Life In Union (Summit City #3) by Ethan Day

Blurb

Over the past eight months, aspiring author Boone Daniels has seen his entire life turned upside down and inside out. Having survived a recent auto-accident and an impromptu proposal of marriage from his one-night-stand-turned-boyfriend, Wade Walker, Boone has finally moved to Summit City to begin a whole new chapter.

Having adapted to several big life-changes within a relatively short window of time, Boone has embraced the idea of spending the rest of his ‘forever’ with the man he loves. However, he quickly recognizes that it takes more than finding true love and relocating to make a house feel like a home.

As Boone and Wade merge their separate lives into a life in union, they’ll struggle to strike a balance between ‘the me’ and ‘the we’. With patience and perseverance, they’ll eventually say their I Do’s and get that happily-ever-after…after all.

Ethan Day is back to his Summit City series with Life In Union. And he has excelled with continuing the wonderful feel and humor.

This series slays me. The banter and snark are superb. The one liners are too many to count. I laughed out loud many, many times. I am completely smitten with these men and wish they were real. I absolutely want to be friends with them.

Seriously, who yells to their family that they are off to butt fuck? OMG! Seriously the funniest! I love that Ethan Day manages to create these amazing characters, who are so damn close to one another, but are also able to say anything.

And, omg, the Halloween scenes are epic.

Don't get me wrong, included among all the laughs are some serious topics and moments. The men have to deal with some obstacles, some differences in opinion and more. Some of these moments are very emotional.

It's crazy, it's fun, and I know this is the type of book I could read every day. It's the perfect feel good story and I'll definitely be re-reading this series many times.

Thank you Ethan Day for Life In Union and the entire Summit City series. I hope there's a lot more to come.

Life In Fusion (Summit City Book 2) by Ethan Day

Blurb

Aspiring author, Boone Daniels, always figured love would be as easy as he was. Fresh off a whirlwind winter-vacation romance with ski-god and would-be boyfriend, Wade Walker - Boone was certain that saying goodbye would be the hardest part.

He'd survived the unconventional way in which they came together, proven himself somewhat worthy to Wade's hometown of Summit City, and felt certain the self-imposed, six month boy-buffer would prove one thing - their fate was to be forever entwined.

Once real life settles in, Boone suffers the realization that no one ever actually said love was easy and that even after you fall, you can still break. As their two worlds collide, he begins to understand that if he can navigate the landscape of life in fusion, he just might get that happily-ever-after…after all.

If you like humor, do not miss out on Life In Fusion, and the other books in Ethan Day's Summit City Books!

I love this series. Absolutely love it. I adore Boone and Wade. This book follows them as they start their long distance relationship, and all the complications that come with doing so.

But, really, it's the humor and banter that have sucked me in completely. I am shocked that I never knew quite how funny Ethan Day is. Every single thing about this story is right up my alley, especially the laughs.

Boone is still unsure of his self worth, as he's someone who thinks one is supposed to be unhappy in life. Watching his struggles with allowing himself to believe in love is an emotional ride.

They also have to deal with their friends and family as they react to this sudden relationship. It's tough enough on Boone to accept Wade's love, but having some opinions thrown his way doesn't help.

But, seriously, if you enjoy funny, quick-witted banter, do not miss out on this gem!

I am thrilled to have discovered Life In Fusion. Ethan Day has created wonderful characters, who are so damn charming together, and takes them on a touching journey filled with love, laughs and some great friends.

Sno Ho (Summit City #1) by Ethan Day

Blurb

Boone Daniels seems to have trouble finishing things. Along with the half dozen or so novels he's started, only to abandon mid-way through, his love life could be best described as a series of drive-bys.

Boone has spent the past week staying at a ski lodge in the tiny mountain town of Summit City. He's been using his time alone to write while waiting for his boyfriend to join him for their anniversary.

What happens to Boone when he winds up dumped on the eve of his one-year anniversary and ends up at a bar having one too many cocktails? Wade Walker.

Sno Ho is a good romance by Ethan Day that includes some light, fun humor.

When Boone and Wade meet during Boone's vacation, the two men start a vacation fling. But, as the vacation continues, they start to realize how good they are together. They get closer emotionally, in addition to their great connection in the bedroom.

I adore that Boone doesn't know who Wade is, as it helps them get to know each other more than Wade has been able to know people before. As a famous ex-Olympian, Wade never knows who he can trust.

One thing I enjoyed a lot is the reflection upon looking at one's essence. It's spectacular and completely in line with my feelings. In addition to the humor, Ethan Day also gives us some fun and hot scenes.

Overall, I really enjoyed Ethan Day's Sno Ho and look forward to reading more about these guys. Definitely check it out when you're in the mood for some sweet, no angst romance.

GRL 2018 SPOTLIGHT - Ethan Day - Second Time Lucky

In my attempt to cover some of the attending authors for this year's GRL,
I am reviewing

Ethan Day's
Second Time Lucky!

BLURB

Second chances aren’t easy to come by but for Luke Landon and Owen West, sometimes the best things really do come back to you.

Luke Landon and Owen West already had a once upon a time. They burned hot back in college yet still managed to lose their way. It’s been fifteen years since they drifted apart and while a lot has since changed, they’ve discovered that some things still feel the same. While one calls it fate, the other dumb luck, second chances aren’t easy to come by. Putting the ignorance of youth and life’s baggage aside, they just might find that sometimes the best things really do come back to you.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Second Time Lucky is a wonderfully sweet second chance romance by Ethan Day.

I am thrilled to have discovered this book and the fantastic humor that Ethan Day brings to it. If you like sweet laughs, just read to enjoy this quote, "The price you pay for butt sex and sin." And the "free Willy" scene is just the best!

This romance reminds us of the importance of finding that special someone who makes you feel good about yourself. It's all about the importance of finding the right person. At the right time.

Luke and Owen have to deal with family issues, and an ex-husband, in addition to the importance of understanding and more importantly forgiveness. Luke and Owen are fun, sweet and meant to be together, if they are finally ready to be a couple. I love them and their story.

If Second Time Lucky is any indication of Ethan Day's other stories, I will definitely be checking out his other titles.

Ethan Day

I am a gay man living in Missouri. I can hear the gasps already!! How very un-chic of me, yes I know. It was here I was born, and here I have stayed.

I'm currently single, but always looking for that special someone that makes my heart skip a beat as well as being able to put up with neurotic litte 'ole me. The worst thing about being a romance writer is finding a real-life hottie who can live up to the fantasy I create in my head and subsequently thrust upon him before actually getting to know him. I can hear you getting all judgie, it's an occupational hazard! To all my past and future boyfriends, my sincerest apologies, I can't help myself!

I was the youngest of four children and the only boy, so needless to say, I was spoiled rotten. I've always had an extravagant fantasy life. When I played with my Star Wars action figures as a child, I liked to make up my own stories. Naturally, Luke Skywalker and Han Solo were totally meant for each other, and Princess Leia made a bitchin' wise-cracking fag-hag.

I somehow managed to survive high school living in a small racist town in Southeast Missouri and emerged unscathed, realizing life was too short to pretend to be anything other than who I was. I was the little homo that could. So damn it, I did! It was all very Lifetime Movie Network meets After School Special, I assure you.

After a few stints in college, I eventually signed up for a Creative Writing course. I took the class because there were no tests. For once my scholastic laziness paid off, and I found an outlet for all the fantasies running amuck in my head. It was love at first write, and I've been doing it off and on ever since.

Now I've decided it's time to un-barricade the doors and unleash my imagination onto the world. So very sorry world!! My fantasy life is now available for public consumption and I'm desperately hoping you're really, really hungry.
