Tricks by Rick R. Reed

Blurb

Tricks can mean many things: sex partners, deceptions, even magic ... or maybe all three.

Arliss is a gorgeous young dancer at Tricks, the hottest club in Chicago’s Boystown. Sean is the classic nerd, out of place in Tricks, but nursing his wounds from a recent breakup. When the two spy each other, magic blooms.

But this opposites-attract tale does not run smooth. What happens when Arliss is approached by one of the biggest porn producers in the business? Can he make his dreams of stardom come true without throwing away the only real love he’s ever known? And ... will it even matter if the mysterious producers realize their dark intentions?

My Rating - 4 Stars!

It took me a while to become fully invested in Rick Reed's Tricks, but once I did, I couldn't put it down.

Arliss, a dancer at a sleezy club meets Sean. What follows is a riveting ride, as the two mesh well, but are facing a whole lot of conflict. And damn, that conflict is intense.

This story includes many references to drug use, prostitutes, orgies, porn, gang bangs, rape, and more. If that isn't your thing, skip this one. What I truly enjoy is the intense fear and awareness of contracting HIV in this story that explores many aspects of the world of "tricks."

The author does a great job developing this tale with fabulous writing, a complex storyline, and two intriguing characters. The pace is quick, and the action non-stop.

Tricks is a great read. Definitely check out this Rick Reed book when you're in the mood for a complex story revolving around the world of drugs, sex, clubs, and porn.

My Best Friend's Secret by Crystal Lacy

Goodreads Link

Blurb

Yuki has always tried his best to ignore his attraction to Raysen because their friendship is more important than that.

Raysen was there for the lowest point in my life. He saved me, and I'll always love him for that. He's my best friend and has been my roommate for years. Even if I do let my gaze linger on his body for way too long sometimes, I would never risk what we have.

That is, until I have to deliver Raysen's cell phone to him at a house party and stumble upon a scene I will never be able to forget—and temptation I couldn't resist even if I tried to. Only I don't even try to resist. Instead, I jump headfirst into it.

Will we be able to deal with the consequences and keep our friendship intact?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ohhh, My Best Friend's Secret is a delicious friends to lovers romance by Crystal Lacy.

Raysen's long crushed on his best friend and roommate, Yuki. Little does he know that the feelings are reciprocated. Their tale is one of secret crushes, glory holes, exhibitionism, voyeurism, and orgies. It's hot, seriously super hot and steamy. But it's also sweet and romantic too.

Told in alternating 1st person pov, the emotions of both men are easily felt, and the sights are easily imagined by the reader. But even more important, the lust and need is very easily felt by the reader. Best part of this is the surprise that it's written in present tense, but I love it. The author excels in the way she writes, never making it feel awkward.

Overall, My Best Friend's Secret is a fantastic short romance. Damn, just damn. Don't read this one in public. But read it when you're looking for some spice.

Here for You (Whirlwind Book 2) by Reese Morrison

Blurb

Eric's always avoided dating. It's just too hard to find someone who's interesting to hang out with, willing to put up with his reserved nature, and shares his kinks.

But when he sees a new sub, Micah, walking across the club floor, something's different. Micah is both vulnerable and strong, walking proudly with his crutch and blurting out his transgender status, and pushing himself to ask for what he wants.

And what Micah wants is a group scene. Fortunately, Master Eric has four good friends...

This is the second book in the Whirlwind series. Each book encompasses a single whirlwind moment, usually around a single day, in which two (or sometimes three!) characters connect in a special way. The series features many transgender, genderqueer, and gender-bending characters who are looking for love (and some kink). This book contains a group scene, spanking, and a HFN ending.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Reese Morrison's Here for You, the second book in the Whirlwind series, is an stupendous BDSM story.

It includes a BDSM club, group sex, and the Whirlwind Bar as the setting that  starts it all. Once again, I like the unique factor that the bar brings to this series. It isn't the main setting of the story, but continues to be where each couple is introduced.

Micah has a secret desire to be dominated, held down, and taken by multiple men at the same time. Being transgender, he's always struggled with bearing both himself and his desires. He also has a physical disability caused by his cerebral palsy, which is well written and explored.

Eric's a Dom who is able to give Micah everything he's ever wanted. And oh my, I just love him and his connection to Micah.

I love the writing, as the story is multi-layered with characters full of pain and doubts. The plot is serious, yet fun. And be ready for some serious heat!

Here For You is a story of finding a place where one belongs. This Reese Morrison is the perfect escape when you're in the mood for a quick, yet complex BDSM story.

Swap by Annabella Michaels

Blurb:
When their daughter goes off to college, Samuel and his wife Gayle begin to take stock of their lives. Realizing they’re best friends and not in love with one another, the two agree to an amicable split. Nervous about jumping back into the dating world, they accept a friend’s invitation to attend a swap party.
Tossing their keys into a bowl and leaving it up to fate to decide who they’re paired with is too tempting to resist. But when Samuel is faced with an audacious young man who strikes up a conversation, the attraction to men he’s kept buried for so long comes rushing back.

At twenty-two years old, Oliver Hughes is one of the most sought after male models in the world. Sassy and bold, with a penchant for wearing high heels and a touch of makeup, Oliver’s life is what he always dreamed it could be. Except for one thing…
Yearning to fall in love and settle down, Oliver’s grown bored of meaningless hookups with shallow, fame seeking guys. While attending a swap party, his last-ditch effort to find someone who doesn’t know who he is when they meet, Oliver finds himself drawn to a handsome, older man. One who’s endearingly unaware of his own appeal.
As their relationship grows, something sinister and dark threatens what they’ve managed to build. What will it take for Oliver and Samuel to survive, and is their happily ever after doomed from the start?

REVIEW:

Wow. What a great story! I was immediately sucked into Swap by the blurb. It is a fantastic premise for a story. And Annabelle Michaels nailed it!

I love how Samuel and Gayle are written. Their situation resonates with me, as I know people who have experienced similar paths, minus the swap party. It is a great idea for a story and leads to a wonderful book.

When they go to their first swap party, be prepared. There are some very hot scenes! It is at this party that Samuel and Oliver meet. Their attraction to each other is intense. And their experience there is HOT!

One thing I really enjoy is the age difference between Samuel and Oliver. It exists but doesn't become an issue for them. Often, you find books with age differences to be one of the key parts of story. But, in Swap, it just is and never amounts to causing angst.

This is a wonderful book. The love the way that Oliver's story is written. It is great to see that what appears to be a enviable career is not allows what it seems. This part is written remarkably well. It is detailed, develops more over time and is an integral part of the story.

The amount of angst in this book is perfect.  It was well developed and kept me guessing, as well as adding so much to the story.

Ultimately, I completely enjoy Swap and recommend it to everyone who is open to reading some quick orgy descriptions.
