Order Up (Bold Brew #5) by Wendy Qualls

Barista Blake Hilliard has sexy secret and a fanbase eager to see more from him. The stars align when he discovers new customer Graham Aldersen is a dead ringer for his best friend--who had to leave town right before they’d planned a special livestream together. Graham isn’t so sure about subbing in for Blake’s regular partner, mask or not, but the chance to play with Blake’s popular online persona is too tempting to ignore. Going live on the internet is out of Graham’s comfort zone but Blake makes the experience eminently worth the risk.

When it becomes apparent that Blake’s partnership with his friend is more business than romantic, Graham finds himself wanting more. More sexy fun, more quiet chats, as much more of Blake as he can get. Blake doesn’t “do” boyfriends, though, and he certainly isn’t the type that straight-laced Graham ever thought he’d fall for. He’d put that life behind him when he bought the cute little house with the white picket fence and the cat--could the two sides of himself ever mix?

Will this mismatched duo be able to order up a happily ever after?

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Order Up is the fifth book in the Bold Brew series. This hot erotic romance is Wendy Quall's contribution to this multi-author small town series.

It all starts with mistaken identity and an awkward confession, that leads to a hot porn scene.

This is a story with a cam show, BSDM, D/s moments, and a great shibari scene. Once again, Bold Brew is a great safe place for the men to have fun.

Things happen quickly for the couple, but it' sweet in the way it evolves. It's a journey towards finding something that makes you happy instead of what's expected.

Written in alternating third person pov, I enjoy the story but it's definitely not my preferred style.

Overall, Order Up is a fun, quick romance. This Wendy Quall romance has a whole lot of heat with some sweet moments in between.

Off Camera by Wendy Qualls

Blurb

Devon Yoshiro may be a famous actor, but he's also a big brother. When his niece turns six and his sister is laid up after surgery, he sticks around town after promoting his new movie at a major scifi convention to help out. He may know nothing about kids, parties, or planning, but how hard can it be?

Max Harrington develops a major crush on the actor he met while volunteering at Con--which is why he's in shock that Devon has chosen HIS little science museum to host a birthday party. And has chosen him for a little stress relief. No point in wanting more...

I love Off Camera from the start. I am always a sucker for romances with famous people, and this Wendy Qualls book definitely had me reading late into the night.

I'm a big fan of conventions, so I was elated that they meet at a convention. I mean really, an actor falling for a convention volunteer? Oh hell yes!

Max and Devon are so freaking hot together. I love their cute flirting and the natural way they gravitate to one another. The reason for Devon staying in town and seeing Max again are enjoyable and relatable.

Their story is one of being closeted in Hollywood. There's some light angst, of course, and there's a whole lot of fun as an actor and a nerd fall in love.

The writing is wonderful, with some delightful characters and a sweet romance between the unlikely couple. They are certainly hot together and the author excels at putting the reader into the character's minds. Devon's angst is easy to understand and superbly illustrated.

I absolutely love this story. Off Camera is a great read which I highly recommend when you're in the mood for an opposites attract romance.

Worth Fighting For (Heart of the South #3) by Wendy Qualls

Blurb

For two gay men in the Deep South, fighting for love and family can lead to one beautiful, sexy, and unexpected knock out . . .

In college, an “are you sure you’re gay?” experiment with his (female) best friend left Sterling Harper married with a baby on the way. Eleven years later, his life is flipped upside-down—his wife has died, his “little boy” is transitioning to her new life as a girl, Alexa, and his embittered in-laws have proven too transphobic to babysit for the summer like they’d planned. They’re fighting for custody of Alexa, though, so Sterling can’t afford to give them more ammunition. If only there were a nice, conservative, trans-preteen-friendly nanny available on short notice . . .

Jericho Johnston doesn’t do “conservative,” but Alexa takes to him immediately. He’s got a teaching job lined up for the fall, a killer smile, and loads of charisma . . . but he is not going back in the proverbial closet. It doesn’t take long for the two men to go from comrades-in-arms against their rarified community to two men in love. This kicks off the looming custody battle with Sterling’s bigoted in-laws, though, and the idea of two gay men raising a trans daughter isn’t going over well with anyone. Now, with so much to lose, Sterling and Jericho must fight harder than ever—for themselves, for Alexa, and for their future.

Worth Fighting For by Wendy Qualls is a beautiful and tender romance.

I am shocked at how much the author manages to pack into this story. Sterling needs to hire someone to care for his transgender daughter. Luckily he finds Jericho who completely understands Alexa and helps her a lot. And luckily for both them, they have a mutual attraction. Their flirting is cute, their explorations are hot, and they definitely complement one another well.

Of course, they also have to deal with bigoted and transphobic in laws, some sad moments for Alexa at school, and a custody fight.

The writing is good, flowing nicely and keeping me interested throughout. The topics discussed are done with a lot of knowledge and understanding, and without any preaching.

I definitely recommend Worth Fighting For to anyone who loves a sweet tale.
