Can a singles’ holiday in Crete give two men who’ve never met, and only spoken via a hook-up app, what they both crave—love?

Apollo

A year of messaging on the Cuffd app has led me to understand one thing: Troy is the one meaningful relationship I’ve ever had. Two things are stopping it from being more, I’m an adult film star and there’s also an ocean between us. To claim my geek boy, I’m going to have to pull out all the stops and lay my heart on the line as I’ve never done before.

Troy

Apollo, my online friend gives me the confidence to take a trip to a place I dream of. Myths and legends are worth a little fear of flying, right? With the incentive of finding a Daddy who’s as caring as Apollo, what do I have to lose?

Greeking Out is a long-distance-friends-to-lovers story with a geeky boy who hasn’t been little in too long, a confident, caring Daddy who wants to give his boy the holiday of a lifetime, and a well-loved teddy bear. It’s part of the Destination Daddies multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Greeking Out is a great romance by Colette Davison. Part of the Destination Daddies series, it's easily read as a standalone.

First we have Troy, a cute geek who loves Greek Mythology. There's a lot of fun mentions of particular myths, which is entertaining.

Next, we have Apollo, who's a well known porn star. Good god, I love this part of his character. I enjoy how both men feel about his porn career, as well as the people who recognize him and how it plays into the story.

As part of the Destination Daddies series, a large portion of the story takes place in Crete, as the two meet up for a get away. And I love everything about this. The setting is intriguing and the littles get away is delightful.

Troy has been talking to Apollo on the Cuffd app for a long time before the two meet in person. And, oh man, their connection in person is even better than it was online. I love it!

These two are extremely fun together, perfectly complimenting one another, with a relationship that naturally develops.

And then there's the age play, of which I'm a total fan of reading. I love the way it's done here. The get away is the perfect place for them to experiment with an age play relationship. And, omg, I love all the littles and their little time.

This book is fabulously written. I found the getaway and age play elements to be very well written, and the characters are super addicting. They certainly mesh well and their romance is just beautiful.

Greeking Out is a totally addicting romance. Everything about this Destination Daddies romance had me swooning and falling in love with these men. I will definitely be adding this one to my re-read list. And I highly suggest it the next time you're in the mood for an age play romance.

GeekBoy: What if I’ve forgotten something?

HungLikeAGreekGod: I’m sure you haven’t, but if it helps, you can tell me everything you’ve got packed.

GeekBoy: Really?

HungLikeAGreekGod: Of course. I wouldn’t have offered if I hadn’t meant it.

GeekBoy: Everything?

HungLikeAGreekGod: Everything, geek boy. Before you do, take a deep breath and a moment to calm down.

GeekBoy: Okay.

The urge to reply with “yes, Daddy” was overwhelming. Apollo wasn’t my Daddy and never would be, but it made me smile whenever he acted that way. Taking care of other people was probably as natural for him as breathing. Speaking of which… I took a couple of deep breaths. Once my mind was less of a whirlwind of panic, I opened my suitcase and carefully took everything out. I repacked everything meticulously, pausing between items to tell Apollo what I was putting into the case.

GeekBoy: Flip-flops and slip-on shoes.

HungLikeAGreekGod: They’ll come in handy. Do you have something more rugged for visiting Knossos and walking up to Zeus’s birthplace?

GeekBoy: My boots, but I’ll be wearing those on the flight.

HungLikeAGreekGod: I think that’s all the footwear you’ll need. What’s next?

GeekBoy: Five pairs of socks. To wear with the boots, not the flip-flops or slip-on shoes.

HungLikeAGreekGod: I’m glad that fashion crisis has been averted.

GeekBoy: Please. As if I would wear socks and sandals. Seven pairs of underwear.

HungLikeAGreekGod: That’s plenty.

I was almost disappointed that he hadn’t asked for more details. Why would he? We were friends, nothing more. Friends didn’t ask each other about their underwear.

GeekBoy: Seven T-shirts, four pairs of shorts, two pairs of jeans, plus the pair I’ll be wearing on the plane. Some little clothing in case I get the chance to be little. Two pairs of swimming trunks. A hat, sun cream, my toiletries bag, which has toothpaste, a toothbrush, and stuff to shave with. Lube and condoms just in case.

HungLikeAGreekGod: I told you. You have everything you need.

GeekBoy: Deodorant will be in my carry-on.

HungLikeAGreekGod: Good plan. What else do you have in your carry-on?

I added my favourite dildo to my suitcase and zipped it back up. Then I unpacked the small rucksack I was taking as hand luggage.

GeekBoy: Sunglasses, the aforementioned deodorant, currency, my wallet, a spare change of clothes just in case my luggage goes missing, my passport, and last but not least, batteries for my B.O.B.

HungLikeAGreekGod: What’s a B.O.B?

I snort-laughed at the thought that a porn star didn’t know what B.O.B stands for.

GeekBoy: Battery-operated boyfriend.

HungLikeAGreekGod: Why didn’t you just say dildo?

GeekBoy: B.O.B is more discreet.

HungLikeAGreekGod: You don’t need to be discreet with me.

Colette’s personal love story began at university, where she met her future husband. An evening of flirting, in the shadow of Lancaster castle, eventually led to a fairytale wedding. She’s enjoying her own ‘happy ever after’ in the north of England with her husband, two beautiful children and her writing.

So Close, Yet so Far Away

Engaged couple Zakarias and Julian are convinced nothing can separate them…until a global pandemic hits. Zakarias catches the virus with mild symptoms and isolates in the couple’s guest house. The few meters dividing them might as well be the moon as he watches Julian, an ICU nurse, work himself to the bone, unable to support him the way he needs. Frustration and worry build as the weeks pass. Will Zakarias be declared healthy before Julian burns out?

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

It's no surprise that Nell Iris' So Far Away is fabulous. Nell is definitely the queen of short romances.

Zak and Julian are dealing with being separated during a pandemic due to quarantine. This is definitely something so many of us can appreciate right now.

This read has all the feels. The story focuses on the men and all their reactions and feelings while dealing with their separation.

It's sweet. It's tender. And it's so darn relatable, as one's in quarantine and sick, the other dealing with treating those with the virus.

I enjoy the men together and the way they interact and deal with everything. The way they reevaluate their lives during this time is heartwarming.

This is not about Covid-19 per say. The author announces it as a random pandemic. Not sure if that makes a difference to anyone, as it will be a long time before we stop thinking about Covid-19 while reading this book. If ever.

So Far Away is a great choice when you're in the mood for a short story. Nell Iris does a stellar job depicting a beautiful and thoughtful relationship.

When we’d just bought it, we spent many long evenings making plans and discussing options. We’d share a bottle of wine and make long lists of things we wanted, things we deemed necessary in what was going to be our forever home. The lists started outrageously—a wine cellar bigger than the actual house with an employee who turns the bottles? Really, Zakarias?—but distilled into a few reasonable items. So Julian’s dream of the biggest bathroom in the northern hemisphere—a Bath Palace, Zakarias, not a bathroom—complete with a pool, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and every other imaginable luxury, turned into a more feasible sized room with a fancy walk-in shower and a separate bathtub with jets—both of them big enough to accommodate the two of us. It also has a heated floor and double sinks. And my favorite feature; the tiny lights over the bathtub, sprinkled in the ceiling like a starry sky.

We both love the house; it’s our sanctuary. Every design element is chosen for comfort and to make it feel like a real home. Like someplace we can be ourselves. Someplace we can grow old together.

There are things left to do on the house before we’re happy with it, and we still spend evenings on the couch, sipping wine and making lists. Evenings that more often than not turn into heavy make-out sessions on the couch, with clothes being torn off and strewn about. Evenings that end with us panting in a sticky mess and blissed-out grins on our faces, but without deciding what to do with whatever room we’re considering remodeling at the time. “The discussion is half the fun,” he’ll say with sparkling eyes, and my mouth agrees, while I’m thinking the discussion is all the fun, because I could live in a tiny shack in the forest and be happy as long as he lived there with me.

But this house…it’s not just a house, it’s a homeOur home and I miss it.

I miss coming home from work and finding Julian sprawled on the couch in only his underwear, watching some horrid reality show or other on the big screen TV. I miss waking up early on weekends and preparing luxury breakfasts for him, miss how the scent of freshly baked bread never fails to wake him and lure him out of bed. I miss the adorable sight of him stumbling into the kitchen, bleary-eyed, hair in disarray with pillow creases on his cheek and dried drool on his chin. I miss how he beelines for me like a heat-seeking missile and winds himself around me, burying his face in my neck, snaking his arms around me, and tapping three times over my heart.

His family came up with that code when he was little; his younger sister was born with a genetic developmental disorder and never learned to speak, so three taps to the heart meant “I love you.” She died when she was only five, but the family keeps her memory alive with that gesture. It was how Julian told me he loved me for the first time. I didn’t understand it at the time, but when he told me the story, I realized he’d been telling me he loved me long before the words were spoken out loud.

I straighten my spine. Shake my head at my moment of weakness before marching back to the guesthouse and pulling a sweater over my head. I pour out the cold forgotten contents of my mug and pour fresh, steaming coffee into it.

Then I sit, take a sip, and breathe.

Nell Iris is a romantic at heart who believes everyone deserves a happy ending. She’s a bona fide bookworm (learned to read long before she started school), wouldn’t dream of going anywhere without something to read (not even the ladies room), loves music (and singing along at the top of her voice but she’s no Celine Dion), and is a real Star Trek nerd (Make it so). She loves words, bullet journals, poetry, wine, coffee-flavored kisses, and fika (a Swedish cultural thing involving coffee and pastry!)

Nell believes passionately in equality for all regardless of race, gender or sexuality, and wants to make the world a better, less hateful, place.

Nell is a bisexual Swedish woman married to the love of her life, a proud mama of a grown daughter, and is approaching 50 faster than she’d like. She lives in the south of Sweden where she spends her days thinking up stories about people falling in love. After dreaming about being a writer for most of her life, she finally was in a place where she could pursue her dream and released her first book in 2017.

Nell Iris writes gay romance, prefers sweet over angsty, short over long, and quirky characters over alpha males.

Out of Harm's Way (Balls and Brawn #1) by Rebecca James

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

I’m coming after you, baby boy. You’re going to pay for what you did.

The terrifying text message from Mick Water's abuser, recently escaped from prison, sends him spiraling into panic. His life is just getting back on track, and now he's constantly looking over his shoulder and barely able to sleep at night. When his friends arrange for a bodyguard for him, Mick feels a confusing combination of relief at having protection, dismay at the sheer size of his new bodyguard, and arousal due to Mick's attraction to big men. His ex was a big man, and Mick paid dearly for that attraction.

Oxford Bradley enjoys his job with Foster Security, which includes a mixed bag of high-stakes cases--some of them dangerous--and dull babysitting-type situations. When he isn't working, he prefers a serene life devoid of drama and, let’s face it, a somewhat vanilla sex life. Assigned to protect a terrified man from his abusive ex, Ox is horrified at his body’s reaction to not only Mick himself, but also Mick’s admission to a Daddy kink--he’s never had an unprofessional relationship with a client and he isn’t starting now.

As Mick warms up to Ox and the two men get to know one another, the attraction between them grows. Ox refuses to break his professional code, but what about when the danger's over? Living in different states, they can't possibly have more than a one-off, and the temptation to explore with this intriguing man is undeniable.

Will one night send Ox running back to his comfortable vanilla lifestyle, or will Mick help him find a new favorite flavor? And what happens when an opportunity presents itself for Ox to see Mick again?

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Out of Harm's Way is first book in the Balls and Brawn series. This Rebecca James tale is a great mix of bodyguard romance, danger, and sex.

Oz is hired to protect Mick after his ex escapes from prison. Oz is bisexual and can't deny his attraction to his subject. It's does take them a little while though, as they aren't going to allow Oz to eff up his assignment.

I felt bad for Mick immediately. The reader can feel his fear from the start, with plenty of fearful moments to follow.

The attraction and friendship that develops is sweet. And I love the long distance issues and how they play into the storyline.

Their story includes some steamy scenes, including dirty talk, lingerie, and some public sex. The risky sex is a delightful scene. But damn, I love Mick in a skirt.

The Daddy kink aspect of this story is very light. Yes, their sex life includes some Daddy moments, but it's few and far between.

The suspense and danger is riveting, with some twists and turns thrown in to keep things intriguing.

One of my favorite parts of the story involves Ox's parents. I don't want to give anything away, but it's both sad and satisfying.

Out of Harm's Way is a great read by Rebecca James. The combination of danger and action, with sex and romance, is all well done.

Resisting Rein (Gilcrest University Guys #3) by M.E. Parker

Okay, so funny story, guys… I’m fake dating a billionaire.

I would never say that out loud. It’s not the sort of thing you just bring up in a casual conversation with your best friends. Especially when you’ve signed an NDA. Especially when he is paying you obscene amounts of money. Especially when he’s your dead brother’s best friend. Especially when he’s straight?

At least, I thought Rein Davenport was straight. Now, I’m not so sure. But it doesn’t matter.
He’s possibly more selfish than even I am. So, nothing can ever come of it. Ever. There’s no need to tell the guys anything. Because there isn’t anything to tell. Damnit! I hate it when I lie to myself…

Resisting Rein is the beginning of Cam’s story and is the third book in the Gilcrest University Guys series. It’s a full-length (nearly 78,000 words), “fake relationship” romance novel. It has “gay for you” and “first-time gay” themes, is stocked full of STEAM, heartache, and laughter, and it has a guaranteed “happy for now” ending. Resisting Rein is the first of two books that will complete Cam and Rein’s love story.

It can be read as a standalone, but if you want to follow the guys journey from the beginning, start with Book One, Chasing Chance. The Gilcrest University Guys series follows the love stories of four college friends (Andy, Cam, Jordy, & Ben). Look for Book Four, Reaching Rein, to come out soon!

My Rating - 5 Stars!

ME Parker's Resisting Rein is a fantastic addition to the Gilcrest University Guys series. One of my go-to for romances, it's a college romance, which had me elated to jump into this story.

Cameron and Rein make for an interesting couple. They see one another after meeting years ago, but Rein doesn't even recognize Cam. As much as this pisses off Cam, it's completely understandable, as Cam was only 14 the last time they were together.

Do you like opposites attract and age gaps? Both tropes are well done. One is rich, one is poor. One has a family that sucks. The other has been rejected by his father, raised by his uncles. And, yes, those uncles are fabulous!

This is also a GFY, coming out story, as Rein has always been with women. His attempt to piss off his father with a fake relationship with Cam results in the development of feelings ne never saw coming.

Their relationship covers a long stretch of time, with the men fighting their feelings and dealing with distance, fears, and circumstances. So yes, it's most definitely a slow burn to the happy ending.

A combination of brother's best friend, fake boyfriends, age gap, and controlling father issues, this book kept me intrigued throughout. Yes, my favorite reads are college romances and brother's best friend, so this one gets a huge head start. But it's the writing style, the characters, and their storyline that kept me reading late into the night.

This is the rare read where the brother's best friend trope plays a different kind of role. Why? That brother is dead. The last time the men saw one another, it was at the funeral. And both men have some baggage when it comes to the loss of their brother/best friend.

The author throws in many special secondary characters. And no, they don't all appear at once, confusing the reader, as some books do. Nope. The characters are all slowly introduced, easy to keep track of, and add immensely to the storyline.

I am a sucker for humor, so my favorite part of the story may just be Cameron and Judy. Their instant connection and type of antics had me laughing out loud. Often.

Resisting Rein is one of those special books that I just couldn't put down. I fell in love with this ME Parker book at the start, and loved every single second of it. I definitely wish more people knew about this book/series.

Basically, if you haven't yet read this series, go back and start at the beginning. This one is easily a standalone, but the whole series is charming and sweet.

True Faith is a full-length, slow-burn love story. It contains a cast of fully-developed characters that encounter romance, heartache, laughter, and life lessons. It contains adult language, mature themes, and is best enjoyed by those over the age of 18.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

True Faith, the second book in The Young Americans series, picks up where Just Like Heaven leaves off.

I adore Josh and Noah in the first book. Now they are dealing with long distance, other's criticisms, and Josh trying to deal with his independence. Their current journey is one bump after another. It isn't an easy read, as it's full of conflict and emotional distance. The angst seriously hurt my heart at times.

The author delves into the world of Hollywood and fame. Partying, drugs, backstabbing and selfishness are all well addressed. The author definitely does a great job illustrating this downside of fame.

They have problems with friends and too many bad influences. Their problems abound leading to confusion and tension. It is one hell of an emotional read. Seriously, it is gut wrenching and I love it.
I do enjoy the author's writing style in general, but it definitely has it's fair share of too many "says" and "say." That is a personal pet peeve on mine that drives me crazy.

Overall, True Faith is a fabulous read. If you hate established couples struggling to stay together though, avoid this one. The majority of the story is painful to read. In the end, TL Bradford impresses in this story of self growth and love.

T.L. always hated math, so it was a good thing she had a way with words. Since she was a shy and quirky kid; words were her best friends. She would imagine entire worlds in her head and talk to herself endlessly. Her mother wondered if she was speaking with ghosts for a while.
Her older sister was a voracious reader of trashy romance novels and would pass them down to her after she had finished them. T.L. was the only 10-year-old kid sitting in class reading "The Stud" by Jackie Collins during reading time. Oddly enough, she never got called out on it.
As she grew older, her tastes evolved, but one thing held fast; her undying attachment to love stories. One day out of the blue, she decided to write the love stories she always wanted to read instead of searching for her story. Since then, writing has been a dream fulfilled for her and she could not be happier.
She enjoys writing about love, regardless of gender and is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community.
T.L. calls the Pacific Northwest her home and enjoys the quiet rural life of her little oceanside home with her playful/crazy husband and their giant dog Noah.

Ziggy (Kinky Boys #2) by K.M. Neuhold & Nora Phoenix

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

As far as I can tell I don’t have a submissive bone in my body. So why do I like it so much when Marshall calls me his good puppy?
I’ve made some impulsive decisions in my life, but signing a contract with the K Boys to shoot an Introduction to Kink series may have been the biggest impulse ever. Sure, the intimate part of it doesn’t faze me, but the rest is way more intense than I had expected.
Luckily, there’s Marshall, the consultant who oversees all the shoots. He’s so calm and steady, and he’s there for me when I panic. That doesn’t mean I suddenly like being tied up or something…until Marshall introduces me to puppy play. I want to be his good puppy…and much more because it’s hard not to fall for him.
But I still have a contract. I don’t want to disappoint my boss, and I need the money.
This isn’t a long-term career plan, Marshall is only temporarily in Vegas, and I may have made the biggest mistake of my life… Or have I?
Ziggy is a low-angst MM romance that shows a variety of mild kink, including puppy play. It’s the second book in the K Boys series and can be read as a standalone, though it’s more fun to read the books in order.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Ziggy, the second book in the Kinky Boys series, is another wonderful read by KM Neuhold and Nora Phoenix.

Byron is the young man behind the Ziggy persona. He doesn't fully connect to the kink aspect of porn. In an amazing stroke of luck however, Marshall is able to see Byron's needs.

What follows is a thrilling tale of sexual exploration, as they experiment with BDSM and kink, with Byron learning a lot about himself in the process. Throughout their interactions, there are real sparks and ever growing feelings.

This story is brilliant, as it's a story of exploration only, at first. And I love it.
Their story includes puppy porn, hot chemistry, and some complications. I adore the way these two form a natural connection in this sweet, low angst romance.

Ziggy is a story of finding someone who believes in you and makes you believe in yourself. Both authors excel in bringing all the emotions to this delightful story. This series is well done, with heart-felt emotional romances mixed with plenty of heat and kink.
