Dense Fog with No Visibility (Black Ops Heroes #7) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

Where do you go when the world that you thought was perfect is suddenly turned upside down? What do you do when the love you thought would never end suddenly feels like it’s dying before your very eyes?
What happens when a life best spent alone is suddenly filled with another – one who feels so damn right?
What do you do when your entire numb life suddenly feels alive because of one man?
What do you do when caring for everyone but yourself is no longer your future because he is there?
For Brent and JD it’s finding out if the love that they have is strong enough to not only come back from the hell that they’ve both been through but also emerge stronger on the other side.
For bounty hunter Dean Foster – loner, beaten down by a horrendous past that he wears like a second skin – it’s meeting Caleb Martinez, a man who is not only strong enough to withstand the verbal barbs that Dean has never been able to stop but Caleb also somehow sees through them to what’s really inside Dean’s heart.
For Hawke Martinez – a man with no patience, no self-worth, and so much fear that he’ll be like his cheating bastard of a father that he never even bothers to try with relationships – it’s meeting Talon Shafer – a beautiful young man so haunted by his brutal, ugly teenage years that he feels he is broken – and realizing, as he is somehow able to help heal the brutalized man, that maybe Hawke isn’t so worthless after all.
And for Brodie Jackson, it’s learning how to let go after decades of taking care of everyone but himself. Of course, once he meets a man like Nate Fisher, what choice did he have?
Join these strong, yet vulnerable men as they continue on this incredible journey of discovery, some heartache and a whole heaping of love.
This book is 101,410 words long and approximately 519 pages.
This is an adult M/M romance with male/male sex. It mentions PTSD, has light BDSM and mentions of past sexual abuse and trauma. It may contain triggers for some.
It has HEA (happily ever after) for the main characters in this book but introduces new characters that will be further explored in future books that some may consider that a cliffhanger.

Kendel Duncan exceeds all expectations in Dense Fog with No Visibility, the seventh book in the Black Ops series.

Holy crap, JD and Brent. Just wow. This part of their relationship is insanely intense, both emotionally and plot-wise.

These two men are amazing together, and their issues are gut-wrenching. The writing is beyond amazing, instantly grabbing the reader's emotions and letting us feel every single thing along with them.

Again, it's intense. I cried and cried some more.

My favorite line has to be "We tried to make pasta and missed?" I actually did a spit take.

I love everything about Dense Fog with No Visibility. It's amazing, absolutely amazing.

Wind Chill Less Than Zero (Black Ops Heroes #6) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

Sometimes the paths that life’s journeys bring us on are smooth and filled with beautiful times and happy memories. And other times they are filled with difficult times filled with memories you want to forget.
And then there are times like these – where you are completely lost, so alone that you don’t know how to ever make your way back. So numb that you don’t know if you’ll ever feel anything again.
It is in these times that you find out who you really are – and, if you’re lucky, who your greatest love is.
In this continuing saga you’ll see some familiar faces and meet some new ones.
Join Drake Malone as he struggles with his overwhelming grief while still trying to somehow be a dad to his newborn twins and get to know Hunter Nyland, Drake’s childhood friend, himself a recent widower – who selfishly drops everything to move in with Drake to help him with his kids, help him through his grief, and, he hopes, help the man to open up his heart again.
But can Hunter be what Drake needs or is his fight to save the man that he now realizes he loves not going to be enough?
For Riley Miller it’s the struggle of being lost in the undercover world, so far buried under the fake identity he’s had to wear for the last four years that he no longer really remembers who the real Riley is.
Cooper Thompson is just supposed to be Riley’s new partner – and maybe a one-night stand too once Coop gets a look at the gorgeous man – because Cooper Thompson is a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy – he doesn’t do relationships……until he meets Riley Miller.
Are these two men too lost and broken? Or can these two somehow find each other in the darkness of their souls and find love?

This book is 96,574 words long and approximately 533 pages.

Wind Chill Less Than Zero, the sixth book in Kendel Duncan's Black Ops series, picks up right where Hazardous Weather Conditions ends.

Of course, as part of the Black Ops series, this tale includes undercover work, murder and rape situations.
There are so many couples, so many emotions, and so much sex!!! The BDSM dynamics are great, and definitely hot.

This story's about taking a chance on love again, allowing yourself to be happy.

Drake's story is heart-breaking, yet full of healing and love.

I seriously can't get enough of this series. Every character is easy to fall in love with and root for throughout. Every couple has an extremely strong connection. And, yes, the sex is insanely hot. Every story is full of emotion and action. And twists and turns. I love the constant addition of new characters, along with the lead in to the next book. I definitely recommend Wind Chill Less Than Zero!

Hazardous Weather Conditions (Black Ops Heroes #5) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

Second chances
New beginnings
We all would like to have them at some point in our lives. Being plagued with the ‘what if I had done it differently?’ thoughts and doubts is as normal and natural as breathing.
And sometimes we grow and change and finally feel strong enough, confident enough to go after what we want.
For the men in Black Ops Heroes, some new, some familiar, these new beginnings and second chances are not something to be taken lightly. These men savor them, bask in them. They grab on to them and never, ever let go.
First kisses, gentle touches, whispered words that are heard and taken to heart, apologies spoken, forgiveness silently given drive these men to the love that they so desperately crave.
Because to them, these second chances and new beginnings are everything.
But are they enough?

This book is 103,447 words long and approximately 582 pages.

Hazardous Weather Conditions, the fifth book in Kendel Duncan's Black Ops Series, is non-stop sex, romance, and action.

As is the tradition with this series, this book contains moments from many different couples. The pace is super fast, and the story is thrilling.

This beautiful tale revolves around healing and learning to love again. The author gifts us with heart-wrenching and tough to read reunions, as they bring so much pain and hurt.

This book contains some fantastic couples, a whole lot of want and need, and many emotional moments. Each couple and every sex scene is emotional, intense, and amazing. The BDSM is wonderful. The sex club is spectacular.

Most impressive is the way the author excels at writing a story based almost solely on sex scenes. Each scene is vital to the plot development, as well as being super hot. If you like sex scenes, read this!

Ultimately, Hazardous Weather Conditions is awesome! It's a terrific story of overcoming pasts and abuse.

When Tornados Collide (Black Ops Heroes #4) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

Tornado/Tornados/Tornadoes –
Frightening, unpredictable, destructive, stubborn, scary but also sometimes they surprise you with their ‘gentleness’ as they turn suddenly and avoid ruining all that you are, everything that you love.
Some men can be that way too – unpredictable, destructive, stubborn, and scary but with a kindness that’s hidden inside, buried underneath years of whatever crap life has thrown at them.
This is a story of some of those men as they fight and claw their way through the storms that constantly battle around and within them and try to cling to the men that they love.
This is a story of finding out that that it’s okay to be broken.
Of learning that you deserve to be loved even if you’re damaged.
This is the story of learning to trust within the madness of the storm – because the man who loves you fiercely through the storm will keep all your broken, fucked up pieces safely guarded within his heart.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

The fourth book in Kendel Duncan's Black Ops Heroes series, When Tornadoes Collide, is non-stop fun.

Like the previous books in this series, we get a ton of romantic combinations, a whole lot of sex, suspense, danger, and action. This story spends some time addressing PTSD, past abuse, and past rape. Some of these men have a whole lot to overcome in order to move forward with their lives.

I'm extremely impressed with the way the author handles this series. There's always a lot going on, which leaves the reader worried, and so many scenes to leave us swooning.

My favorite scene is definitely Jasper helping Devon. I don't want to give anything away, but it's just beautiful.

Another amazing moment is Beau's speech to Ryan. It's touching that Ryan helps him find love for the first time. And, swoon, "I love you, Ryan, I'm complete with you. I want for nothing, I need for nothing more." Again, swoon.

Some of the stories in this one really got to me. The stalker issue is tragic and devastating. The more we learn about it, the worse it gets. And the rape issue is heart-breaking. Absolutely gut-wrenching. But, the way these men are able to overcome their pain is terrific and emotional.

I highly love When Tornados Collide and the entire Black Ops Heroes series!

Hurricane Force Winds (Black Ops Heroes #3) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

When hurricane force winds hit – things happen fast. And for these six men, fast is an understatement…
Connor Braddock – CEO of Braddock Pharmaceuticals and the secret money-man and participant in deep black ops operations – and now newest financial backer of Drake Malone’s black ops team. That is until he’s kidnapped by….
Cain Perez – ‘Ghost’ as he’s known out in the field. The best at what he does – brutal, detached, a robot – ordered by his main backer to ‘shadow’ Connor for almost a decade – he makes a split-second decision when he finally has Connor Braddock within reach and kidnaps him without a reason why or a plan in place. What happens next between the two of them could only be described as out-of-control, intense and faster than the winds in a hurricane.

Trent Bishop – Connor Braddock’s body guard and former Navy Seal, he’s with Connor when he’s kidnapped but drugged and left in a car on the side of the road – mad at himself for being unable to stop the kidnapping and out of his mind with the feelings the drug has flowing through his system, combining with his total loneliness and meeting the totally hot stranger who comes to his rescue…..
Sky Montgomery – ATF agent on yet another suspension, he’s brought onto Drake Malone’s black ops team only to find, on his very first day, a passed out, incredibly sexy and in need of Sky’s help, Trent Bishop. When the two of them come together it’s dizzying, crazy, hot, intense and faster than the winds of a hurricane.

Diego Lopez – retired Army Ranger and now member of Drake Malone’s team, who, after a lifetime of empty, meaningless hookups with women begins to struggle as he questions himself, his life, his sexuality, his everything, until after another drunken night, fate has him passing out in the lap of one…
Andre Dyson – long-time friend of Connor Braddock and also one-third owner with Connor and Ben Braddock in a sex club called Sanity. Gorgeous blonde haired, blue eyed Australian surfer boy with an accent that will melt hearts, a face that will turn heads and a body that makes men gasp or weep…or sometimes both. When the beautiful, confused man passes out in his lap he’s immediately hit with the need to comfort and teach him until nothing but a smile graces his face. What happens next is consuming, seductive, sensual, patient and faster than the winds of a hurricane.

Three men whose hearts are torn open by forces outside of their control and then miraculously put back together by the three men who shelter them in the crazy world they find themselves in.
Warning: This book contains adult content, including hot man on man action. Not for anyone under 18. While this book ends with a storyline leading to the next book, it is not a cliffhanger for the characters above – they all get their HEA. The cliffhanger is for the characters in the next book in the series.

Hurricane Force Winds is another fun book in Kendel Duncan's Black Ops series.

As is consistent with this series, the sex is plenty. Multiples pairings, hot, steamy, and spicy. There is sex, sex, and more sex. Different couples in many places.

Connor is fascinating. He's asexual and has never been attracted to someone before, but when he's drugged by Cain, he finds himself horny and highly attracted to his capture. Their story is fun and emotional as they fall in love under the most unique of circumstances.

Bishop and Skye are in love, but face complications when they become partners. They have to deal with fears, insecurities, and risks.

Billy and Ben are also a big part of this book, as we get to see them fall in love. It's emotional and tender. I enjoy Billy's fear and the fact that it's Ben's first time with a man.

Hurricane Force Winds is packed with non-stop action. It's damn impressive that among all the sex scenes, is an extremely detailed story. Kendel Duncan is amazing in being able to write so much into one book, let alone the series. There's humor, fun, action, suspense, and danger. Don't blink or you'll miss a lot.

Storm Clouds Ahead (Black Ops Heroes #2) by Kendel Duncan

Blurb

Three lost souls. Thrown together by chance, by circumstance, by life. Two men, one woman. Will they combine to make the perfect storm – creating havoc and destruction all around them, destroying everything they touch, including each other? Or will love prevail and give them what they need, what they desire, what they crave?
Raine Braddock – tough as nails Park Ranger with a heart bigger than the National Park that she lives in, but also a woman who knows what she needs to make her life complete – and that is more than one man to love her. She can’t seem to find men strong enough so she flounders alone, a lost soul in a big park.
Paddington ‘Mac’ McIntyre – Not your typical FBI agent – he’s got piercings, tons of tattoos and enough of an Irish temper to have gotten him into trouble more than his fair share of times. But he’s also got a dark past – a traumatic upbringing by a strict Catholic father has him fighting his true nature, his basic desire, his need – and it’s keeping him angry, confused, lost and unable to find the love that he so desperately needs in his life.
Storm Wilson – DEA agent who has never hid his bi-sexual nature from anyone, not even his co-workers, but with his career stalled as he’s bumped around from every crap case that his supervisor can seem to find, he’s re-thinking his choices and wondering what the hell he’s going to do with his completely lost, lonely, messed-up life.
A series of events: A murder, an opportunity, a chance – bring these lost souls together. Will the love that they find together be enough or will this stormy life try to rip them apart?

Warning – Contains adult subject matter, including graphic language and sex, including: m/f, m/m & m/m/f. It is NOT suitable for younger readers – parental discretion is advised.

Reader Advisory – While the main characters in this book do have an HEA, this is a cliffhanger involving some secondary characters. The secondary characters will go on to become the main characters in the next book in the series.

Storm Clouds Ahead is the second book in Kendel Duncan's Black Ops series, and it is HOT!

This book centers around Storm, Mac, and Raine. Their tale is thrilling, suspenseful and oh so steamy. It's fun watching them navigate their feelings while dealing with a whole lot of danger.

The story is exciting and deep, and is written with a whole lot of humor and tenderness. Admittedly, there are parts of the story that I have to just agree to ignore, as they don't make sense, but I believe an author can take some creative liberties from time to time.

Mac's background, and resulting struggles with his sexuality is abhorrent. I found my heart breaking so very much for this man and his pain.

I find Storm and Mac to be amazing together. I enjoyed every part of their tale. I wasn't so in love with Raine, but she's ok and adds a lot to the story. She's definitely a bad ass and her sass is fun.

Overall, the Black Ops series is superb thus far. I am loving the feel we get for Ben and Billy so far and cannot wait to read their story. And as with any good series, I love getting to spend time with the previous characters.
