streets, but neither man can admit what they want.

This story is loaded with attraction, want, and need. Damn it's hot! The connection is quick, strong, and exactly what they both need. I love, love, love the natural manner in which they connect and find what they want. And, fuck, it's hot!

Both characters are interesting. Nathan's life on the streets is fully illustrated, making him a sympathetic character from the start. By helping Nathan, Loren manages to find the boy he's always wanted. They complement one another perfectly.

Written in alternating point of view, the readers are able to understand both men. This is definitely the only way to make this story work so well.

Love Me, Daddy is a delightful feel-good read. With just 92 pages, I am hoping we get more of these two in our future. Since a lot is glossed over, this edition is a fluffy-ish read. And it's awesome!

A strict Daddy. A sassy neighbour. Can opposites attract?

After taking early retirement, Liam is happy avoiding people and tending to his roses. Or he was, until young film star Felix moves in next door.

With his cheeky, persistent, and very naughty behaviour, Felix gets under Liam’s skin instantly.

Felix needs Liam to teach him how to behave, but will calling the older man Daddy be enough to bring sunshine into Liam’s life?

A boy Made of Sunshine is a standalone gay romance, with mild D/s play, Daddy kink, a cute Dalmatian puppy, a ridiculous glow in the dark toy, and lots of brattish behaviour.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Colette Davison's A Boy Made of Sunshine is a fantastic BDSM book.

This is a neighbors romance between the young actor Felix and the grumpy, older bear Liam. Felix is an actor taking a much needed break from work. He and his hot neighbor come together naturally. They are super hot as Liam teaches Felix patience.

Holy hotness! BDSM, exhibitionism, voyeurism, spanking, spreader bars, Daddy play. It is steamy and awesome!

And then there's the roses, which have a tender part in this story. And one can't help but to love the dog.

Told in alternating third person, the reader is brought into the characters' emotions and feelings throughout.

I love the author's writing style. The characters are charming, their storyline is entertaining, and there's plenty of fun humor sprinkled throughout. As well, I appreciate the setting of the British countryside.

I absolutely love A Boy Made of Sunshine and I enjoy every second of their journey. Felix's decisions are wonderfully handled and of course, I love the result. This Colette Davison read is definitely worth a read next time you're looking for a sexy romance.

When a removal van finally arrived in the first week of summer, Liam’s hopes that his quiet existence would continue undisturbed were dashed.

He’d never regarded himself as a curtain twitcher before, but he found himself peering out of his bedroom window as three burly men unloaded the large van. The furniture didn’t scream ‘quiet retired couple’ to him. It was too modern, too loud. Who on earth owned a bright purple sofa, for crying out loud? The bed was even worse. It was a huge monstrosity, easily king-sized, and Liam couldn’t help but feel sorry for the men carrying it into the house. The bed frame was black, probably made of leather, judging by the way the sunlight made the fabric shine, with a massive surround, part of which looked like some kind of lounge chair. Did it even have a built-in speaker? Who needed a built-in speaker in their bed?

His jaw dropped a little more at every item of furniture that was brought into the house. The coffee table looked like it doubled as an aquarium, although thankfully there were no fish in it. There was a bookcase in the shape of a dog, a dining table with what looked like a solid marble top, overstuffed dining chairs, a pool table, and even a bar!

The painting was the last straw.

The canvas and frame combined must have been six feet tall, making the man that had been painted upon it almost life size. Not only was he nude, but he was grasping his cock, his head tilted back slightly, eyes closed, making it obvious that he was in the midst of pleasuring himself. Liam had never been so glad to have no other neighbours. The painting was glorious—he had to adjust himself to make his aching cock more comfortable in his pants—but why in God’s name hadn’t it been covered up? Clearly, his new neighbour had no decorum whatsoever.

Colette’s personal love story began at university, where she met her future husband. An evening of flirting, in the shadow of Lancaster castle, eventually led to a fairytale wedding. She’s enjoying her own ‘happy ever after’ in the north of England with her husband, two beautiful children and her writing.

Book 1: Up for Heir

By Stella Starling

A playboy heir needs: a man to marry, right now.

After spending half his life dodging his duty to the crown, the rebel heir to the Rosavian throne has been told in no uncertain terms that it’s time to settle down. Crown Prince Leopold has one month and a vetted list of suitable princesses, and he will announce his engagement during Rosavia’s Royal Ball. But Leo’s got his own ideas about what really suits him…

Royal Librarian Edvin Blom is good at not attracting attention. Shy and self-conscious of his stutter, he’s used to being overlooked and more than happy to stay in the background. At least, until the crown prince with a wild reputation shows up at the library’s new opening and decides to flirt with Edvin’s sister…

Edvin isn’t at all what Leo thought he wanted, but turns out to be everything he can’t stay away from. Edvin’s been burned by falling for someone out of his league before, though. And believing that Leo has really fallen for him? While Edvin’s drowning in his own doubts and insecurities, that might prove impossible… unless love gives them both a reason to come up for air.

My Rating - 3.5 Stars!

It took me a long time to get into Stella Starling's Up For Heir. The first book in the multi-author Rosavia Royals series, I was excited to read this, but it gets off to a slow start, making it tough to become interested.

Leo's a Prince who has no interest in getting married, but his family has other plans for him. Enter Edvin, who's a common man raising his siblings. Leo's instantly intrigued with Edvin, finding himself doing things he'd normally not do, just to be with the librarian.

Their story is one with rules, rules, and more rules. The men are great together, but definitely aren't supposed to be together.

Written in alternating pov 3rd person, the readers get an insight into both men, including the reasons behind their actions. It's slow going, but the storyline is beautiful in the end.

Overall, Up For Heir is a decent royalty romance. This Stella Starling book is a sweet story between a prince and his nerdy love interest.

Exclusive from Stella & the Inspirations behind her Prince:

Up for Heir by Stella Starling

How did you become a part of this project/world?

I’ve been friends with Ed and Helen for a while now and love them to absolute pieces! I’m not normally one for group projects, but they knocked it out of the park when it came to shared-world building with their Men of Hidden Creek series, and more than that, they are truly some of the loveliest human beings I know, so when they asked if I was interested, I said yes… and I’m so glad I did! It’s been a total blast to create this world with both of them, Max, and Zoe. I’m pretty sure that Rosavia has become “real” to all of us over the last couple of months, and my only regret is that we’ll never be able to visit it in person. *sob*

Where did your story’s inspiration come from?

The title and cover were already set when I joined Rosavia, and the other authors had already worked out some general ideas about the royal family, including the fact that my prince would be the oldest and the heir… and that he’d be none too happy about his responsibilities in that regard.

I absolutely LOVE starting with “limits” or pre-existing parameters on a story. It almost reminds me of a creative writing drill. Having to make a story fit certain cues pushes my creativity and gives me a chance to ask myself, “but why would he…?”

For this one, I knew based on the world building that the group had already done that the heir would need to marry, and he’d need to do it fast—by the Royal Ball where each of the five concurrent storylines culminates—and that he would start out not very happy about those facts- LOL! So given that he was one to dodge responsibility and rebel against his duties whenever possible, I wanted him to meet a man who was his opposite. Who embraced responsibility and could inspire Leo to do the same with his. And I also just adore shy nerdy-boy characters, so once I knew I was going to do an opposites-attract story, I just let my imagination loose on it, came up with Eddie—my sweet, selfless, stuttering little librarian—and let his Cinderella story unfold as I wrote it.

How did you create your Prince?

I generally find that I get to know my characters best once I’m a few chapters in, and this was definitely true with Leo. While I knew some basic parameters about him from the pre-existing world building already in place when I joined the project, I really only started to figure out what made him tick once I dove into the writing.

I started Leo’s first chapter with a conversation between him and his valet, and as that relationship unfolded throughout the book—along with Leo’s relationship with Treble, the cat who adopted him—I realized that he was someone who didn’t know how to show his feelings, and was, in fact, often in a bit of denial of them. But then I got to ask myself “why?” …well, I already knew that he’d rebelled against the responsibilities of being the heir, and I figured that a great reason for that was that it had emotionally distanced him from the people who loved him. And voila! Now I had a man in need of love who wouldn’t recognize it when he gets it. Perfect—*grin*—because I absolutely adore writing clueless men who are actually head-over-heels for their love interests but somehow remain oblivious to that fact even though it’s crystal clear to everyone else—LOL! And that, combined with Leo’s shy little librarian’s assumption that the prince was out of his league, made for a whole cascade of fun, sweet moments as their love story unfolded and they each finally started to believe in the other.

Matty has no idea that Cas is second in line to the throne. And with only two weeks together to explore the sparks between them, he doesn’t need to ever find out.

New Yorker Matty Doyle is a fish out of water, taking care of his niece and mending his broken heart. When Cas rescues him, the handsome stranger coaxes Matty out of his shell and he throws caution to the wind. Nobody knows him here. Would it hurt to live a little for once?

A pining prince needs: a second chance at love.

Prince Julius has only ever wanted one man. Raised alongside Prince Dante of Thedes, the two were inseparable until their unspoken mutual attraction ignited into a single passionate encounter. Convinced that it ruined their friendship, Julius retreated to his duties in Rosavia, where he daydreams of another chance to win Dante’s heart.

After four years apart, fate brings Prince Julius back to Thedes. He offers Dante a coveted invitation: return to the Rosavian palace for ten days, and be his plus-one to the Royal Ball of the century. Before long, they realize one night of passion wasn’t enough, and they can’t imagine losing each other again.

As the clock ticks down to the ball, Julius catches wind of Dante’s family meddling, and he must decide if their feelings are real or if they’ve both been played. Were they always meant for each other, or is it all an illusion that will melt away at midnight?

Book 4: In His Court By Max Rowan

A spy prince needs: a man who sees through his disguise.

Prince Benedict is not what he seems. His image as a lazy playboy is carefully constructed to hide the truth. Trained since childhood to become Rosavia's top spy, he spends his life in disguise—and danger—to protect his country. Nobody sees the loneliness in his heart.

Felix Wright is a genius with four degrees, no real-world experience, and a top-secret job... and he's never even been kissed. A lifetime of being alienated for his most valuable assets has left him reluctant to trust the charming prince who thrusts him into fieldwork for the very first time.

When the Crown Jewels are stolen two weeks before the royal ball, it's their job to save the country's reputation. Benedict helps Felix believe in himself, while Felix slowly coaxes the real prince out of hiding. But can they find the jewels and rescue the most priceless treasures of all: each other?

Book 5: Barely Regal By E. Davies

A bratty boy prince needs: a firm but fair Daddy.

Prince Renford is a royal brat. Nineteen and last in line for the throne, Wren hates his made-up job: Commander of Roses. Good thing his long-time valet has a firm hand—if only Wren could tempt him to break all palace protocol and use it.

Thom Pierce is sixteen years older. Old enough to know he should ignore his prince's less-than-subtle flirtation. He's been burned by a higher-ranked boy before. His job and reputation are at stake if the palace catches a scandal unfolding under their noses.

Wren needs the part of Thom that he's kept locked away for years. If the young prince wants to be taken as seriously as his older brothers, he has to grow up fast. Thom's rules could help Wren become the man Thom knows he can be in time for the Royal Ball... or they could attract the very attention that forces them apart forever.

RELEASE BLITZ, EXCERPT & REVIEW - Pieces of Me (Missing Pieces #2) by NR Walker

Title: Pieces of Me
Author: NR Walker

Genre: MM Romance
Release date: June 26, 2020

Missing Pieces Series, Book Two
Justin’s recovery is slow, but any step forward is a win in Dallas’ eyes. Having always been a source of strength for Justin, even before the accident, Dallas is trying to find his feet again as he struggles to get some normalcy back in their lives.
But now, with added financial pressures and Justin’s ongoing medical needs, Dallas isn’t sure how much longer he can be the strong one.
As missing pieces of Justin’s memory return, Justin realises the physical side of their relationship is another piece of the puzzle he desperately wants to put back together. And as he gets to know Dallas all over again, he realises what his mind can’t remember, his heart can’t forget.

My Rating - 5+ Stars!

Pieces of Me is an extraordinary follow up to Pieces of You. This NR Walker series is brilliant. This book had my heart in it's clutches throughout.
We fell in love with Justin and Dallas in the first book, with their exquisite story. Now, Justin's still comfortable with Dallas, knowing he makes him feel safe, but still lacks the memories.

Everything about this story is spectacular. The men are amazing together; two men who clearly belong together. There love is so strong that it surpasses their memories. There isn't a complex plot in this book, just the two men trying to deal with their circumstances. And it's stunning.

The writing is stellar, with these two lovable characters and their complex journey. The author uses the strength of love as the key to this relationship, carrying these men through their tragedy. It is remarkably carried out and will forever have a special place in my heart.

NR Walker is impressive in this powerful tale of love that last through any obstacle.  This remarkable journey of Justin and Dallas is a must read. Do yourself a favor and read Pieces of Youfollowed by Pieces of MeYou won't regret it!

“Did you say accounts?” Justin asked, nodding toward where I’d stacked the papers on top of my laptop.
I wasn’t gonna tell him about my money worries, but I didn’t want to hide this from him. Maybe just not the extent of it. It was a fine line. “Yeah. I just have a few things to get done tonight. I’ll need to be working in the shop with the boys this week and not in the office, so if I can keep on top of the paperwork . . .”
“Is that because I’m not there?” he asked. “Do you have to do my job?”
Shit. I withheld the sigh that threatened to escape and put my fork down. “Not exactly. I mean, yes, a little bit. But it’s nothing we can’t handle until you’re ready to come back.”
His brow furrowed and I gave him time to think about what I’d said. He ate some more of his pasta but then pushed what was left around his plate with his fork. “Do Davo and Sparra have to do my work too?”
Shit.
I didn’t want him to feel bad, but I also wouldn’t lie to him. “The three of us are filling in the gaps. When I was at the hospital every day, Davo and Sparra did everything. They really covered my arse. So now we’re home, I’m trying to do as much as I can to help them out. We have an important contract coming up, one we do every year, and it’s good money. I can’t drop the ball on it.”
“I don’t like letting you down,” he whispered.
I reached over and squeezed his arm. “You’re not. At all. In any way. You’re my priority, first and foremost, Jussy. But my business is important too. Davo and Sparra depend on me for a job and I don’t want to let them down. I just need to get the balance right, that’s all. So if I have to do some work on the computer while we sit on the couch after dinner, then so be it.”
He tried to smile but couldn’t quite manage it. “My accident . . .”
When he said nothing else, I did. “Your accident was not your fault. It wasn’t anyone’s fault. And we’ll get through this, I have no doubt. I just want to try and do the right thing by everyone, that’s all.”
“I want to help. I can do . . .” He frowned again, like he couldn’t find the right word. He shrugged. “I don’t know what I can do.”
“You can get better, and you can rest and recover,” I said. “And you can make an awesome spaghetti.”
That earned me a small smile, but it didn’t last long. “I hate that everything is so hard. I want to do things but I’m tired, and my leg and my arm are stupid, and my head hurts most of the time. And the worst part is that I can’t think properly. Like sometimes it’s clear, and sometimes it’s foggy, sometimes it’s like I’m underwater. I hate that I can’t remember everything, and I hate that I feel so lost.”
“Lost?”
He gave a small nod. “I dunno who I am. I mean, I know I’m Justin, and I know where I come from, and all that shit. But I dunno who I was. The last five years were so important and I’ve lost that. I dunno who that Justin is.”
I pulled my chair around so I faced him, and I took his hand. “Baby, I wish I could fix that. I wish I knew how to get everything back. I hate that you feel that way, but I completely understand why you do. I’m sure I’d feel the same if it were me in that van that day.”
“I just feel . . . lost. And sad.” He shrugged. “I guess today’s just a bad day, but I . . .” His chin wobbled and his eyes became glassy. “I dunno.”
“Oh, baby,” I whispered. “You’re allowed to have bad days.” To be honest, I was surprised he hadn’t had more bad days before now. “Do you want a hug?”
He nodded quickly, and I stood up and helped him to his feet. I pulled him against me and he snuggled in, fitting the side of his head against my neck. I rubbed his back and held him tight, and for the longest moment, we never moved.
“Thank you,” he mumbled.
“What are you thanking me for?”
“For everything. For knowing what I need when I don’t.”
He made no attempt to move and I certainly wasn’t going to. “I need your hugs too.”
“I mean it. When I’m all fuzzy and . . . not together . . .  I can’t think of the word. Anyway, when I’m like that, you hug me and it fixes me.”
“Well, you’re welcome. You can have a hug any time.”
He was quiet again for a bit and he leaned heavily against me as though he were falling asleep. “Thank you for staying.”
“Staying where?” In this hug?
“With me. For not leaving me. You could have, but you didn’t.”
I pulled back then so he could see the seriousness in my eyes. “Justin, baby. I love you. I’ve loved you for years. You are loved. And I know that’s probably weird for you, but I need you to know this: I’m not leaving you. Not then, not now, not ever.”
His face softened and he almost smiled. “It’s not weird. Well, maybe a little bit but not really. We’ve been on like, one date.”
I laughed. “Does tonight not count? You cooked me dinner. It could be our second date.”
“Nope. I forgot the candles.”
I chuckled and pulled him back in for a hug. His left arm went around me and held me just as tight as I held him. He was warm and smelled like home. “Candles make it a date,” I said quietly. “Got it.”
He was quiet again and heavy against me. “I like hearing you say it,” he mumbled. “That you love me. I know you do. You look after me, and you care.”
He liked knowing he was loved, and I couldn’t blame him. It was an amazing feeling, comforting like a soft bed and warm blankets on a cold night. I knew he loved me too. I knew he did. It was just trapped, hidden under the surface. He’d already remembered slivers of me from our life before the accident. He said my wing tattoos felt safe, like home. And he trusted me, and for a guy who was surrounded by strangers, that was a helluva statement.
His heart knew me, even if his head didn’t.
And I clung to that with everything I had.
