Fresh Start (Orchard Ridge Omegas #3) by Braylon Black

Blurb

Elias Baker has nowhere to turn. On the run from his abusive ex, the twenty year old omega is hungry, homeless, penniless… and pregnant. But hitching rides from strangers and sleeping outdoors every night is a vast improvement over spending one more minute with the monster ex who stole away his dignity and self-worth. When a handsome small town sheriff catches Elias trespassing, the older alpha offers him help instead of handcuffs, and a chance to get back on his feet.

Sheriff Jaxon Hughes is well-loved by the residents of Orchard Ridge. The tall, sandy haired alpha is kind, diplomatic, and forgiving with the community he serves. But his dry sense of humor and folksy charm mask a painful past and a deep loneliness. After wasting half his life trapped in a sham marriage, newly divorced Jaxon isn’t sure where to go from here, or even what he wants out of life. Plus, he’s bored to death policing this dully peaceful town, where nothing exciting ever seems to happen.

When Jaxon casts his eyes on the frightened, vulnerable Elias, Jaxon’s big heart compels him to help the young omega in whatever way he can. At first glance, Jaxon and Elias seem to have little in common, but their effortless chemistry and easy-going rapport soon leads to a deep, affectionate bond. Both are wounded, and both find their salvation in each other— but as their friendship grows, so does their undeniable, powerful attraction.

Being with Elias gives Jaxon clarity, stability, and purpose for the first time in his life. Elias feels he may have found the alpha of his dreams— the one man who truly loves and accepts him for who he is. But Elias’s baby bump is growing bigger, and soon he’ll no longer be able to hide the truth. He’s terrified to break the news to Jaxon. After all, what alpha wants to raise another man’s baby?
Fully preoccupied with their new romance, neither Jaxon nor Elias realize that a predator lurks in the shadows, ready and waiting for the perfect moment to strike, putting not only their relationship at dire risk— but also their lives.
Warning: While this book isn't super dark, it does contain some potentially triggering scenes of gun violence, attempted sexual assault, and references to domestic abuse.

Braylon Black's Fresh Start is a fun Omegaverse romance.

Elias and Jaxon meet when Jax takes in the homeless omega, starting a wonderful romance.

I love the age difference, and Jaxon's intense need to care for this omega. His desire to protect and help Elias is natural and absolute.

The writing is good, with a great pace and two fantastic main characters.

This romance is a story of doubts, fears, self-loathing, and regrets. It's a story of self-healing and self-forgiveness. Unfortunately for Elias, it's also a story of abuse. Elias' background is tragic and horrific. It's tough to read, but well done. I found it to be beautiful and tender.

Fresh Start
is
touching story of finding love and a wonderful future after enduring abuse and despair. Braylon Black has definitely entertained me with this cute story.

Omega in the Middle (Triple Heat #1) by Braylon Black

Blurb

Charlie Cox is a strong, independent omega who doesn’t need an alpha. Until he falls in love with two of them.

All straight-A college student Charlie Cox wants is a quiet place to study and rest his head, away from the obnoxious partying and drunken debauchery of his dorms. But moving in with two hot, hunky alphas proves to be an order of magnitude more distracting than he ever anticipated.

Gavin Grey and Luca Burnett are best friends and roomies, but the driven, hard-working alphas are more than that, too: they’re secret lovers, with plans to eventually add a third—an omega to share between them. But that’s not their main priority. For now, they’re far too busy racing against the clock to buy back Gavin’s childhood home from a developer before the house is demolished.

All they want out of Charlie Cox is a responsible roommate, but the strength of their desire for the young omega proves too powerful to resist, and they just can’t keep their hands off of him. Soon, all three find themselves wrestling with unintended consequences that threaten everything they’ve been working so hard to achieve.

Omega in the Middle is a 65k standalone, non-shifter MMM mpreg romance and book one of the Triple Heat series. This is a light, fun, zero-angst story with LOTS of steam, no cheating, and a heart-warming HEA.

A Non-Shifter MMM Mpreg Romance.

Omega in the Middle is a fun, hot menage romance by Braylon Black.

When Charlie moves into a new apartment, he never expects to find love. Gavin and Luca are best friends who are hiding their real relationship. As two alphas, they aren't able to let people know that they love each other. And I must say that Damn, the two alphas are hot together! How can they not be? Two sexy, intense, and aggressive alphas. Oh hell yes!

I was immediately intrigued by this roommate romance. The tone was great and the characters were interesting. The secret romance between the two alphas is phenomenal.

One fantastic scene is when Charlie shows up at the apartment unexpectedly.

As the book continued however, I found myself a little disappointed. There's nothing that I didn't like, I was just hoping for more; more emotion, angst, and/or depth.

Overall, Omega in the Middle is a fun and sweet romance.

Sweet Promise (Orchard Ridge Omegas #4) by Braylon Black

Blurb

The relationship’s only for the sake of the baby. That’s what they keep telling themselves...

An omega chasing love with rose-colored glasses—

Dangerous crime rarely happens in Orchard Ridge, but deputy sheriff Finn Johnson struggles to move on from one of the few times it did. On top of his anxiety from a near-death experience, Finn’s latest breakup has made him doubt he’s any better at settling down than he is at protecting his hometown. Reading romance novels over lunch breaks probably hasn’t helped to ground his expectations, either.

That’s why it’s ironic that his next speeding ticket recipient is none other than Vaughn, his childhood friend with whom he made a pact to have kids once they hit thirty. One drunken decision leads to another, and when Finn gets pregnant, suddenly their half-serious rom-com pact becomes The Plan.

But Finn wants more from Vaughn than just a roommate and a kid together. Can he bet his heart—and their future child—on a marriage of convenience when he wants the fairy tale ending?

An alpha with impossibly high standards—

By almost any standard, Vaughn Palmer was headed for success in college. However, his fierce competitive streak with his twin brother has only highlighted his failures in his own mind. Falling short has become a self-fulfilling prophecy, and he’s frustrated that his business ventures, and his love life, haven’t been more successful.

A chance encounter with long-lost pal Finn leads to a passionate one night stand and life-changing consequences. With a baby on the way, Vaughn agrees to give the whole “marriage of convenience thing” a try… until it’s not enough to satisfy either of them. Can they really stay together as friends with benefits when both of them want something more?

Sweet Promise is a standalone, non-shifter mpreg romance and the fourth book in the Orchard Ridge Omegas series.

Sweet Promise, the fourth book in Braylon Black's Orchard Ridge Omegas series, is just as the title suggests, sweet.

Vaughn returns home when he discovers his fiancé's been cheating on him.
Reuniting after years apart, these former best friends suddenly feel some intense attraction. And, after making a promise to have a friends marriage if they're both 30 and single, here they are, 30 and single.

It's downright adorable with all the sweet feels of a good friends to lovers romance. The deep connection they have has friends, with a long background, makes their relationship strong.

As well, we get all the fun of an omega pregnancy.

The writing is fast paced, leaving me entertained throughout. Both men are well written. They're likeable, and realistic with their fears and doubts.

The family dynamics of Vaughn's family gutted me. His twin is a complete ass and his father expects way too much from him. I seriously can't get over his brother's behavior.

Sweet Promise is a beautiful tale of destiny and putting the past behind you and embracing your future.

Love Song's a good Omegaverse romance by Braylon Black. The second book in the Orchard Ridge Omegas series, it's a fun story of healing, as two men with painful pasts, both find strength and healing through their developing love.

Ishmael's a small town musician who needs to find his muse. Damien's looking for a piano teacher for his young nephew whom he's suddenly raising. Soon Ishmael finds the alpha of his dreams on his doorstep and everything's about to change.

Their tale is one of insecurities, and the journey towards finding a purpose again. Both men have struggled with overwhelming loss and depression. Together, they can help one another to find life worth living again.

This tale is essentially about finding a family. It deals with the loss of family, and the power of healing when finding a family again.

I love the scenes with Peter, as he's a great kid who I just want to hug and protect. The way his uncle and Damien are able to give him strength is phenomenal.

Love Song's an intriguing romance. Braylon Black excels with describing the heat, tension, and chemistry, as Ishmael and Damien have overwhelming want and need for each other. If you like hot sex, you'll be pleased as the sex scenes are hot and intense. Overall, it's an enjoyable and steamy romance.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Braylon Black's Whole Again is the first book in the new Orchard Ridge Omegas series, a non-shifter mpreg series. It's a good second chance romance between neighbors.

Houston's reunited with his former friend, and former crush, Emmett, when he moves back home to care for his father. Ends up that Emmett also had a crush on him. Ahh... second chances!

Both men are damaged and carry a whole lot of baggage. Their issues are wonderfully developed throughout, as they've suffered loss and disappointment and are just trying to survive.

Theirs is a story of overcoming one's past, getting over one's past demons and instead using them as motivation for a better life. The details are raw and ugly at times, but the end result is beautiful. Houston's relationship with his father is not an easy read, but it's written with compassion and understanding. Emmett's pain and emotional scars will leave up wiping your eyes, as they're written with understanding and care.

This story contains some ugly words, the path to forgiveness, and the healing of relationships. There's some great tension, want and desire, along with some amazing chemistry. I love these two together.

Overall, I enjoyed Whole Again a lot. I'd definitely recommend this one to any mpreg fans.
