Drilled (Four Bears Construction #7) by K.M. Neuhold

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

A month in a remote cabin with the last man I ever expected to see again? I can’t decide if I should punch him or drill him. It might end up being both.

After more than a decade, the last person I expected to see walk into the Four Bears Construction offices as a new hire was Ridge.

He was my first crush, and my first heartbreak when he started dating my sister. When he left her at the altar without so much as a note, I wrote him off for good.

No amount of excuses and explanations can erase what he did. At least that’s what I keep telling myself. But when we end up being sent to a remote campground alone to spend a month rebuilding the cabins, it’s too easy to remember why I fell for him in the first place.

I know the guys are all taking bets on how long it takes us to start playing with each other’s tools.

It’s going to be a long month.

*** Drilled is a forced proximity, best friends-to-enemies-to-lovers, hilarious and steamy, final book in the Four Bears Construction series. It can be read as a stand alone but you won't want to miss this whole hilarious and hot series. No bear shifters, only the other kind of burly, hairy bears.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Drilled is a sweet and funny romance by KM Neuhold. The seventh book in the Four Bears Construction, it can easily be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed read in order.

Apollo and Ridge's story is heartwarming and absolutely riveting. I love these charming men and became addicted to their story from the start.

They're former best friends turned enemies, setting up a fun enemies to lovers romance. And as part of the construction team, you know there will be plenty of laughs throughout.

Poor Ridge was once engaged to Apollo's sister, but when he broke things off with her, he lost his best friend too. The poor man realized that he was gay the night before his wedding, and that he was in love with his best friend. Ouch!

Fast forward more than a decade and the two are stuck working together. Everything that follows is as good as you'd expect from this author and series.

The setting of an abandoned campground is great, with plenty of cabin and woods moments.

I absolutely love this big group of guys, and the way they set Ridge and Apollo up with a long stretch of formed proximity. The group of the Four Bears men and their significant others makes for non stop fun, banter, and antics. They definitely get each other into some HOT moments. Love it! Omg, I couldn't stop laughing at times.

Written in alternating first person pov, the author easily draws us into these men and their emotions. I'm usually uncomfortable with present tense, but KM is one of the authors who can write this way and still keep me riveted. Somehow KM writes without any awkward moments, which I find impressive.

Drilled is a perfect addition to this world of Four Bears Construction. I love every moment of this KM Neuhold story. And the ending is so good!

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - Unforgettable (Vino & Veritas #16) by Marley Valentine

UNFORGETTABLE BY MARLEY VALENTINE

Add to Goodreads → http://bit.ly/2NVHpYG

One night with Reeve Hale wasn’t enough. I knew it when I kissed him, I knew it when I slept with him, and I was certain of it when I walked out of his motel room the very next day.

So when the shy, gorgeous man is introduced as our newest employee at Vino and Veritas, I can’t help but conjure up all the ridiculous ways to convince him to repeat that unforgettable night. Like asking him to be my fake boyfriend at my sister’s upcoming wedding.

Only, I didn’t expect him to say yes.

Playing pretend shouldn’t feel this real. Especially when Reeve is planning on leaving Vermont after the summer.

We agreed to one night. We negotiated a fake relationship. But I’m the one who broke our terms. I wasn’t supposed to fall in love and he was never supposed to be so unforgettable.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Unforgettable is the sixteenth book in the multi-author Vino & Veritas series. This Marley Valentine tale is a great addition to this small town world and is easily read as a standalone.

This one starts with a hook up on a dating app. And damn, what a night for Reeve and Oz!

When they are reunited at work, their attraction is still there. I just love the connection between the two and their chemistry is off the charts.

The fake relationship aspect is a lot of fun and adds tons to the story. The two pretend to be together but they easily feel real. If you enjoy stories where the two fall for one another despite not really wanting to, you will enjoy this one.

But in the end, there's a distance issue, as Reeve is only in town for a short time.

Unforgettable is a great read. Marley Valentine wonderfully combines a one night stand, co workers, and fake boyfriends for this delightful romance. And if you're in the mood for heat, you won't be disappointed.

"Kiss me. Just this once . . . please Walker."

Those whispered words were my undoing . . .

As the most hated player in baseball, I had two options: either clean up my image or pack my bags. Being traded wasn't an option which only meant one thing, I had to become compliant.

That's how I found myself sharing a small bistro table with Kate Chapman, the Chicago Bobbies newest PR Manager. Devastatingly beautiful, vastly intelligent, and incredibly cunning, she knows exactly how to handle my grumpy demeanor.

It was supposed to be simple. Book some PR events, show up, smile for the camera, and be done. But one massive mistake on my end sends me into the trenches with Kate, forcing me to open up to her.

Innocent glances turn into cordial encounters.

Secret touches turn into tempting invitations.

And dangerous nights alone turn into consuming desperation.

I’ve never wanted a woman as much as I want her. And I know she wants me, but there’s a no fraternizing with the players rule. Neither of us can afford to lose our jobs, but we also can't seem to keep our hands off each other either.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

Perfect Catch is a great sports romance by Megan Quinn.

I was definitely in the mood for this type of read, so I fell into it hook, line, and sinker.

The two are stubborn, but can't deny their attraction. It's awesome.

The forbidden romance element is every looming, although they certainly only let it get so far in their way. Sort of. Just read it.

Kate's trying to help Walker's imagine, and in the process, finds out way more than either expected.

Walker's a complicated man. As we slowly get to know him, wow, I am super impressed with his ability to finally open up.

There's an issue with a teammate, as they have a complicated past. It takes the reader a long time before they fully get the background, but oh man. So sad. The author puts a lot of layers into this aspect, and I enjoy the way it's all carried out. The anger is still strong, although it's a mix of both anger, guilt, and grief.

I love these two together. The little moments are sweet. The sexual tension is high. And the chemistry is sizzling.

There's also plenty of game action to be enjoyed. If you're not a baseball fan, it won't overwhelm you, but as a baseball fan, I appreciate everything involved.

Written in alternating first person pov, these characters both fully come to life. The story has some twists and turns, in addition to all the angst.

The Perfect Catch is a great choice the next time you're in the mood for a sports romance. Megan Quinn entertains as usual in this bad boy-ish romance.

I slip on my clothes, going for a pair of jeans and a long-sleeved Henley. I push the sleeves up, still heated from the shower. I leave my hat in my locker, opting for a quick swab of styling pomade through my hair. I couldn’t care less what I look like, but Coach always likes us to be somewhat presentable after a game in case we run into any press.

Hungry and ready for my bed, I head out of the locker room and am making my way toward the players’ exit when a throat clears behind me. I glance over my shoulder to find Kate Chapman standing against the wall, her purse draped over her shoulder and a beautiful smile gracing her delicately freckled face.

She quickly gives me a once-over and says, “It was the socks.”

I can’t help it, I let out a low chuckle while slowly shaking my head and turning toward her. Hands in my pockets, I say, “It wasn’t the socks.”

Her mouth drops open in disbelief as she approaches me. “It was so the socks.” She points her finger at me.

“Don’t even deny it.”

“It was all my practice.”

“Yeah, practice with me. Just admit it, Rockwell, you had fun last night, the socks were a good luck charm, and you played your ass off tonight.”

I don’t believe in superstitions, which is unheard of when it comes to a baseball player, but I’ve never geared my play around being a habitual player, either. Instead, I do what feels right. So, believing in socks having a special power and helping me gather some hits tonight—nah, not real. But I will say this—having my socks up reminded me why I was behind that plate. It reminded me of being small again and taking joy in the little things.

Was it the socks? Maybe.

Was it the thought of the girl standing in front of me?

Maybe a little more.

“It wasn’t the socks.”

Her head falls back as she groans. “You’re so stubborn.” She makes eye contact with me again. “Do you realize that?”

“Yeah.” I rock on my heels, trying not to stare at her too much.

Just picture me pitching to you.

When I said that would be too distracting, I meant it. With her softly curled hair and her gorgeous smile that doesn’t seem to ever falter—unless I’m a total dick and walk out on her—she’s caught my eye.

She’s starting to imprint herself on my brain.

She’s starting to make me feel shit I shouldn’t be feeling.

“Well, I’m—”

“What are you doing right now?” I ask out of the blue, surprising myself, and her.

“Uh, I was going to give you a hard time and then go home?” she says with a hint of question at the end.

I nod at her. “Hungry?”

She eyes me suspiciously. “Starving.”

“Want to get some food?”

She chews on her bottom lip, thinking about her answer, and I know it’s not in a joking around way, but more so she’s afraid. Afraid of me, possibly. Afraid for her job, most likely.

So, I add, “You know, to discuss business.”

It’s against team policy to fraternize with the players. I know that, she knows that, but, for the life of me, after seeing that infectious joy on her face, I had to ask her. I had to try to spend more time with her.

“Well, if it’s business . . .” She smiles brightly and then nods behind her. “Follow me.”

Hold the Door (Open Doors #1) by Vinni George

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

One hidden crush.
One bunch of plastic mistletoe.
One alcohol-fueled kiss.
One set of taillights as Max Martino left town.

Sixteen years later…

Sam Addison hates change, and his company’s new merger is stretching him to his limit. When Sam finds out an older, hotter, and amazingly talented Max Martino is part of the acquisition, he knows the only way to keep his sanity is to avoid Max—and their history—at any cost.

Max never planned to settle down, but recently he’s been pining for roots. A new job, a new city, and a second chance with Sam makes the thought of staying in one place exciting for the first time ever.
But the harder Max pushes, the farther Sam runs, sometimes literally, and Max begins to wonder if Sam can ever let go of the biggest mistake Max ever made—leaving.

But maybe a second chance at forever is as simple as holding the door open for love.

Hold the Door is an 80,000-word contemporary romance that features friends to lovers and a second chance at love, a sassy work husband, and surfing lessons that often lead to more. Hold the Door is the first book in the Open Doors series and can be read as a standalone.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Hold the Door is the first book in Vinni George's Open Doors series. It's a nice combination of second chances, co-workers, and a lot of awkward moments.

This is a heartfelt tale of trust and taking chances. When Sam and Max last saw one another, things didn't go well. A whole lot of tension and weariness arises when they meet again.

I have to admit I love Sam's reaction to seeing Max again. I felt bad for him, but I admit to giggling a lot.

Their story is super sweet. It includes many surf lessons, that ultimately help bring them much closer. Not only does it increase the physical attraction between them, their friendship rekindles, and feelings are admitted.

The writing style is perfect to me. Written in alternating first person pov, everything about the writing works for me. I find the author's writing style to be soothing and comforting.

Hold the Door is one of those tales where a lack of communication caused the rift between the men. Some readers hate that aspect, but I have no problem with it. This Vinni George is well worth a read the next time you're in the mood for a second chance romance.

Zander (Johnson Family Rules #1) by Carly Marie

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

It’s hard to get what you don’t ask for
Noah’s world turned on its head when he discovered his new boss was the gorgeous Daddy Dom he saw at DASH. He knows he should talk to him, but how can he do that when he ends up hurting himself any time Deputy Daddy is near?

As the chief deputy, Zander knows he needs to keep things professional with the newest deputy. That becomes harder each time Noah gets hurt. All he wants to do is swoop in and make things better. Maybe if he can find the mysterious guy with the intricate tattoo from DASH, he’ll be able to stop obsessing over the newest deputy.

An accident has Zander’s personal and professional lives colliding as he discovers the man with the tattoo is none other than Noah. Now that he knows Noah’s secret, the overprotective Daddy isn’t going away until he’s sure Noah is okay.

A little communication goes a long way, but after a misunderstanding and a lot of embarrassment, will the two ever be able to talk? If they can’t, one of them is going to need a new job. If they can, Daddy and boy might just discover that they are exactly what the other has been looking for.

Zander is the first book in the Johnson Family Rules series. When the Johnson family is around, there’s no telling what might happen. They are a family who loves fiercely and wants everyone to have their happily ever after. Zander and Noah are bound to be inundated with nosy people, embarrassing moments, and a unconditional support while they find their way as Daddy and boy.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Zander is a fabulous read. As in, holy crap, I love this Carly Marie story. The first book in the Johnson Family Rules series, I couldn't devour it fast enough.

Zander's family, aka the Johnson family, is awesome and totally not the typical family next door. The family's a large, mixed marriage one who definitely aren't shy about sex. His father and step mother own the BDSM club, his brother is a little, his grandmother the receptionist, and everyone has a story I can't wait to discover.

As for Zander and Noah, well, they first notice one another at the club. But Noah thinks Zander is taken. Next thing they know they are co-workers. Awkward, right? Oh how I adore the clumsiness that follows, as Noah is just so uncomfortable. Simply put, you can see it all play out as if it's a tv comedy where he trips and falls every time he sees Zander.

There's a forced proximity aspect, as an injury results in the men spending time together. Cue the developing feelings and ultimate relationship.

The boss/employee aspect is certainly entertaining, especially as Noah has no idea that others around them are involved in kink. Oh fun!

This is a story with plenty of misunderstandings, but none of them are the annoying ones that are just there to keep them apart. Instead, these misunderstandings tend to add some humor and keeps things interesting.

Zander and Noah are truly fabulous together. Zander is a Daddy and he's wonderful knowing what Noah needs. Their romance is a slow burn, but it's well worth the wait. They are sexually on fire, and Zander is a wonderful Daddy for Noah.

The author explores that there is no one type of submission, domination, little, etc. It wonderfully illustrates that whatever works between consenting adults is fine.

And if you don't enjoy the scenes with Larson, well, simply put, I am sorry. Cause they are beautiful! Simply beautiful! I can't wait for more of Larson.

The writing is amazing, with a perfect flow and a seamless storyline. The world building is everything with this one, and I just can't wait to read more.

Zander is a must read for any fans of Daddy romances or just fantastic romances in general. Carly Marie adds plenty of heart, heat, and humor into this wonderful story. I love the Johnson family and can't wait to get to know the others better.
