My Rating - 4 Stars!

Press One for Fake Boyfriend is a fun fake boyfriend romance by Joe Satoria. The first book in the Dial a Man series, I'm excited to see what comes next.

Wyatt and Kane's story is sweet and full of feel good vibes.

This is definitely a unique to me kind of story, as Wyatt hires Kane to be his fake boyfriend for a weekend away with a famous chef.

The chef stuff and baking camp is fun, although the famous chef is definitely a little crazy and eccentric. Of course, this adds a lot to the story.

I enjoy the way their friendship develops, with the feelings slowly becoming real. The opposite natures of the two complement one another well.

Add in a little bit of tension about Kane's job as an escort, and things just get better. I really enjoyed these parts a lot.

I like the author's writing style, which includes a good pace, and an easy to follow style.

Press One for Fake Boyfriend is a great choice when you're in the mood for a somewhat fluffy, easy read. This Joe Satoria romance is a great mix of entertaining, sweet, and romantic.

Bright Horizon (Pine Cove #4) by H.J. Welch

Blurb

Ben Turner is besotted with the handsome older man who’s always in his bakery. They have nothing in common…until one day Ben discovers he’s an overnight millionaire, and his customer could become his protector. But they hardly know each other. He’d be crazy to accept his help, right?

Lawyer Elias Solomon knows his crush on the beautiful young baker is ridiculous, but when he suspects Ben is being taken advantage of, he can’t help but step in. Elias’s upcoming fortieth birthday has made him adventurous, but he never imagined he’d accompany Ben all the way to England.

Ben has never even heard of Great Aunt Nancy, his corrupt and bitter English family, their enormous home and orchard grounds, or the business they run from it. All of which he now apparently owns. It’s up to Ben to save the estate with Elias’s help, but does he want the responsibility? All he really wants is to fall into Elias’s bed and never leave, and soon the chemistry is too much to ignore. Elias can’t see how they’ll make it work when they’re from different generations. But when old rivalries take a dangerous turn, he soon realizes he’ll do anything to keep Ben safe from harm…and in his arms.
Book Four of Pine Cove. Bright Horizon is a steamy, standalone MM romance novel with a guaranteed HEA and absolutely no cliffhanger.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

HJ Welch's Bright Horizon is the fourth book in the Pine Cove series. It's easily read as a standalone, so jump right into this one even if you haven't read the previous books.

There is something special about this book. It truly resonated with me and impressed the hell out of me.

At the start, Ben discovers he's inherited $65 million. Next thing he knows, he's off to England with Elias to meet the family he never even knew about. As a man who desperately wants a family, it is heart-breaking the way he is treated by them. This story is full of family issues, as greed makes everything get ugly.

As for Elias, this part is outlandish and yet absolutely perfect. Elias and Ben has both been crushing on one another from afar. When Elias offers to help Ben legally, the two find out they are meant to be more than acquaintances.

Ben and Elias make a phenomenal couple. They each have their issues, especially doubts and fears, but the way they come together slowly is amazing. With a large age gap, and a health issue, there is plenty to keep them from fighting their intense attraction and chemistry. But through it all, a real friendship develops through concern and caring. And, wow, I just love Elias. Absolutely love him. He has a huge heart, and it's beautiful that only Ben is able to crack through it.

This book is so much more that I could have ever expected. The family issues are intriguing and completely riveting. It's so well written, with some great twists and turns. And, omg, there's a loveable kitten.

It's full of angst and humor, as well as one serious health issue. Personally, I don't want to give anything away, but this part of the story is impressively written, as it delves into some serious and importance issues.

Bright Horizons is a superb story. As an avid fan of HJ Welch, I am not surprised. But, seriously, just read this book.

REVIEW TOUR - Jude (Lucky #3) by Garrett Leigh

Buy Links: Amazon US | Amazon UK

Length: 60,000 words approx.

Cover Design: Garrett Leigh @ Black Jazz Design

Lucky Series

Blurb

Isha has spent the last year watching his BFF get his happily-ever-after. He’s proud of Dom, but…it hurts to see him so free while Isha’s love life is still on lockdown. Only Isha’s ex-wife knows the secret that he’s kept caged for so long—that he’s queer too, and he’s lonely.

Jude’s too chained to his work to notice what he’s missing by being terminally single, but a new face in the village soon catches his attention. City boy Isha is gorgeous, and when he starts to haunt Jude’s reptile shop as well as the hook-up app on his phone, he's a welcome distraction from Jude’s business problems.

For a control freak like Isha, letting Jude under his skin is an existential meltdown, but Jude’s not in the market to be anyone’s queer crisis, not when he’s facing troubles of his own. Unlocking their lives could push both men apart forever, but it might be a risk worth taking if sharing is the key to their happy future.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Garrett Leigh's Jude gets off to a good start, with a fun meet que. In fact, it's fun that they get to know one another because of Isha's ex.

Jude and Isha are two complex men, who slowly worked their way into my heart. By the end, I absolutely adore them together. They are both wonderful men on their own, and even better together. True to a great romance, these two men improve when together, enriching each other's lives.

I definitely didn't love all the reptile talk, as I am easily grossed out by these animals. The author does a great job with all of it though. Jude's knowledgeable and passionate about his job. As for Isha's kids, I love how well they mesh with Jude. They naturally bond which is always fantastic in a romance involving children.

The angst is well written, as Isha struggles to combine his kids with his hook-ups. As a parent, I appreciate Isha's apprehension and enjoy this issue. Isha is definitely annoying at times with his hesitation, but it works for him. Being a well developed character, the reader can easily see how fitting these reactions are for him.

The medical issue seems to be written with a whole lot of knowledge, as well as care and heart. It flows seamlessly into the story and works well in every way. It's always interesting to read about a character with a realistic disability, and this one gave me new things to think about regarding epilepsy.

As always, it's enjoyable to get appearances by former characters, which always endears me to a series. These other men are key parts of these characters' lives and it's fitting to have them around.

The relationship in Jude is a hard fought win, and the epilogue is amazing. Garrett Leigh has once again won over my heart with this series. It's another recommend read by me.

Veering off Course (The Navigation Quartet Book 1) by Chris Cheek

Blurb

Holding and being held by his lifelong friend had felt right, as if he’d come home. Exactly as it had the last time, all those years ago. But he wasn’t a horny, confused teenager any more; he was a married man with two children, and he had responsibilities towards them. He had to focus on that fact.
David and Alan are in their mid-twenties, best friends since junior school in the Yorkshire mill town where they grew up. When Alan left to live in London six years ago, David was left with memories of one night together which he quickly buried. Now married to Mona with two boys, he has a comfortable life with a good job driving buses. He enjoys his work, is well thought of and has prospects of promotion.
Alan meanwhile has built a successful career in advertising, leaving his upbringing far behind. He has a circle of close friends, lives in a fashionable suburb and drives an expensive car. Called back to Yorkshire by an aunt’s illness, he is brought face to face with memories of his childhood and adolescence… and his old friend David.
When David takes a new job driving coaches to London and stays with Alan, the rekindling of their friendship proves to be incendiary. This plunges David into a maelstrom of conflicting emotions about his future, his feelings for Alan, his marriage and his two sons. If marrying Mona was a mistake, can he find the courage to acknowledge the fact and the words to admit it? And would he really fit in to Alan’s new life?
When events intervene, David’s dilemma is resolved in a sudden and unexpected way, and everybody’s lives are altered for ever.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Chris Cheek's Veering Off Course is a lovely second chance romance.

Warning though - If you are one who hates cheating, skip this one.

David and Alan are reunited after six years of silence. Former best friends, one night ruined it all for them. Now, despite David having a wife and two kids, the men find the attraction to still be alive. But even more important, being together just feels right.

Through the use of flashbacks, we learn about their pasts, which is a fantastic way to explain their history together.

Once they decide they are meant to be together, they have some problems, such as David's wife, and his homophobic mother in law. They also have to deal with loss, attraction, memories, and regrets. Their relationship includes secrets and cheating.

The emotions in this tale are off the charts. The two men are clearly soulmates, and feel like home to each other. David being closeted lead to some bad mistakes, and now he has some decisions to make.

Veering Off Course is a great story. It beautifully explores the complications that arise when one veers off course via a big mistake. In general, I don't love the writing style, but the storyline more than makes up for it to me.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Marissa Holt's Southern Brit is a super fun romance.

Flynn and Royal meet when Royal comes to town looking for his brother, Flynn's ex. Flynn doesn't even know where his ex is, but lets Royal stay on his couch. I love this, as it is funny, cute, and leads to a great romance.

Flynn and Royal have strong chemistry, but Flynn has just sworn off sex. This leads to awkward moments, misunderstandings, steamy moments, and more. It's about the strong desire and want. I enjoy the language differences between the American Flynn and the British Royal.

Both men are trying to leave their pasts behind, leading to some fantastic, soul-searching moments. Their friends play a big role in their decision making.

I absolutely enjoyed every moment of Southern Brit. Marissa Holt's He's The One series has quickly grabbed my heart. The characters are interesting and the storylines entertaining. This book can be read as a stand-alone, but you'll enjoy it more if you read the series, as you'll run into some of your favorite characters.

Cash has everything I've come to expect from a Garrett Leigh book. There's depth, fantastic characters, excellent writing and a great plot.

I've never heard of fox hunting, or sabbing, so this aspect of the story is all new to me. That said, the author does a wonderful job of explaining what it is, as well as the dangers and corruption that's involved. It's both fascinating and upsetting, as well as informative.

Cash and Rae are so perfect together. Both are complex characters who have strong opinions. Their relationship is emotional and the chemistry is hot. Their tale consists of risks, actions, danger, and suspense, in addition to their budding relationship.

I love Cash. It's completely riveting and had me hook, line, and sinker. And to make it even better, we get appearances by Dom and Lucky! As usual, Garrett Leigh has created a wonderful romance in which I became completely invested in every feeling and moment.
