RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW - MF - Blind Pass (Carolina Comets #2) by Teagan Hunter

She's sunshine. He's grumpy.
She's beauty. And him? He's the Beast.

Blind Pass by Teagan Hunter is now live!

What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay there.

I would know. I'm coming home with a brand-new ring on my finger.

My wife? Ryan Bell.
We're polar opposites.
She's sunshine and happiness.
I'm grumpy and scarred--literally.

We could get it annulled and no one would be the wiser.
Only problem? We posted about it online, and it's already making headlines.

I can't afford to get that kind of attention and tank my career, and Ryan needs my help too.

We make a plan: stay married for one year, play our roles, and divorce amicably at the end. No harm, no foul.

Besides, there's no way the beauty is going to fall for the beast…

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Blind Pass is a fun sports romance by Teagan Hunter. The second book in the Carolina Comets series, this is easily read as a standalone.

This is a romance that starts with a drunken wedding in Vegas, and ends in true love.

I love the differences between Ryan and Adrian. One's a beauty influencer, the other a hockey star with an ugly scar on his face from a hockey accident. From the start, this is a total opposites attract tale with some good Beauty and the Beast tie ins.

This story also starts with an enemies to lovers feel, as the two characters couldn't stand each other in the first book.

They bond over their sorrows, they drunkenly get married, and then proceed to fall in love via some forced proximity.

I love sports romances, so it's no surprise I was delighted with this one. The writing drew me in from the start and I couldn't put this book down. The writing style is great, with two intriguing characters, a fabulous flow, and a compelling storyline. I enjoy the humor, as well as the chemistry between the two.

Blind Pass is a great choice the next time you're in the mood for a sports romance. This Teagan Hunter read had me riveted throughout. I highly recommend it.

Betting on His BF (Nerds vs Jocks #4) by Eli Easton & Tara Lain

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Big Bet. Big Trouble. Big Love.

When Felix the Quiz Bowl Champion reveals other oversized assets besides his brain, it takes PJ, the super-wheeler-dealer, to wangle maximum profits from it—in bets, wet jock strap contests, and Wang of the Week.

But winning money turns out to be second to falling in lust, and sexual escapades replace time at the poker tables as the number-one activity of their wicked week in Vegas.

Still, accepting the hospitality of PJ’s father’s client, the mobster Joey Oretano, proves a nearly fatal money-saving scheme, and brings Felix and PJ face-to-face with the serious side of life.
Very. Serious.

Will someone take the chance to be a hero?
Or will someone wind up dead?

BETTING ON HIS BF is a friends-to-lovers, bisexual awakening, what-happens-in-Vegas-can-win-you-money, dash-of-suspense, MM romance—with large assets.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Betting on His BF is the fourth book in the Nerds vs Jocks series. This Eli Easton and Tara Lain book is easily read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed if read in order.

I have to start by stating that I mostly love this book. There are definitely plenty of Vegas moments that I am not a fan of. It's all entertaining, and adds some suspense, but it just isn't for me.

But the relationship is awesome. I love these two together. I love the sexual awakening. And I love the banter and humor throughout.

This is a story with Vegas antics, a man who loves to make a sure bet, and a man with a large package.

The writing is great, which is no surprise. The characters are great, but part of their storyline was just okay to me.

Betting on His BF is an easy, humorous romance. If you want to laugh, you will enjoy it.

Ache by Marley Valentine

ache marley valentine ecover 5

I couldn’t tell you when I fell in love with Gael Herrera, but I wish I knew how to make it stop.

Falling in love with a straight man is a rookie mistake. But falling in love with my soon-to-be-married-to-a-woman best friend is nothing but heartache.

Through all the years, and all the men I’ve fooled around with, he’s always been at the back of my mind. An unrequited crush I wish I could shake. A dream that was never going to come true.

When I whisk him off to a surprise bachelor party weekend in Vegas, I surrender to the idea that this is an opportunity for me to finally let go of my feelings for him and say goodbye.

But after a heated exchange and an even hotter kiss, everything I thought I knew about our friendship changed.

Maybe I had it wrong. Maybe, after all this time, we were more than best friends. Maybe, just maybe, he felt it too.

Wow! Ache is an amazing friends to lovers romance by Marley Valentine. This book got me in all the feels. I love it all!

But, and this is a BIG but, if you can't read a tale with cheating, run far from this one. Cause this is all cheating.

From the start, the emotions are front and center in this book. I was mesmerized throughout.

The cheating is tough, but hot damn, I was rooting hard for these men to be together!

And then - omg - then... I still can't breathe.

Damn, the twists and turns gutted me. UGH!!!! I wanted to scream NOOOOOO!!!

The writing is great, including multiple povs. I am not adding details, because, just not doing it.

Everything about Ache is perfectly developed. This Marley Valentine story had me gripped throughout. I couldn't have loved it more! Just read it!

“Gael,” I breathe out. “Please.”

He shakes his head, and even though every fiber of my being knows how dangerous this is, being like this, I stay still. I stand there and let him hold me, intimately, as he tells me he loves somebody else.

Slowly, his hands rise, ghosting the length of me and settling on either side of my neck. “Ask me why I’m not with you. Why I’m not marrying you.”

Unable to look at him, I turn my head, and he persists with the questioning. “Ask me why, Jordan.”

“Stop,” I plead. Forcefully, I step out of his hold and let my eyes land on his. “What is the point, Gael?” I ask, exasperated. “What is the fucking point of rehashing all the things we want and can’t have?”

“Why can't we have them?” he says.

How To Live
By Susan Hawke

 LOVESTRONG, Book 7

Take one clueless, spoiled guy with notoriously bad luck…

When Derek Leigh is diagnosed with breast cancer at twenty-four, it’s the final straw in a lifetime of bad luck. If he’s going to die, it’ll be on his terms… with one helluva party that packs a lifetime’s worth of fun into whatever time he has left. To make this happen, Derek blows up his life: dumps the long-term boyfriend in the worst way possible, borrows money he can’t repay from a loan shark, and heads to Atlantic City... where his luck unexpectedly changes, giving him fresh hope.

Add one easygoing tattoo artist with a big, open heart…

Asher Matthews has dealt with a lot in his thirty-five years: he and his twin were born addicted to heroin and abandoned at birth… until Mama Maisie added them to her brood of lost boys. ADHD and dyslexia didn’t keep him from following his dream of opening his own tattoo shop, especially with his family’s support. With all that he’s been given in life, Asher makes a point of giving back where he can.

To equal two men who instantly connect in all the best ways.

Derek is shocked to not only survive his cancer treatment, but to come to the end of it in great health. Too bad he’s blown through all his money, lost his car, and has nowhere to turn. On a whim, he goes for a free tattoo. Asher takes one look at the sexy twink who’s down on his luck and offers him a room, a job, and even better, a friend. If they have a little no-strings fun along the way, it’s fine. It’s not like anyone is looking to fall in love, right?

This 55k novel is the seventh book in the LOVESTRONG series about finding love and being yourself in a small town. Watch out for ridiculous amounts of money won and lost, a butler who takes everything in stride, and a scruffy dog you’ll want to cuddle. This is an mm romance full of all the fun, laughter, and sweet feels you’d want from a Susan Hawke book.

Possible trigger for anyone currently fighting cancer or closely related to a breast cancer patient. The book is low angst and the experience is gently handled, but the subject matter is present.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

How To Live is the seventh book in Susan Hawke's Lovestrong series. It's a magnificent book, but damn, it's an emotional rollercoaster for sure.

Derek's the main man in this tale. And, damn, he's both likeable and easy to hate at the same time. When he's diagnosed with breast cancer, it's easy to sympathize.

But damn, he's also so damn reckless and self sabotaging. To understand him though makes it forgivable. He's a man who assumes he's about to die. He thinks nothing of living in the moment. And damn, it's tough to read. I really wanted to yell at him and smack some sense into him. But, alas, he's careless. And it catches up with him.

Luckily for him, he meets Asher at a time when he's at rock bottom.

Derek's journey is one hell of a ride. He learns endless amounts about himself by then end. His inability to do the most basic of things is staggering. But, yes, the way it's developed, it makes sense. Trust me, the author knows what she's doing.

As for Asher, well, he's just damn perfect. He's solid, dependable, has a great family, and is all around lovable. Best of all though is the way he deals with Derek.

The breast cancer aspect is fantastic. I love that the author decided to write about a man with breast cancer, as so often people assume a man can't get it. But, yes, they can and they do. I hope a lot of people read this book and take note.

Susan's writing is amazing. I may not enjoy all of Derek's choices, but the character development is wonderful. And the storyline is heartfelt, emotional, and poignant.

How to Live is another fabulous addition to this series. Susan Hawke digs deep in this one, to bring us a character who has as many ups and downs in a short period of time that one can have.

________________________________________________________________________

Hunter used to tell me how cute my cluelessness was, but I never understood how truly out of it I had been until recently. Simply living at the cheap motel was eating up my money at an alarming

rate, especially when I had a real need to eat every day and drove a gas-burning car.

Simply thinking about it had me clenching my fists. I wasn't even meant to still be alive, dammit. And yes, breathing was preferable, but I wasn't supposed to have to worry about finances.

All the money I'd won, and now I was afraid to tip the maids when they brought toilet paper and freshened the room because I might need it to buy a greasy burger from the value menu in another week or two.

"I beg your pardon, Derek. I'm sensing a lot of anger in your demeanor. Would you like to talk about your feelings for a few minutes?" Ted's voice startled me, nearly making me jump.

You could call me an asswipe because you wouldn’t be wrong, but my first thought was maybe if I talked, then Ted would stop. For a few blissful seconds, the monotone would end. For that thought alone, I wanted to slap myself.

Chagrined and blushing, I nodded. "You know what, Ted? You're right. I think I am angry. I should warn you, though. My self-talk is so bitchy I really can't even with my own damn self, so maybe it's best I don't share?"

Ted shocked me by laughing. Actually fucking laughing. "Derek, anger is a healthy emotion, part of the grieving process I was discussing with you. In a couple weeks, you’ll be finished with your cancer treatments, won’t you? This is when real-world problems and emotions start taking over again as the fear of dying recedes. But part of your recovery is whole body, and that means your mind. You have to deal with your feelings, Derek, if you want to be completely healed."

He was so encouraging, I wanted to sink into the floor and bury myself on the spot. Seriously, could I have been a bigger jerk?

"You might be right, Ted. But how will talking about my anger help my other problems? Problems I was apparently too clueless to even see coming in time to make wiser decisions. My ex-boyfriend was right. I might be cute and have a great personality, but I'm really not equipped to manage my own life."

"I feel like your ex-boyfriend might have had good intentions, but he was wrong. You mentioned having a bachelor's degree? Unless somebody earned it for you, its existence alone proves you're capable of being educated. If you don't know how to manage your life, maybe you were never taught?"

Wow. His statement was… something to consider. "I mean, I definitely did the work. But my grandmother paid for my education. I never had to get a job. She wanted me to have the full college experience and not have to worry about anything. And growing up, the household staff took care of my needs. Any decisions were handled by my father."

"And how did your upbringing make you feel, Derek?"

How did I feel? What kind of question was he asking?

"I don't know, Ted. I will have to think about what I feel, I suppose. If you're asking if my upbringing is what I'm angry about, I don't know. Maybe? Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd rather break something then talk about this more."

Ted's eyes lit up. He sat forward, rubbing his palms together with a surprisingly normal grin. "Then you should. Take something you don't care about or an item with negative memories and destroy it. Smash it, break it, burn it—do whatever it takes. I'll be interested to know if you feel better after it's gone."

Don't ask him, don't go there, don't you do it, Derek. No. Hard, unequivocal no. Annnd on my next breath, I found myself doing it, opening my mouth, and flapping my yap, and yes—arranging a follow-up visit.

It was patently obvious I not only had problems saying no, but I was also a martyr. There was no other explanation why I would voluntarily put myself through another grueling session with Monotone Ted.

Although he had made a good suggestion, and I had to admit the man deserved to hear the story later after I purged my anger in an epic way. First, I needed to figure out what I would destroy.

Teaser 1

As an avid reader and big romance fan myself, I love sharing the stories of the different people who live in my imagination. My stories are filled with humor, a few tears, and the underlying message to not give up hope, even in the darkest of times, because life can change on a dime when you least expect it. This theme comes from a lifetime of lessons learned on my own hard journey through the pains of poverty, the loss of more loved ones than I'd care to count, and the struggles of living through chronic illnesses. Life can be hard, but it can also be good! Through it all I've found that love, laughter, and family can make all the difference, and that's what I try to bring to every tale I tell.

I'm a happily married mom with one snarky teenage boy, and three grown "kids of my heart." I'm more widely known for my mpreg writings as Susi Hawke; this new name is a departure from that. Whether written by Susan or Susi, the books are filled with that all-important love, laughter, and family I mentioned; the only difference is that this name has no male pregnancy. I look forward to sharing my stories with you, and to bringing more romance and laughter into this world that needs it so very badly.

I’ve had my fair share of less than proud relationship moments, but waking up married to my brother-in-law’s best friend is a new low.

A drunken wedding to a man who already rejected me once? Check. A hefty bet about how long it will last? Check. My feisty new husband, determined to make our friends pay up? Double check.

I’ve never managed to make a real relationship last nearly a year, there’s no way Daniel will stick around long enough to win this bet. The only problem is the longer he stays, the more the lines blur between what’s real and what’s for show. Does he feel it too, or am I totally screwed?

***Screwed is a woke up married, faking it to their friends but also totally hooking up, sweet, STEAMY love story that happens to be the fourth book in the Four Bears Construction series. There are no bear shifters in this series, only the OTHER kind of bears.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

KM Neuhold's Screwed is another delightful addition to the Fours Bears Construction series. This time around, we are treated to Ollie and Daniel's accidental marriage and fake relationship.

Two men, one drunk night in Vegas, and a lie that the marriage is real. For Ollie and Daniel, having to fake their relationship to save face and win a bet, results in a sweet, adorable romance.

I love the way the feelings slowly develop over time. And they are an adorable couple, with some intense moments between them. Their time together truly creates a bond that can't be denied.

The differences in the men have been developed over the series, with Ollie being a fall quickly, hoping this time is the one, kind of guy. He's been married multiple times and yet still believes in love. Daniel, meanwhile, is one who doesn't believe in love and stays away from relationships. I love these opposites beliefs and approaches to love.

Their story has a lot of lighthearted moments, and plenty of light humor. There's banter and snark, as well as some hot moments. And the writing is fabulous.

Everything about Screwed is pure fun and entertainment. KM Neuhold definitely left me thrilled with Ollie and Daniel's journey, which I was super excited to read.

I lift my left hand closer to my face, sure I’m having some kind of hangover induced hallucination. I mean, why the hell would I have a silver band around my left ring finger? Running my thumb over the band, it feels very much real, the metal smooth and warm from my skin.

“What the actual fuck?” I mutter, finally leaning over and filling my mouth with water so I can rinse and spit. Obviously, I got drunk and decided to put on Ren’s wedding band for some reason that I’m sure made sense when I was ten shots of tequila deep.

I shuffle back out of the bathroom, slipping the ring off as I go. Ollie is still passed the fuck out on the bed, the sheets tangled around one leg while the other hangs off the side of the bed, his ass looking entirely biteable in his tight boxer briefs. I glance down at myself, realizing for the first time that I have no clue what I fell asleep in. A pair of loose fitting boxers hang on my hips. Ollie’s underwear, awesome.

Oh no, did we fuck? I look around helplessly for any clue to what might’ve happened. There aren’t any condom wrappers or lube packets in sight, but that doesn’t necessarily prove anything. I slip one hand into my underwear and between my ass cheeks. No traces of lube, and my hole doesn’t feel sore, so whatever we might’ve done, it wasn’t that. Thank fuck, because I would’ve been pissed if I blacked out a dicking from a man like that.

I don’t want to rummage through Ollie’s stuff, so I set the ring on the nightstand on his side of the bed where he’ll be able to see it and put it away when he wakes up. Good thing I didn’t lose it. Ren would’ve had my ass, and not in the fun way.

I climb back into bed, propping my pillow up against the headboard and grabbing my phone so I can check for any missed calls. My heart jolts when I see dozens of missed calls and texts from Ren.

“Oh fuck, please don’t be anything bad,” I mutter, opening the text thread.

Ren: I can’t decide if I’m pissed or amused right now. I can’t believe you did this and with Ollie of all people

That’s not a good sign. I scroll up to get more context, and I find a video I apparently sent to Ren at three in the morning. I swear to god if Ollie and I made a porn and sent it to Ren… I shake my head at myself and hit the play button on the video.

“I should call Ren and tell him to come down here. Shit, I think this thing is recording. Oh, I can send it to Ren!” I giggle and hiccup. “Rennnnnnnn, I know you’re probably balls deep in your man, or vice versa, but Ollie and I are at the Little White Wedding Chapel and you should totally come down here and watch us get married. Oh my god, bring Cole too. He should see his brother get married. Can you bring rice to throw? Fuck, do we have rice to throw at their wedding?”

The camera jostles and Ollie comes into view looking just as fucking hammered as I did.

“You’re not supposed to throw rice. We’re going to get bubbles.”

“Bubbles! Ren, bring bubbles!” I start laughing again, and Ollie joins in. “Dang, they’re calling our name, I have to go. Hey, this means you and me are going to be brother-in-laws. Brothers-in-law? Brother-ins-laws?” I start laughing again, and the video ends.

“Nooooooo,” I gasp, staring at my phone in horror. After the video is a dozen texts from Ren telling me not to marry Ollie and then a few more where he seems pretty resigned to the fact that it probably happened and mildly pissed at me. “No, no, no.”

Author K.M.Neuhold is a complete romance junkie, a total sap in every way. She started her journey as an author in new adult, MF romance, but after a chance reading of an MM book she was completely hooked on everything about lovely- and sometimes damaged- men finding their Happily Ever After together. She has a strong passion for writing characters with a lot of heart and soul, and a bit of humor as well. And she fully admits that her OCD tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory will likely always lead to every book having a spin-off or series. When she's not writing she's a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero...just kidding, she's likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her husky while her amazing husband brings her coffee.
