Flipped (Throttled #3) by K. Sterling

Blurb

It’s Roan O’Shea’s world and we’re just here for the ride. And what a ride it is…

After a lifetime of living in fear (and by other people’s rules), Roan’s determined to use his ill-gotten talents and money to turn the quaint, quiet town of Sanctuary Mills into his own little slice of heaven. Living under the alias Flynn Gallagher, Roan is on a mission to undo the evil of his past, and win the hearts of his new neighbors, by spreading his own brand of joy and light. But, just when Roan thinks he’s pulled off the ultimate con, an FBI agent, a murder, and a mystery threaten to expose his past and his intricate web of identities and secrets.

It takes a special breed of criminal, and a massive set of steel-plated testicles, to pull off a Ponzi scheme targeting organized crime’s heaviest hitters. Agent Sherman Mathis has spent months hunting for Cillian McGregor, and every lead has been a dead end. Except Flynn Gallagher. The jet-setting wine enthusiast and blogger is the only victim of McGregor’s baffling scam who isn’t dead, in jail, or slammed a door in Sherman’s face, but he’s not the perfect source our agent was hoping for, once they finally meet. Sherman’s hopes for a lead vanish immediately and he begins to suspect Flynn is hiding something deeper and bigger than McGregor.

A small town like Sanctuary Mills should be child’s play for a master strategist and showman like Roan, but he learns the stakes are higher when his heart starts calling the shots. This time, he’s got his sights set on the ultimate prize and Roan won’t rest until he’s won Sherman’s trust, and his heart. He’s just got to solve a murder, come clean, and flip a Federal Agent.

Flipped is a sequel to Snatched and can be read alone but will contain many Snatched spoilers!

Flipped is another fantastic story by K Sterling. As I've come to expect from this author, the pace is fast, the action is unending, and the romance is sweet.

Roan and Sherman are both fun characters, and together they are sure to keep the reader entertained. Their romance is full of non-stop action, humor and a whole lot of heart, while they deal with danger, secrets, murder, and more. Overall, it's a great story of learning to live again, of finding joy in life.

The way they meet is fun, their attraction is hot, and I just love a silver daddy finding a man with a Daddy fetish. I love the redemption of the bad guy in which the author excels. And damn, I just connect perfectly with the authors sense of humor.

Flipped is fun, riveting, and downright fantastic. K Sterling expertly entwines a kick-ass action tale with a wonderful romance. If you haven't read anything from this author yet, I highly suggest you do soon!

The Boys of Lake Cliff (Boys of Lake Cliff #1-5) by K. Sterling

Blurb

Welcome To Lake Cliff

K. Sterling invites you to Lake Cliff to meet her most beloved heroes in this anthology of her Lake Cliff books.

Detective Lane West doesn't do complicated. Especially when it comes to his personal life. Dr. Aiden Sharp is complicated. Complicated in ways Lane can barely get his mind around when he's forced to babysit Aiden as a favor for the District Attorney. After that, things get very complicated.

Sage Bradley wants to make the world a better place. He's handsome, smart, wealthy, a talented artist and always follows his heart. Unfortunately, someone wants him dead. Fate brings a mysterious man to Sage's door and a romantic night turns into a tangled web of passion and danger.

Can you domesticate an international assassin? Can a criminal be reformed and play well with others?

Happily Ever After doesn't always happen right away or as easily as you might imagine. Lavender must decide how much he's willing to sacrifice for love and if he can make peace with his past.

Despite his hopes, fate isn't ready to let Lane West settle into his own Happily Ever After peacefully. A new threat comes to Lake Cliff and he's forced to team up with his worst nightmare.

K. Sterling's Lake Cliff series is gritty, intense, emotional and at times hysterical. Always sensual, Lake Cliff is K. Sterling at her darkest and dirtiest. If you're already a fan of Lane, Aiden, Sage and Lavender, she's gathered them all for you, so they're right at your fingertips. If you're new to Lake Cliff, you're going to love it here.

This series begins with Aiden and Lane then switches briefly to Sage and Lavender before merging into the Lake Cliff books with all four characters.

K Sterling's The Boys of Lake Cliff is a bundle of books 1 through 5 in the series. From the start, Lake Cliff delights with humor and fun characters.

Aiden's on the spectrum. He's we
ll written as his personality's realistic and adds tremendously to his charm. It's fantastic the way he blurts things out without any filter. I find his bluntness to be refreshing as well as awkward.

Aiden and Lane have instant sexual attraction, and end up as a fantastic couple. I absolutely love and adore them. Later on we meet Lavender and Sage, getting to see their romance bloom. It's actually a super fun and unique meet que, and they're wonderful together. The connection each couple experiences is powerful, leading to some emotional scenes.

Of course, even better yet is when the two couples cross paths. It's fun, entertaining as can be, and adds so much to the series' charms.

As a culmination of several books, there is clearly a lot happening. I'm purposely going to be evasive and just recommend reading this bundle. It's full of action, danger, humor, sex, and romance. I found it to be intense and entertaining, hot and super steamy.

Snatched by K. Sterling

Blurb

The fall of a powerful gangster is just the beginning…

It was just another crime scene and just another body as a turf war gripped the city but things take a shocking turn when Dr. Jake Tyler is abducted and the body stolen. Determined to restore his reputation and solve a crime without a body, Jake risks his life and career when he battles wits with the elusive and merciless head of an Irish crime family. Too stubborn to back down and take the loss, he’s determined to get answers and see justice served.

Sometimes, too much power is the hardest curse to break and Dilan O’Shea is trapped when his father goes into witness protection. Dilan’s devotion to his baby brother and fear for his family forces him into a life of deception and crime. The murder he’s determined to hide is the least dangerous of his secrets. It’s just another piece of the deadly high-stakes game Dilan’s playing when he snatches the snarky, hardheaded medical examiner.

Jake can’t keep his mind off the brutal mobster and the investigation gets complicated when they can’t stay out of each other’s way or keep their hands off each other. Dilan gets more than he bargained for and he has no choice but to trust a man he kidnapped at gunpoint. Can two men from opposite sides of the law solve a mystery together or will their inescapable passion cost them everything?

This is a stand-alone title but features characters from Throttled.

K Sterling's Snatched is a great suspense/thriller. It's riveting and compelling, keeping me intrigued throughout. Heck, it starts with an action scene that drew me into this crazy mix of murder and crime families immediately.

Dilon and Jake are absolutely amazing together. Two men who shouldn't be together, they definitely belong together. The way they meet is great, as Dilon steals one of Jake's dead bodies. Yes, you read that right. Jake is a coroner. It doesn't get much more unique than that. As the two spend time together, trying to figure out who the bad guy is, they fall in love quite quickly.

It's refreshing as this is the first time either has kissed a man, and they both do so with someone they shouldn't be involved with at all. They are hot together as they explore this new attraction.

Their relationship involves a whole lot of action and danger, as they deal with rivals, crime families, and a whole lot of lies, betrayal and manipulation.

I am beyond impressed with how seamlessly K Sterling's able to make us fall in love with a murderer. Dilon's so damn lovable in the end, despite his past. We start learning about his history early on, allowing us to get glimpses at what made him into the bad guy that he is. And, holy hell, a murderer who we can fall in love with, who's romantic side jumps off the pages, is as good as it gets.

Overall, K Sterling's writing is fluid, has well developed characters and non-stop entertainment. She excels in her sharp writing and her flawless delivery.

The end is fantastic, the whole idea of Dilon ending up where he does is just phenomenal and a whole lot of fun. Dilon's a great character, as he's a tough mob guy who loves and protects fiercely.

Snatched is an amazing action romance, that spares no punches, with an impeccable pace. I can't wait for the next book in the series, which I can only hope involves Dilon's brother Roan.

One Night In Whisper... by K. Sterling

Blurb

Welcome to Whisper, Virginia. Population: 2. At least, that’s how it feels after Beck Night’s mother, Maggie, passes away. Despite his best efforts, he can’t seem to escape and disentangle his life from Magnus Deacon, his mother’s sexy former boss. Beck isn’t a fan of the bachelor billionaire extraordinaire, unlike the rest of Whisper. After a lifetime of being forgotten and lost in the shuffle as Deacon and Maggie achieved greatness, Beck just wants to get on with his life and save the town’s dying library. Fate and his best friend, Delilah, seem to have other plans for Beck and he’s coerced into working for a man he can’t stand. Or keep his hands off of.

Deacon would have been a wealthy and powerful man even if he hadn’t been born a billionaire and blessed with every possible advantage. Fortunately for Deacon, he was born with every advantage and knows he was extremely blessed. He’s never lost sight of that fact or that he wouldn’t be the man he was if it weren’t for the town of Whisper and Maggie Night. After Deacon loses Maggie to cancer, he turns to Whisper and her adorably cranky son, Beck, for help picking up the pieces. Determined to win Beck's forgiveness and trust, Deacon finds he won’t be satisfied until he’s got Beck’s body and his heart too.

Whisper’s just like any other small town in America. There’s a story behind every smile and secrets are hard to come by. How about a story that starts with two lost, heartbroken men with almost nothing in common, except loving the same woman? Can they find their way to each other and a lifetime of love? In a small town like Whisper, chances are very good

K Sterling's One Night In Whisper... is a wonderful book; one that will deliver all the feels.

Beck is a strong character who won't take shit from anyone. It's fun to see him controlling the Billionaire Deacon. Of course, he's resented Deacon for his whole life. This storyline is absolutely gut-wrenching at times. And it's also such a wonderful concept, that is superbly handled.

It's also funny and you'll find yourself laughing with Beck and his friend a lot. It's full of snark and laughs, as well as tender moments. And once the men get together, the chemistry can be felt in spades.

I love One Night In Whisper... and highly recommend it. It's a fantastic May to December romance. It's an accomplished tale that will have you feeling all the feels. I can't praise this story enough.

Happily Ever Alfie by K. Sterling

Blurb

Happily Ever After can seem so far away. Especially when life kicks you every time you're down. Alfie Stanford was a master of fairytales and happy endings but his own story was one sad twist after another. He didn't have time for true love and he was too tired to dance at midnight, he had four younger siblings to raise.

Happily Ever After doesn't happen for everyone. Sometimes, you miss your chance while you're serving your country. Jack Church gave more than thirty years of his life to the Army and believed it was too late for him to be some man's Prince Charming.

Sometimes, a little girl and a very special quilt are all it takes for something very magical to happen... Sometimes, there's robots.

Happily Ever Alfie is a charming, feel-good romance by K Sterling.

When Alfie meets Jack at the library, neither expect them to develop a relationship. Alfie's busy raising his young step-siblings. The term organized chaos perfectly explains his life. Jack, newly retired from the Army, has never been able to be out before. When Jack starts helping out around Alfie's house, the sparks start to fly.

This story is just beautiful, full of the importance of family, as well as love. Alfie's sacrifices are amazing and inspiring. And the way Jack steps in to help is heroic and exquisite. These are two men are so damn lovable! And they expertly demonstrate the strength that one gains with love.

Their story is full of kid chaos, kid fun, and more. It's  low angst, with a whole lot of enchanting moments.

It's a fairly short story, but it packs a whole lot into it's 106 pages. I am elated to have found this book.
