Inevitable by Briar Prescott

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

The three of us were never impossible. We were always inevitable.

When Drew meets Ezra, he doesn’t expect much. A one-night stand and a quick goodbye in the morning. That’s how these things usually go. Only there’s nothing usual about Ezra and the connection that forms between them.

When Ezra meets Drew, he doesn’t expect much. A distraction and parting as strangers after a night of meaningless fun. That’s how these things usually go. Only there’s nothing meaningless about Drew and the relentless spark between them that just refuses to disappear.

When Bas meets Ezra… things get complicated. As if being hopelessly in love with his best friend isn't painful enough. Throw in an unexpected friendship that develops with the one-time hookup of said best friend, and the results are messy at best.

But sometimes beautiful things emerge from messy and complicated beginnings, and where two isn't enough, three might be just perfect.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Briar Prescott has once again left me stunned. Inevitable is an amazing menage romance with all the feels.

Holy crap, I love this book!

It takes a while to get to the good stuff, but omg, the good stuff is so damn good.

Bas, Drew, and Ezra are absolutely beautiful together. Their story is one with complex characters and a multi-layered storyline. The author excels in bringing them all to life, and taking the readers on a wonderful journey with them.

The complex nature of the relationship between Drew and Bas is well detailed. They're two men who clearly love one another, but aren't together. Until Ezra. Until they both fall for Ezra and he mends the fractured part of their relationship.

The way that Ezra enters their lives sets the scene for the relationship between Bas and Drew, as well as the gigantic heart that Bas has. Good god, you just have to love Bas.

The asexuality of Bas is amazingly well done. I love the emotions his sexuality causes, and the pain it causes.

And then there's Ezra. Poor sweet Ezra. He's lived life on his own, always struggling to make his way in this world that doesn't help him at all. Until Bas and Drew.

Oh god, everything about these three men is beautiful. The romance is tender, hard fought, and healing. They are three men who can't be together without the other. Each adds a special aspect to their relationship. Their love is strong, but their obstacles are strong too.

Inevitable is sweet and tender, as well as heartbreaking and complicated.
I love everything about this Briar Prescott story. I love the way the men come together and add so much to each other's lives and hearts. It's truly a wonderful hurt/comfort romance.

The Happy List (Better With You #1) by Briar Prescott

Gray
There are some things I excel at:
- Exercising rigid control over every aspect of my life
- Making sensible decisions at every turn
- Being organized, predictable and responsible to an abnormal degree
In short, I’m boring as hell and in desperate need of a change.
Luckily I have my best friend by my side and a newly written to-do list to guide my way through the murky waters of finding happiness.
It’s all very promising at first, but as weeks pass, I start to realize that the best part of my day has always been Kai.
And when I see him out on a date with some guy?
Let’s just say I’m definitely not happy about it.

Kai
I’m back in Boston after ten years of traveling, and I’ve fulfilled all my goals:
- See the world
- Figure out what to do with my life
- Get over my impossible crush on Gray
Check, check and check.
Life’s good until I accidentally find Gray’s happy list, which contains some very interesting things that friends never ever do with each other.
And as weeks pass, it becomes clear those not-so-innocent parts are the ones Gray is determined to explore with me.
In short, I’m screwed because no matter how hard I try, I can’t resist him, and pretty soon I'm forced to admit that I’m not as done with my crush as I thought I was...

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Briar Prescott's The Happy List is the first book in the Better With You series. And I love it all!

Gray and Kai's story is completely feel-good and sweet, full of delightful snark and banter.

It all starts with an unwanted proposal, as Grey runs out on his now ex-girlfriend. Luckily for him, his best friend Kai is there to help him get away.

Both men have some issues to deal with in their lives. Gray's a workaholic, who doesn't take any time to smell the roses. His need for control is going to put him in an early grave. And his life is a never ending cycle of boredom. And Kai's returning home after years away, hoping to get over his long time crush on his best friend.

I love these men. As friends. And as lovers. Their bromance is awesome, but their romance is even better.

Their story is wonderful, as things slowly develop into more for the men. But the best is Gray's sexual awakening. The man seriously has no clue. My favorite line is "Wake up and smell the feelings, Gray, because you've caught some." This sums up Gray perfectly.

But it's more than a sexual awakening for the man. Gray also has a long journey towards figuring out what he wants from life in general. His dealings with his brother are well done, with lots of frustration, anger, and more.

As for the title, well, that sums up what ultimately brings the men together. Gray creates a "Happy List" of things to do to break his dull routine. Kai is there to help him along the way, and things don't go the way either man expect.

In the end, this is a story of Gray and his life awakening. It's his journey of figuring out that life can be good, happy, and not boring at all. Basically, if you're looking for character growth, you will enjoy Gray's tale.

Written in alternating 1st person pov, both men fully come alive, and their storyline is delightful. The emotions are plentiful for these men and I couldn't have asked for more.

The Happy List is a fantastic tale of sexual awakening. And oh dear god, the ending is perfect. This Briar Prescott book is well worth a read the next time you're in the mood for a sweet friends to lovers romance. I'm excited to see what happens next in the series.

One summer changes their lives forever…

Alex Ellison is well-educated, rich and good-looking. Too bad the ingredients of success haven’t mixed too well for him and instead of having the world at his feet, Alex has, once again, landed himself in a hot mess of trouble.
The community service his father arranges for him in a wildlife center on the other side of the country comes as a bit of a nasty surprise, though. Being shipped off to middle-of-nowhere, Oregon, is not Alex’s idea of the perfect summer vacation.

What Alex never expects is to meet Noah Price.
He never expects to be noticed and understood.
He never expects to feel valued and special.
He never expects to fall in love.
Everything is not what it seems, though, and love that feels invincible turns out to be anything but.

But love finds a way, and when Alex and Noah unexpectedly cross paths years later, they will have to risk it all for the love they both deserve and so desperately need.

Rare is a standalone MM Second Chance romance about first loves, one perfect summer, one debilitating secret and finding your forever.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Rare is a magnificent book by Briar Prescott.

Dear lord, the author drags these two men through hell at times. If you like angst, you will enjoy this book. That said, there are some twists and turns I didn't love.

The medical issue is one that left me questioning it's validity. But I made myself stop thinking about it and just go with it. No clue if it's realistic or not, but assuming it is makes for a heart-breaking read.

This is a story that will remind you that happiness is fleeting and that life is fragile.  The author excels in developing these complex characters and their long harrowing journey.

As for the heart of the story, the author deals with extremely upsetting issues about blood donation. It's something anyone in the gay community has had to deal with, and it's angering as hell. I enjoy the way the author handles this issue and explores the changes needed.

Rare is a gripping story that held me captive throughout. This Briar Prescott memorable tale is a one sitting kind of story. And oh how I love the ending.

Project Hero by Briar Prescott

Blurb

What if you accidentally fell in love with the right guy?

Andy:
If my life was a movie, I would be the sidekick. Not an especially promising start when my plan is to finally let my best friend know I have a crush on him. No worries, though. I have a plan. I just need a complete makeover. Change everything about myself so that when Falcon returns from his summer vacation, he can finally see I’m the love of his life. I totally know what I’m doing here.
Well, not really.
If I knew what I was doing, I wouldn’t look like every nerd cliché wrapped into one awkward package.
In short, I’m screwed.
But then Law Anderson enters the picture…

Law:
It’s all very simple. I need somebody to tutor my hockey team, and Andy needs somebody to help him with his crush. Sounds like a match made in heaven.
Only the more time I spend with Andy, the more I like this quirky guy who makes me laugh, and pretty soon I’m the one who’s tutoring Andy in way more than we initially agreed upon.
It’s fine.
I have it all under control.
But as weeks pass and the chemistry between us turns explosive, I’m starting to think that I might be in way over my head with Andy.
If only I could make Andy realize that he doesn’t need to change himself for love. If only I could make Andy see that he just needs to be with somebody who has considered him perfect all along…

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Briar Prescott's Project Hero is an absolutely adorable and enjoyable book.

Andy and Law are two men who are on the outside, always the sidekick in one way or another. With the help of one another, they both realize they are more than just a sidekick.

Andy won my heart quickly, as he's adorably quirky, odd, and serious. His rumblings and outbursts are hysterical. He thinks he's un-remarkable, yet he truly is remarkable. Then there's Law, who is just so darn sweet and tender, as well as determined.

These are two men who are lovable and their story is enchanting. They are complete opposites. Their upbringings, their social status, and their family relationships are all vastly different.

Overall, this is a story of falling for the guy who's helping you try to impress someone else. Andy's always been in love with his best friend, and Law sets out to help him impress that friend, in exchange for Andy tutoring Law's hockey players.

This is a story of two men falling in love without ever realizing it. I enjoy the slow burn aspect of this tale. The little looks and the little ways that love develops over little everyday things.

Don't ask me to pick a favorite part or favorite aspect of this story. Is it the way Law sets out to help Andy? Is it the way that Law excels in understanding and helping Andy? Is it Andy's growth throughout this whole process? If I had to choose, I'd say it's all of these and more. Hell, I am in awe of the way Law dealt with his set-back.

Told in alternating first person pov, the reader is easily pulled into every feeling. Holy crap, the emotions!  The longing, the doubts, the pain, and the love, all jump off the pages. The writing as a whole is extremely impressive for a debut novel and the title is wonderful.

Project Hero is a wonderful friends to lovers romance. I love every damn second of it and I can't wait to read it again. This is perfect when you're in the mood for a light, fluffy new adult read.
