Bad Daddy & Good Boy (Trying Kink #1 & #2) by C.S. Joyce

Bad Daddy (Trying Kink #1)
by CS Joyce

Blurb

What if you wanted to be watched? If there was something incredibly sexy about being an exhibitionist? Knowing that someone was there, in the shadows watching… wanting… breathless… a voyeur in the dark. I was prepared to spend a summer pining after him. Like most eighteen-year old’s do over a crush. But then he had to go and send me that link. The one that had me staring, in shock, as I watched him… How can I forget what I’ve seen? And how do I fight this desire within me—the one that craves a bad Daddy? Bad Daddy is Part One in the Trying Kink serial. If you like Daddy kink, exhibitionism, and voyeurism, then this 8k word story is for you.

Good Boy (Trying Kink #2)
by CS Joyce

Blurb

What if you couldn't look away? If you couldn't fight the desire to watch or be watched. And what if there was a way to do just that? Somewhere where good boys turned bad...

I’m still a good boy, aren't I? Even if I've done things that I shouldn't have? Seen things, felt things, touched things...
Sonny’s like a drug and I'm completely hooked.
He's testing me; challenging me to be the good boy he wants. But underneath it all I know he's really craving me to defy him. Because Sonny's a bad Daddy and he's going to corrupt me.

Good Boy is Part Two in the Trying Kink serial.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

I am reviewing CS Joyce's Bad Daddy and Good Boy together, as that is how they need to be read.

They start with a summer job for Ali. Upon meeting the older Sonny, the attraction is instant. What follows is a short, quick, Daddy kink romance.

This fun age difference romance is hot and steamy, with plenty of exhibitionism and voyeurism. At first, Sonny's attracted to their public moments, but soon he realizes it's more. Sonny wants his own boy; he wants to take care of Ali.

Bad Daddy and Good Boy are perfect when you're in the mood for a quick, smutty read. This series is light on the development, but heavy on the sex, and drowning in deliciousness.

Heart from Home (Individualists #3) by C.S. Joyce

Blurb

What could be more complicated than being in the closet and sleeping with your sexy, older, Uncle-in-law? Falling in love with him. That’s what.

Aidan

I’m a virgin. Okay, not a virgin, but I’ve never slept with a man. Because I’m not gay. Well, that’s not exactly true either, but it doesn’t matter. I’ve made my choice to live this way and I’m not about to change.

A week of sun, sea and good food sounded like a nice distraction from the dreariness of my life, even if it was for my sister’s wedding. And it would have been fine if the groom’s sexy-as-hell Uncle hadn’t shown up and turned my world upside down. Now I’m facing the biggest decision ever: do I keep hiding or give in to temptation…

Robert

Ever see something and think to yourself, ‘that needs to be mine’? Well that’s what happened the minute I laid eyes on the young, gorgeous Irishman at my nephew’s wedding. The only problem is he’s in the closet. Oh, and about to be related to me.

Maybe I should just leave Aidan alone, but what if he’d let me help him discover what he’s been missing? Surely, there’s no harm in that. All I have to do is not get attached to him. That’d be easy, right?

Heart from Home is book #2 in the Individualists series. This series is Age Gap MM, and each book can be read as a standalone.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

CS Joyce's Heart From Home is a beautiful tale of two men who are both barely living; two men who aren't living authentically. The third book in the Individualist series, it's easily read as a standalone.

I love Robert and Aidan's story. Meeting at a family wedding, these two share a spark. But Aidan's firmly locked in his self imposed closet with no thought of every coming out. Robert, meanwhile, is merely existing, instead of chasing his dreams and embracing his potential. With both men scared and not living the lives they want, together they can challenge and encourage each other.

This is a wonderful story of a young man struggling with his sexuality. He struggles to admit he's gay to others, but more importantly, to himself. It's an amazing story of an older man struggling with his life, unable to take chances. It's full of fear, denials, and cowardliness.

It's beautiful seeing the growth in both men as they learn to live together. It's not an easy road, but it's well worth all the pain and heartache.

Their story involves an age gap, which leads to some great humorous moments. Seriously, it's just an amazingly sweet story.

I love the writing style from the start. It's wonderful, as these two men instantly worm their way into my heart. I enjoy the way they meet and everything that follows. The side characters are important to the story, as well as entertaining.

I highly recommend Heart From Home when you're looking for an emotional coming out story. Both gripping and compelling, it's a wonderful read that's an important reminder that living authentically and chasing your dreams can lead to a better life.

The Heart Dealer (Individualists #2) by C.S. Joyce

Blurb

Alexander Brown:

As an art dealer, I’ve learnt that everything and everyone has a price. Months away from my fiftieth birthday, I’ve resigned myself to being alone: I need nothing more than my work to be happy.
At least I thought I didn’t want anyone in my life... until a fortuitous meeting with a young artist has me questioning just how happy I really am. And now I’m craving things I thought I’d closed my heart to. Charlie is so full of light and possibility, it’s as if he was made for me.
There’s just one problem: he’s half my age.

Charlie Delaney:

As an artist, I’m used to running out of things: paint supplies, canvas, food, money, and patience. The life of a starving artist has turned out a little more real than I would have liked. As if being broke wasn’t bad enough, now I’m practically homeless. But nothing can deter me from my dreams. I just need to get a lucky break.
Running into a wealthy art dealer was beyond serendipitous. With Alex’s help, my career might finally take off. But when sparks fly between us, business is the last thing on my mind. Alex is so stoic and strong, it’s like he’s the safe place I’ve been searching for.
There’s just one problem: he’s twice my age.

Alexander and Charlie live in different worlds, where more than age separates them. Can a wealthy art dealer and a homeless artist make a life together?

The Heart Dealer is an Age-Gap MM Romance which is part of The Individualists series. Featuring one silver fox, one young and idealistic artist, and the deal of a lifetime.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

CS Joyce's The Heart Dealer is a fun May to December romance, as well as a beautiful tale of unexpected love.

Wow, I love Charlie and Alex. Both man bring plenty of past pain to the relationship. Not only are the men in different times in their lives with their age difference, but they also have financial differences. They certainly don't belong together according to society, they damn, they are great together. This part is so wonderfully developed and explored.

Their romance is an insta-love story, so skip this one if that's not your thing. It's also a story of pain and loss, with Alex struggling to allow Charlie into his life. A previous loss has left him broken and unable to move forward. This is a story of allowing oneself a second chance at love and facing one's fears. It's inspiring as Charlie makes Alex feel again, and gives everything meaning.

As for the title, I find it fun, as it's a cute play on words, as Alex is an art dealer.

The Heart Dealer is definitely a good read. CS Joyce's writing is entertaining, nurturing, and tender. This slow burn romance took me on a memorable emotional journey.

“There’s something about the way he’s looking at me now, determined. Like he might ruin me if given half the chance.”

Adam:

Success can mean a lot of things. To me it meant living a lie and getting away with it.

But pretending is exhausting. My sister’s wedding in Italy was exactly what I needed. A week on the Amalfi coast with sunshine, wine, and zero complications.

Too bad the universe saw an opportunity to ruin that plan. Because what could be more complicated than the arrival of an attractive man who sees right through my act? One that is determined to remind me that you can’t hide who you really are.

What if he tells people my secret? Or, worse still, what if I can’t control these feelings. Because right now I’m feeling all sorts of things – fear, anger, lust…

No, I need to keep this thing under control. I can’t give in.

But what if, just once, I didn’t fight it?

Jacob:

After a series of bad decisions, running away to Italy seemed like the perfect escape. A fresh start in a new country. Nothing, and no one would bring me back to Ireland.

When I meet Adam at my friend’s wedding, I’m captivated. There’s something about this rugged stranger that makes me forget that I keep messing up every part of my life.

I know it’s a bad idea and I know I’m playing with fire. But when anger turns to passion I know I can’t stay away.

He can pretend all he wants but that man belongs in my bed. He might only be here for one week, but I intend to make the most of it.

After all, I can’t ask him for more when I’m not sure I’ll stick around.

But what if, this time, I didn’t run?

REVIEW  My Rating - 5 Stars!

His Heart or Mine is a wonderful romance by CS Joyce.

This story revolves around two broken men, Adam and Jacob. Jacob is a runner, always running from anything that makes him uncomfortable.  He runs, and then he regrets it, but keeps that part a secret.

When Jacob attends his friend Michael's wedding, he meets the bride's brother, Adam. Adam takes an instant dislike to Jacob, but he finds it hard to be rude to the flirting Jacob, and soon he can't stop thinking about the man.

As the attraction becomes strong between the two, they face a few issues. Adam is out and proud, while Jacob has his closet door bolted shut. Adam has no interest in hooking up with a man who is closeted.

Jacob's refusal to be out is discussed in great detail, as he has shut down that side of himself, never experimenting with gay sex, and having convinced himself that his attraction of men is a choice.

A huge contrast between the men is their appearance. Adam can easily be identified as gay, but Jacob has always tried to best to looking strong, tough and macho, in hopes of looking straight.

Jacob's decision to stay closeted or to come out is the crux of the story. He's wrestling with this decision, yet is attracted to Adam. It is a long process for him to come to terms with his sexuality. That said, I find it to be well written and well developed, as it's emotional, intriguing, and heartfelt. It is written with understanding, compassion and heart.

One part that resonated with me a lot is that it's ridiculous to expect someone to know what they want out of life when they are young. "I mean people change, interests change."  I am sure all of us can relate to this in some way or another.

His Heart or Mine is captivating and worth a read. I can't wait to see what else CS Joyce comes up with for this series!
