Trust Me Omega (Poppy Field # 9) by Beau Brown

Blurb

Omega Skye Miller dislikes attachments. Playing the field, and moving from town to town is what makes him feel secure. When the alpha he’s casually seeing dies in a tragic accident, and a month later he discovers he’s pregnant, he has little choice other than to turn to his big brother, Cal, for help. Unfortunately, Cal lives in the small town of Poppy Field, and Skye’s not a fan of small towns. But since Skye is pregnant and unclaimed, he has to at least try and put the baby’s needs first.

Alpha Oliver Dahling is a closeted bisexual who also loves playing the field. He’s not ashamed of his sexuality, but he doesn’t relish the razzing his fellow officers would give him if he let them know he’s bisexual. He’s never met anyone who made going through that hassle worth it. Not until he meets Skye.

When the two connect, there are immediate fireworks. Unfortunately, Skye has been burned by confused alphas in the past, and he’s not sure he wants to go down that road again. But the two men are so attracted to each other, they keep falling into bed together, even though they aren’t sure they should.

Their journey toward happy-ever-after is bumpy when misunderstandings, and circumstances beyond their control mess things up. Will Skye allow his painful memories to control him forever, or can he learn to trust Oliver, who still seems to have one foot in the closet?

This is a sweet and sexy, contemporary, non-shifter love story with mpreg and a HEA ending. Though part of the Mpreg Poppy Field Series, this standalone story does not need to be read as part of the series.

In Trust Me, Omega, by Beau Brown, Skye shows up in town to stay with his brother. Pregnant and alone, he needs somewhere to settle down.

Skye
doesn't want to be with a closeted guy, but Oliver is just that. As a bisexual, he keeps his desire to be with a guy from others. As a cop, he knows that some of his co-workers are homophobic. Soon,
Skye becomes Oliver's dirty little secret

Oliver's attracted to pregnant omegas, which I find to be a fun element to their story.

I enjoy the author's writing style, as it has a nice pace and some interesting characters.

Trust Me, Omega is a sweet story where both men mature and change significantly as a result of their relationship. This Beau Brown book is great when you're looking for a simple, easy read.

Good Son: Mpreg Romance (Red Sky, Texas #2) by Beau Brown

Blurb

Omega Piper Gray has spent most of his life running from his problems. He figures the best way to be happy is to avoid emotional entanglements. Have sex. Move on. That’s his recipe for a long and fulfilling life. But when he gets word his estranged mother is dying, he’s pressured by his sister Trina to come home and help out. Since he needs to get out of Los Angeles anyway to avoid getting beat up by one of his lover’s boyfriends, he agrees to come home.

Alpha Sam Peterson is the manager of The Lazy Lemon restaurant and bar. When Piper applies for a job bar-tending there the two men have an immediate and undeniable sexual connection. But Sam is grieving the death of his sister and isn’t usually impulsive the way Piper is. However Piper can be persuasive and the two men give into their lust one night.

Piper figures this little fling with Sam will be the usual love them and leave them scenario. The problem is; Sam isn’t a player and he wants more than just a casual hookup with Piper. Sam isn’t afraid of facing his emotions and working for something real. Piper insists he isn’t interested in staying in town to pursue anything lasting with Sam.

The only problem is; his heart doesn’t seem to agree.

This 58,000 word book is filled with angst, male pregnancy, smexy times and lots of warm fuzzy feelings you'd expect from an mpreg romance from Beau Brown.

Beau Brown's Good Son is a riveting mpreg romance.

Piper returns home to help with his sick mother. He's never wanted to come back, but the timing is good so he decides to return for a little while. The reasons he left are all well explored and believable.

While there, he meets Sam who offers him a job in his bar. Sam's backstory is slowly unveiled, leaving me in tears.

This is story of self-discovery for both men. They have to work through their past pains, as well as commitment issues, jealousy, and a lifetime of fear. It's a beautiful story of learning to love and trust another with one's heart.

The writing is fantastic, with every word having a purpose. The pace is fast, the characters well developed, and the emotions high. The small town is well done, the side characters interesting, and the romance wonderful. Add in just the right amount of angst and it's a story worth reading.

Good Son is a compelling mpreg romance by Beau Brown. I highly recommend it to anyone you enjoys Omegaverse stories. Overall, I am madly in love with the Beau Brown's books and want more!

Shy Boy (Red Sky, Texas Series Book 1) by Beau Brown

Blurb

Omega Kyle Holt has issues. He’s always been quiet and had trouble connecting to people. In high school he confused sex with love. He fooled around a bunch with bi-curious alphas attempting to find a connection. But those guys just wanted to use his body in secret, and pretend they didn’t even know him in real life.

Alpha Cliff Richard’s is a friend of Kyle’s brother. He’s confident, popular, and straight. But when he befriends Kyle, Cliff discovers not only does he like Kyle as a person, he’s having powerful feelings of sexual attraction toward his new buddy.

When Cliff pushes for more than just friendship, Kyle is afraid to cross that line. He’s been down this road too many times and doesn’t want to be used again. But he has such strong feelings for Cliff, he gives in.

Cliff thinks he’s ready to be open about his bisexual feelings, until reality hits. Sometimes the idea of something is more fun than the reality. Especially when you’re in a town full of bigots, and your own family disapproves.

Unfortunately, as Cliff struggles with fear and insecurities, Kyle only sees that as the same rejection he’s faced so many times before.

This 53,000 word story is book one in Beau's new Red Sky, Texas Mpreg Series. It's filled with angst, male pregnancy, smexy times and lots of the warm fuzzy feelings you expect from an Mpreg romance by Beau Brown.

Shy Boy's a wonderfully fun mpreg romance by Beau Brown.

From the start, I feel in love with the pleasant tone, and the adorable Kyle. Falling for his brother's best friend, Kyle fears Cliff's true feelings and getting hurt. Cliff, meanwhile, struggles with his sexuality, which is explored in a heartfelt and entertaining manner. Having always liked girls, his attraction to Kyle is definitely confusing to him.

For Kyle it's a story about the pain of being with a sexually confused man, the pain of being denied, and the pain involved with being a secret. His lack of self confidence is awful, believing he doesn't deserve anything more than a one-off. My heart broke for the man. For Cliff it's a story of the struggle with coming out as bisexual, the fear of telling people, and the struggle of facing coming out to oneself.

Kyle and Cliff are hot together, as the emotions are high, the connection is strong, and there's all sorts of first time fun. They're definitely super hot, super steamy, and super sexy as a couple.

Overall, I highly enjoyed Shy Boy, am completely impressed with Beau Brown's writing, and need to check out his backlist. Shy Boy's a short, fast, and sweet tale of trusting someone with your heart. It's a beautiful, happy story of two men lonely men finding love together.

Beau Brown's A Husband For Christmas is a good Christmas romance.

Jax and Ryder enter a marriage of convenience, both for their own reasons. But, Ryder's looking for love, while Jax isn't. Jax needs an heir, but his ex husband died twenty years ago, leaving him lost in his guilt and grief. His story is touching and extremely emotional.

Along the way, they have to deal with some meddling, but it's super sweet as Jax starts opening his heart again. Their relationship includes romance and is a nice slow-burn. I totally adored this tale.  The danger is easy to figure out, not really a mystery at all, but it doesn't distract from the fun of this story.

I definitely recommend A Husband For Christmas for any fan of mpreg.
