Betting on His BF (Nerds vs Jocks #4) by Eli Easton & Tara Lain

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Big Bet. Big Trouble. Big Love.

When Felix the Quiz Bowl Champion reveals other oversized assets besides his brain, it takes PJ, the super-wheeler-dealer, to wangle maximum profits from it—in bets, wet jock strap contests, and Wang of the Week.

But winning money turns out to be second to falling in lust, and sexual escapades replace time at the poker tables as the number-one activity of their wicked week in Vegas.

Still, accepting the hospitality of PJ’s father’s client, the mobster Joey Oretano, proves a nearly fatal money-saving scheme, and brings Felix and PJ face-to-face with the serious side of life.
Very. Serious.

Will someone take the chance to be a hero?
Or will someone wind up dead?

BETTING ON HIS BF is a friends-to-lovers, bisexual awakening, what-happens-in-Vegas-can-win-you-money, dash-of-suspense, MM romance—with large assets.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Betting on His BF is the fourth book in the Nerds vs Jocks series. This Eli Easton and Tara Lain book is easily read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed if read in order.

I have to start by stating that I mostly love this book. There are definitely plenty of Vegas moments that I am not a fan of. It's all entertaining, and adds some suspense, but it just isn't for me.

But the relationship is awesome. I love these two together. I love the sexual awakening. And I love the banter and humor throughout.

This is a story with Vegas antics, a man who loves to make a sure bet, and a man with a large package.

The writing is great, which is no surprise. The characters are great, but part of their storyline was just okay to me.

Betting on His BF is an easy, humorous romance. If you want to laugh, you will enjoy it.

Getting Friendly eBook

A Never Just Friends Novel, Book 3

LEON
When I’m looking for a hook up, I want three things:
Big, thick, and rough.
So it doesn’t make sense that I can't get my new hire out of my head.
He's a tiny guy with big ideas ... and he's my apprentice which means he's completely off limits.
But he’s already under my skin.
And for the first time with any guy, I don’t think I can hold my own against him.
Physically, yes. Emotionally, no.
Auggie makes me weak.

AUGGIE
Growing up, I always wanted to go into the family business and follow in Dad’s footsteps.
Until in my senior year of high school when he told me to find a new dream.
No one would let a small, clumsy guy like me on a construction site.
And after trying and failing for years, I was starting to believe him.
Then LJ Constructions calls me for an interview and when I meet Leon, he becomes my new dream.
He's hot as hell, self made, and instead of putting me down, he sees what I’ve always seen in myself.
But I’m not dumb enough to throw away this one chance at my dream job, not even for him.
Not even if I really, really want to.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Getting Friendly, the third book in the Never Just Friends series, is absolutely fantastic. Oh, how I love this boss/employee book. You can't go wrong with this Saxon James read, which is no surprise as this series is simply fabulous.

Leon hires Auggie to be his apprentice, causing some issues for the men. First, the attraction between them is strong. Second, Auggie's father doesn't want Leon to hire his son. Third, Auggie isn't quite the most trusted in his job.

Omg, some of his mishaps are hilarious, but poor Auggie. He's such a lovable character and his workplace antics are so well written, with the reader able to picture it all.

I love how everything evolves for these men. The feelings develop naturally and they each stand by one another completely.

And Leon. Leon's so hardened to love, until he falls for Auggie. I adore that Auggie is able to slip his way past Leon's walls. And man, does he ever. Leon obviously sees something special in Auggie from the start.

Auggie's issues with his father are a large part of this story. Hell, his father is the reason the two end up working together at all. And everything that follows makes me love Auggie even more.

And then comes the sex. The author gifts Auggie with a special gift, as he's well endowed. With so many having been intimidated by his size, it's fabulous that Leon wants him to top. This is definitely a wonderful aspect of their journey.

Everything about this book works for me. I love the author's writing style. Written in alternating first person pov, both men are easy to understand and fall in love with. It's easy to root for these two. There are also plenty of secondary characters who contribute to the storyline.

Getting Friendly is a riveting and all consuming read. I love every minute of this Saxon James romance. I love it all, as it's a great blend of sweetness, romance, and heat.

Auggie flags down the bartender as I slide into the free stool and turn my attention to the man sitting next to me. He’s all big eyes and flushed cheeks, and when he turns his overeager attention back on me, I immediately soften toward him.

“You okay after today?” I find myself asking. I’d been prepared to ignore what happened, but I genuinely want to know.

His stare drops to the bar top. “Yeah, just one of those things, right?”

My bullshit sensors are in overload again. “Right.”

“Besides, plenty more fish in the sea …”

“I think that refers to dating.”

“Don’t see why it can’t apply here.”

Okay, he’s got me there. “True.”

When the drinks arrive, he nudges mine toward me and props his chin in his hand. “Did I stain your floor?”

“Nah. Nothing a little sanding won’t fix. Seriously, don’t worry about it.”

He watches me for a moment. “Since I’ll probably never see you again after tonight, can I tell you something?”

“Shoot.”

“I’m a total screwup,” he says on a sigh. “That’s why Dad won’t hire me and why I don’t have any references. The few places who have hired me haven’t kept me around for long, and none of them are anyone I want a potential employer talking to.”

“I kinda got the, ah, clumsy impression.”

“What could have given you that idea?” His tone is flat, even as he looks mortified.

I can’t help it—I start to laugh. “Is that how all your interviews go?”

“Only the good ones.”

“Poor Auggie.”

For some reason, the disappointment on his face melts away. “I know, feel sorry for me.”

“Nah, something tells me you’ll be okay.”

“Well, you were literally my last hope, so I’ll have to be okay doing something else with my life.”

“Oh yeah, like what?”

“Maybe I’ll take up sculpting. And be a, umm, sculp…tist?”

“I think they’re called artists.”

“Are they?”

I snort. “I don’t know. But you should probably figure it out before you print business cards.”

“I guess it’s back to the drawing board.”

I sip my drink quietly for a moment. “What do you want in a job?”

“Something physical, or at least varied. My attention span is way too short for sitting at a desk all day. Preferably outdoors.”

“What about … fisherman?”

“Gross.”

“Sports coach?”

“As well as clumsy, I’m exceptionally uncoordinated. Next!”

“Umm … miner? Logger?”

“You’re terrible at this.”

“Remind me which of us has a job.” I keep my voice kind so I don’t bring him down again.

Auggie orders two shots, and I’m not about to turn down free Jäger. We both throw them back, and I watch Auggie cringe through his.

“It’s no use. At this point, I should cut my losses and go into porn.”

I choke on my drink because that’s the last thing I was expecting an innocent-looking guy like Auggie to say. His eyes are starting to look a bit glassy and unfocused though, so I guess the alcohol is talking. “There’s a market for everything, I suppose.”

“Hey!” He gives me a little nudge. “I’ll have you know I’m quite confident in what I have.”

And even if Auggie isn’t my type, I’m red-blooded enough to recognize he’s sexy as hell in a twink kinda way. “Send me your OnlyFans and I’ll show my support.”

“Why?” He leans a little closer and wets his pink bottom lip. “I could give you a free show tonight.”

Slow Hand (Perfect Hands #4) by Nora Phoenix

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

Ford never wanted to be a Daddy. So how did he end up with not one, but two boys who need one…?

Master Ford loves his life. He’s respected in his club, has his choice of boys to play with, and is happy staying single.

When the club owner asks him to take in two abused boys, Ford reluctantly agrees. But when one doesn’t even talk, and the other is a bundle of hostility, Ford wonders if he’s in over his head.

It takes a long time to win their trust, as the abuse they suffered is worse than Ford could’ve imagined. But when he discovers that Thierry is a little and that Jathan needs a firm Daddy, Ford questions if he can be what both his boys need. And where do his own needs fit into this?

Slow Hand is the fourth book in the Perfect Hands series. It can be read as a standalone but may be more fun if you’ve read the previous books. It’s a 108k word slow burn MMM romance with two hurting boys, a man who discovers new sides to himself, and one very happy end. It features daddy care including age play.

My Rating -  5 Stars!

Nora Phoenix's Slow Hand is a great BDSM read. The fourth book in the Perfect Hands series, it is easily read as a standalone.

This is a book full of emotion, want, and a whole lot of self searching. I'm impressed with the layers in this developing menage romance.

Ford agrees to care for two broken men, who aren't the subs they think they are. What follows is an emotional journey for each man. Not only do they need to learn to read the others, but also figure out their own needs.

Omg, Thierry and Jathan's backstory is heart-wrenching. These are two men who I just want to take home and care for myself. I want to be the mother they need.

Their story includes some fascinating kink, including age play, with different age regressions, diaper play, and Daddy kink. Ford has never been interested in Daddy kink, but it ends up that this is what each boy needs from him. Most impressive is the way Ford deals with the fear in each boy. His work with each of them, individually and together, is impressive. Always a dom, but never a Daddy, he excels in figuring out what each of them needs.

This is a story of learning to understand oneself, and how oneself relates to others. It's a story with heart to hearts, self inspections, and taking chances.

It's no surprise that I love the author's writing style, as I've loved this whole series. She excels in combining heart-felt characters and a multi-layered storyline. The BDSM is very light, focusing on the Daddy kink and age play, rather than D/s.

Slow Hand is a beautiful Daddy romance, times two! Do yourself a favor and read this book next time you're looking for an intriguing polyamorous read. You won't be disappointed by the life changing journey of these three men.

RELEASE BLITZ & REVIEW- Adam Only (Those Other Books #2) by Roe Horvat

Length: 39,000 words

Cover Design: Roe Horvat

Publisher: Beaten Track Publishing

Those Other Books

The Other Book - Amazon US | Amazon UK | Universal Link

Blurb

On stage, Adam lets his passion drive him. All his secret desires, everything nasty, dirty, and beautiful flows freely through him, for once in harmony. His soul thrives when his body moves, but only on stage. Adam’s passionate nature makes him a great dancer…and a failure at life. He’s a lonely, emotional mess. Going home with a man far out of his reach is the last thing Adam should do. Christoffer represents everything Adam isn’t: strong, independent, educated, and rich. His kind eyes, at odds with his brutish form, make Adam’s knees and restraint buckle.

Once Christoffer sees Adam dancing, he’s lost. The young man is mesmerizing, otherworldly, and unpredictable. Whatever might happen between them, it will be transient, and Christoffer will most likely get hurt. The temptation is too great, however, and the sex explosive. He might as well enjoy every moment he’s given, even if it’s just one day, maybe two. If Christoffer treads carefully, Adam might stay until Monday.

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Adam Only is an excellent second book in Roe Horvat's Those Other Books series. After meeting Adam and Christoffer in The Other Book, we now are treated to Adam's story.

There's instant sexual tension between Adam and Christoffer, but being together isn't going to be easy. Not only are they in different points in their lives, they also come from different worlds. Christopher's an older bear and Adam's a dancer who's got a large cock. After a one night stand, and some fear of rejection, things feels different, more important than usual. Suddenly it's a one night stand that last longer than usual.

"If I die of too much sex, it'll be all your fault." Christoffer said.

Adam's a broken boy, and Christoffer is an older man who just might be able to help him heal. Adam's background left me gutted, so be warned it's not an easy read.

Their interactions are easy and natural, making for an enjoyable read. Their story includes some humiliation and loneliness, as well as insecurities, doubts, and fears. And fortunately for the reader, they're super hot together and their steamy times include some fun flexibility, as well as intense want and need.

An insta-love romance, Adam Only is a delightful mix of romance, lust, passion, and healing. Adam's such an enigma, and it's beautiful that Christoffer can give him what he wants, as well as what he needs to fell safe and secure. I love this book.

Excerpt

He didn’t have a clue what he was doing. Why was he still here? He should leave. Now.

The house was far away from any main roads, but he could walk for a bit and then get a taxi to the nearest train station back to the city. Maybe there was a bus stop somewhere close. His thoughts sharpened—the jerking off, swim, and caffeine had cleared his brain. Determined not to waste more time daydreaming about wealthy bears who never gave a damn, he finished his coffee. He’d need to sneak back to the bathroom to get his clothes. And his phone. He shouldn’t have lingered.

He found which cabinet door in the kitchen hid the built-in dishwasher and placed the cup inside. Then he climbed the stairs on tiptoes and peeked into the bedroom. Christoffer slept on his back, snoring softly.

Adam spotted his phone on the nightstand. Christoffer must have put it on charge after Adam had fallen asleep. He wouldn’t dwell on how considerate that was. He snatched up the phone and closed himself in the bathroom.

Eying the red thong with disgust, he threw it in the trash. What had he been thinking? He dragged the jeans up his naked body, pulled on his socks and slid into the T-shirt. His jacket was downstairs. He opened the door carefully, ready to bolt without looking at the sleeping man.

Except Christoffer was now sitting on the edge of the bed, naked, staring up at Adam with sleepy eyes.

Shit.

“Hi,” Christoffer murmured. His eyes slid up and down Adam’s body, noticing the clothes. His smile turned cautious.

“Hi.” Adam shifted from foot to foot. What now?

The moment dragged on until Adam’s heart was pounding. He needed to say something, quick, and get out of there before it could get any more awkward.

“I…” he began but closed his mouth again. He couldn’t decipher Christoffer’s expression. And all that skin on display was distracting.

Christoffer braced his hands on his knees and inhaled deeply, his Goliathan shoulders lifting. “You like eggs?”

“What?”

“For breakfast.”

“Yeah,” Adam blurted before he thought of the implications. He was staying for breakfast? He wanted to. Stupid! He absolutely shouldn’t! Seeing Christoffer now, those gentle gray eyes such a contrast to his brutish form, Adam ached to stay. You stupid, horny, clingy asshole. Get out of here!

He opened his mouth to say something else, to apologize and whisper goodbye, but Christoffer was faster.

“Good. Wait for me in the kitchen. I just need to…” He gestured to the bathroom door behind Adam’s back.

“Oh. Sure.”

Adam stepped aside, quivering, and the big man stood in all his naked glory. He bent down and kissed Adam’s cheek, lingering, his breath hot by Adam’s ear. Then he disappeared into the bathroom. “I’ll be just a minute,” he threw over his shoulder before the door snapped shut.

Adam stood there, stunned, and touched his tingling cheek.

Rough Terrain (Out of Uniform #7) by Annabeth Albert

Blurb

The camping trip from hell may be the first stop on the road to happily-ever-after.

Navy SEAL Renzo Bianchi has a soft spot for Canaan Finley, and not only because the man makes a mean smoothie. He’s the first guy to get Renzo’s motor revving in a long time. But when he agrees to Canaan’s insane charade—one all-access fake boyfriend, coming right up—he never expects more than a fling.

Creating a hot Italian SEAL boyfriend to save face seemed like a good idea…until his friends called Canaan’s bluff. Now he’s setting off into the woods with the very man who inspired his deception, and Canaan is not the outdoorsy type. The sparks are already flying when a flash flood separates them from their group, leaving Renzo and Canaan very much trapped…very much alone in the wilderness.

Working together to come up with a plan for survival is sexier than either of them expects. But back in the real world, being a couple is bringing its own set of hazards…

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Rough Terrain, the 7th book in Annabeth Albert's Out Of Uniform series, is everything I was hoping it would be.

Renzo and Canaan's story is a whole lot of fun. It's full of action, some danger, and some steamy moments.

Renzo's a great character, a Navy Seal who's weighed down by expectations and guilt from his family. He's out as bi, but his options have long been limited. Canaan, an employee at the military smoothie café, cares for his grandfather, and is in school to be a nurse. And he's long had a crush on Renzo.

When the two men become fake boyfriends and go on a camping trip with Canaan's old bandmates, their relationship starts changing. Their adventure includes some eye opening moments for Canaan about his old friends, getting trapped, and some flirting.

One of my favorite parts of their story is the complication with Renzo being extremely well endowed. I love this. There are serious moments, funny moments, and some amazing frotting. I know many tend to enjoy this type of problem in their books, and the way this one is handled won't disappoint.

Another wonderful part is Canaan's grandfather, as he adds a lot to the story. As for Renzo, well, his brother's story will have your tearing up. His brother and his hero worship of Renzo is heart-breaking.

I am a huge fan of Annabeth Albert's Out of Uniform series and Rough Terrain is the perfect addition. The writing is fantastic, the men deep and loving, and the  plot's entertaining.

No Limits (No Shame Series Book 2) by Nora Phoenix

Amazon

Blurb

Josh is convinced he’ll never find someone who’ll love him the way he is. He’s not exactly a catch with his PTSD and the submissive tendency he recently discovered and is dying to explore. His complicated relationship with Noah and Indy doesn’t make it easy, either. When Connor shows interest in him, he can’t believe the sexy cop would look at him twice, let alone make an effort to get to know him. When he does, Josh discovers they have more in common than he’d ever thought possible.

Connor had survived the ordeal that left his best friend and fellow Marine dead, but that survival came at a price. He’s a robot, going through the motions, but barely alive. Until fate intervenes and he meets Josh. The vulnerable man triggers all kinds of protective and dominant urges in Connor, but what would a cute guy like Josh want with an inexperienced, closed-off, bossy steamroller like him?

When Connor discovers his past endangers Indy, all hope for a future between him and Josh seems lost. After all, there’s no way Josh will ever choose Connor over Indy’s safety and Noah’s lifelong friendship. When a crisis hits, can Connor prove he’s strong enough to deal with everything that’s thrown his way?

No Limits is a steamy gay MM romance with a polyamorous relationship (no cheating) and mild BDSM elements that ends on a cliffhanger. It’s the second book in the No Shame Series and continues the story from the previous book, so it's not a stand alone novel. Please note the trigger warnings in the front of the book.

REVIEW
My Rating - 5 Stars!

I am pleasantly surprised that this book not only continued Indie and Noah's relationship, but also includes the beginning of Connor and Josh's relationship. There are many small stories happening at once and they are all excellently written and developed.

One of Josh's big hang-ups is that he likes rough sex, as he is greatly ashamed by this. Connor believes he will never find a man because he cock is just too big and intimidating.  They aren't sure if they can work physically, but they are certainly attracted to each other.

In the end, they will find that they can each help the other. Josh is naturally submissive and Connor knows how to dominate him, which makes for some hot sex scenes. And Josh will help Connor to know what it's like to feel loved.

Indie and Noah each have their own issues going on. Indie is still scared that his ex abuser will find out and hurt these men he has come to love. And Noah is still having a lot of problems with his prostetic leg.

No Limits is a fantastic follow up to Book 1. It is fast paced, is constantly expanding on past issues while moving ahead to new ones, and it will keep you reading until the late hours of the night.
