Fall Deep (Kinley Island) by Raleigh Ruebins

Blurb

Alex:
Nobody knows the real me. I didn’t choose to be famous or wealthy, and I’ve seen firsthand how the media ruins lives--including mine. So I keep everything secret, controlled, and undisclosed. Especially the fact that I’m attracted to men.

And then Landon Luna breaks right through my shell. He’s a whirling tornado of flirtation, blond hair, and irresistible lips. He’s a ray of sunshine in my lonely life, and I desperately need to keep him close. But he refuses to sign my contract. And now every time his lips touch mine, it's dangerous. So why can't I stop?

With a reporter following my every move, the pressure is on. I need to keep things locked down. Need to keep myself under control. But I also need Landon--body and soul.

And no matter the danger, no matter the risk, I get what I want.
Even if it costs me everything.

Landon:
I’ve spent my whole life falling in love too fast. It’s the same story every time: I meet hot guys, I fall so deep, I give them everything… and then they run away.

But then I meet Alex Aldridge. Alex is everything I’ve daydreamed about since boyhood--wicked hot, brooding, and secretly passionate as hell. He’s an heir to a technology empire, but behind all his money, he's got an ocean of secrets. Like the fact that he's into men. And the fact that he wants me.

There's just one catch: Alex forbids me from telling a single soul that I'm seeing him. And he offers me an exorbitant sum of money to ensure my silence. The offer stings--but the thought of losing him hurts even more. Because after falling into bed with him, I've started falling in love.

I’ve never been good at secrets.
Especially ones that hurt.
But I don’t think I can let him go.

Fall Deep, part of the Kinley Island series by Raleigh Ruebins, is a fantastic small town romance.

Alex is a famous billionaire who's family lives in the spotlight. He's never able to be himself with people. But, when he meets caterer Landon, everything slowly changes. They have instant chemistry, but it's the fact that Landon isn't interested in the superficial side of Alex that really makes things spark. Landon wants to know the real Alex and this is where things start to get serious.

The tough part for these two is that Alex hates the spotlight, and doesn't want to come out as bisexual. He doesn't want the press to care about him. He prefers to hide in the background. Landon doesn't want to be closeted, but they keep running into one another, and the chemistry and connection is undeniable.

Their story includes some stuffy events, a closeted relationship, and a whole lot of secrets. And damn, they are certainly hot together.

Fall Deep is full of good angst and some wonderfully steamy scenes. This Raleigh Ruebins tale definitely pulls at your heartstrings and has you rooting hard for these two to make things work.

Anticipating Temptation (Anticipation #3) by Silvia Violet

Blurb

Marty doesn’t want to need a Daddy, but he’s still anticipating temptation...

Marty’s new boss pushes all his buttons. He’s confident, capable, and he expects to get his way.

But Marty’s past experience has made him wary of dominant men and determined to establish his independence. Even if deep down he knows Rob will treat him right, he can’t put his new job at risk. Everyone knows sleeping with your boss is a terrible idea.

Rob is the CEO of a company he built himself. He's wealthy and successful, but he’s also lonely.

While he’d never admit it, he longs for a place to call home and a man to love.

Before he met Marty, Rob never felt such a protective urge toward anyone. When he hires Marty to be the housekeeper for his new ranch, Rob doesn’t just want Marty to work for him. He wants to be Marty’s Daddy. Rob is a man who always goes after what he wants, even if he has to break some rules.

Silvia Violet's Anticipating Temptation is an amazing addition to her Anticipation series. The third book in the series, it's easily read as a standalone.

I was immediately drawn in by Marty and Rob. After meeting them in previous books, Marty's in town after running for an abusive ex, and his new boss captures his attention from the start. And Rob instantly feels like Marty is more than just another employee. There's instant attraction and desire between the two, leading to some fun times, including Marty's first day on the job.

In Rob, Marty finds someone who makes him smile. Just swoon. And Rob's question sums it up well, when he asks "Do you need a Daddy, Marty?"

Despite Rob only being in town temporarily, the two men certainly can't resist the temptation. To add to the fun, Rob has no fear of getting caught in public. What starts as a casual sexual relationship quickly leads to strong feelings. Their relationship is full of possessiveness, intensity, and passion. It's also one with a great balance between taking care of someone while also fostering independence.

It's the wonderful tale of grabbing the chance for a summer together knowing there's an end date. It's a tale of a closeted man who's he never had a reason to come out before. It's a tale of a man surviving abuse and it's aftermath. Add in some homophobia to up the angst factor, and some hot, yet mild Daddy kink, and it's a marvelous story.

The writing is as I'd expect from this established author. The characters are strong, the story structure is wonderful, and the small town feel is well captured. The descriptive writing is downright hot.

I'm always excited to read a Silvia Violet book, and this one did not disappoint. Anticipating Temptation is an fantastic small town romance. It's a wonderful reminder that it's okay to let people help you.

Want Me (Extracurricular Activities #1-7) by Neve Wilder

Blurb

18,000 words of angsty behavior, aggressive/enthusiastic/messy sex, a tender moment or two, and an ugly ass turkey centerpiece.

lf the cover doesn't draw you in, the storyline will. Neve Wilder's Want Me is one of the hottest books I've ever read.

The opening scene is ultra steamy, continuing for a long time. Seriously, this is erotica at it's best. Honestly, with the first scene being so long and intense, I wasn't sure how much of their story would involves sex versus sex with a storyline. Luckily, in addition to the absolutely panty melting moments, we get an amazing storyline, full of emotions and romance.

This is a stellar tale of a bu-curious man starting up a secret relationship with his bisexual roommate. It involves sneaking around and roommate issues. It also involves misunderstandings, fears, and uncertainties. Two roommates, Nate and Eric get off on exhibitionism and voyeurism, intense and spectacular edging, and some hot rimming. They are beyond sizzling together and I fell in love with both men, as they're great characters, who are even better together.

To say this story is hot is an understatement. And lucky for us, they're also fun together as they navigate their way through their developing relationship.

Want Me's an exceptional coming of age, GFY college romance. Neve Wilder delights in this stellar tale of questioning one's sexuality. Take note, be careful where are you when you read this one. But definitely read this one. You won't regret it!
