Fairy Daddy (Riding Home # 1) by Amy Bellows

Amazon Link - Available in KU
Goodreads Link

Gray’s stage name is Trouble. He’s earned it.

When he goes onto stage in heat, it’s clear he needs a Daddy. But that’s not all he gets the night he meets an older man with fading blue hair and a leather riding jacket. This Daddy already has a boy, and that boy wants to play with Gray too. In fact, the boy might be even more wild than Gray.

The three men just want to have fun, but somewhere along the way that fun becomes more complicated. For the first time in Gray’s life, he might be okay with that. Especially when an unexpected surprise changes everything.

Fairy Daddy is the story of three men who find their happily ever after together without needing to tame their wild hearts. It’s set in the same omegaverse as the Heron Manor series, but stands alone.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Dear god, Fairy Daddy is a delicious romance by Amy Bellows. The first in the Riding Home series, this omegaverse tale is awesome.

This menage romance is as sweet as can be, with lots of heat, and some great humor.

It starts with Chris and Revv who are in an open relationship. What follows is them discovering that Gray is their third, adding perfectly to their relationship.

Of course, it's the menage dynamics that really make this one so damn good. This is a great illustration of why menages are necessary for some people. Without Gray, Chris and Revv were never going to be complete. But, damn, he really adds a whole new dimension to their lives.

The sex in this one is scorching hot. There's heat sex, group sex, and more. There's exhibitionism and voyeurism that will leave you devouring this read quickly.

Of course, the men all are complex, with wonderfully developed backstories.

Fairy Daddy is even better than I was expecting. This is yet one more fabulous book by Amy Bellows. just read it!

1508
Sebastian Drake, stoic protector of the Drake family, always gets what he wants—and there is nothing he wants more than the half-starved Pedigree omega named Peregrine he comes across on his travels. It doesn’t matter that Peregrine is a Disgrace. Sebastian will do whatever it takes to keep him… and somehow, as impossible as it might be, find a way to be his mate.

Present Day

One thing that has hurt him time and time again.

One thing Sebastian can’t save him from.

And now it’s happening again.

He’s pregnant.

Peregrine is an 85,000 word omegaverse mpreg romance set prior to as well as following the events of the Forbidden Desires series. For maximum enjoyment, Peregrine is best read following the events of Clutch, Bond, Mate, Swallow, Magpie, and Finch.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Good god, I am in awe. I didn't think the Forbidden Desires world could get any better, but damn! Peregrine is a mesmerizing romance by Piper Scott & Virginia Kelly.

The kids are amazing and entertaining. Love them!

Sebastian and Perry are out of this world. From the moment they met, Sebastian was dedicated heart and soul to his lover. Their romance is all consuming for both of them.

Unfortunately, their lives are full of pain and loss. It is heartbreaking and painful to the core.

Their tale is full of child antics, family issues, secrets, and pain. It's messy and complicated and well worth a read.

Everything about this book is amazing. The authors alternate between past and present in this emotional journey. The backstory is well explored and developed, setting up the present fully.

Peregrine is everything I was hoping it would be. I can't wait to see what these authors come up with next. For now, what a fabulous installment in this Forbidden Desires Spin Off series.

Healed In His Arms (Wildwood Mates #4) by Skye R. Richmond

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

A newborn. A sudden illness. No help in sight.

This time, the alpha is offering more than a doctor-patient relationship. He’ll do whatever is necessary to take the relationship with his mate to the next level.

Jax has been through hell. Can he truly trust that Ryder is ready to offer him everything… a true partner, a life of happiness, and a doting alpha father for his child?

Unspoken dreams do come true. Finally, Jax is happy.

Then tragedy strikes, taking both Jax and their child away from Wildwood. Desperate, Ryder puts aside his oath to ‘do no harm.’ He’ll stop at nothing to find his family.

Will Ryder be able to find Jax in time?

Ryder is a man on a mission, and he doesn’t care what path he needs to take, as long as it leads him to his family.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Healed in His Arms is the fourth book in the Wildwood Mates series by Skye R Richmond. This is definitely not a standalone. The series needs to be read in order.

This is a quick romance, between two men who are fated mates.

Ryder and Jax's tale is one of fated mates. Basically, they are dealing with Jax's hesitation to bond with him, all while dealing with health issues.

They have plenty of internal obstacles in their way. Jax's past definitely has left him scarred and weary. But damn, Ryder is one hell of a patient man.

My favorite part of the story is definitely the daughter. Tabby is adorable. I just love little kids in my stories.

Their story includes some lurking danger they need to face as well. But we know with this pack, everything will end up ok.

Healed in His Arms is a nice addition to this omegaverse romance series. I love this entire series by Skye R Richmond.

Watching Me (Studio C, #1) by Toby Wise

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Love doesn’t make everything perfect, but honestly, where’s the fun in being cookie cutter perfect?

Harrison has finally found the perfect roommate. Derek is kind, keeps his clothes on in the shared areas of the house, and doesn’t complain about the house’s draft. The only problem? Harrison might have developed a bit of a crush on the alpha.

After Harrison accidentally sends Derek one of his ‘work videos’, their relationship changes forever. Can this new relationship stand up to Harrison joining Studio C? And can Derek learn to accept his own desires or will he panic and push Harrison away?

Watching Me is book one in the Studio C series featuring an alpha and beta roommates to lovers, a loveable camboy, an alpha looking for where he belongs, and accepting one's desires. This 27k omegaverse story doesn’t have mpreg but does have a happily ever after.

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Watching Me is a hot omegaverse romance by Toby Wise. The first book in the Studio C series, it's a fun read.

Harrison and Derek are two roommates who fall in love as they discover that their kinks align. And it's a fun ride!

Harrison's a cam boy, and Derek's extremely turned on my his man's job when he accidently discovers what Harrison does.

Everything that follows is hot and sweet. The sex moments are great, full of voyeurism kink. The career stuff is delightful, with an introduction to some porn stars.

But, most of all, this is a tale of Derek figuring out his desires and coming to terms with them. And, in the end, it's a story of found family. Love the ending.

I ultimately enjoy all of Watching Me story. It's a fairly simple tale that's sweet to the core. Toby Wise left me happy throughout.

Whole In His Arms (Wildwood Mates #3) by Skye R. Richmond

Amazon Link   - Available in KU

Phoenix couldn’t be happier. He’s finally found his mate, and they’re planning their forever. The only thing that’s missing is the truth about his past.

Orphaned at a young age, Nix has always had questions. When the opportunity comes along to finally find out the truth, he’ll stop at nothing to get those answers. Even if that means putting himself in danger and leaving his newly pregnant mate behind.

River is determined to be supportive of his mate but having to say goodbye to his mate when he only just found him sends the young omega through a whirlwind of emotions. He doesn’t want to lose his mate, but he refuses to stand in Nix’s way.

With the support of family and friends, River tries to hold on long enough for Phoenix to come back home… to him and their baby.

Will Nix be able to find the answers he’s longed for before it’s too late? Or will he find his siblings only to have them taken away?

My Rating - 3 Stars!

Whole in His Arms is a decent omegaverse romance by Skye R Richmond. The third book in the Wildwood Mates series, it's not really a romance.

Nix and River's tale is not what I was expecting. They're already an established couple when this story starts.

Instead of their developing relationship, this is the story of Nix trying to find his family, and saving omegas from danger. For most of the story, Nix and River are apart, with the reader seeing how much they miss and support each other.

So, again, not a romance. More of an adventure story.

I do enjoy the issues going on with Nix and River, as they are apart while River is pregnant. And I enjoy the way everything resolves itself as far as the omegas are concerned.

Whole in His Arms is a nice adventure story by Skye R Richmond. If you're looking for a true romance, this is not that. I spent most of the story thinking something was missing.

Austin Steele is my idol. He’s also the guy I can’t get enough of.

Austin Steele is my idol. He’s also the guy I can’t get enough of.

Everyone thinks they know who I am—one of pop’s biggest divos. They don’t know me at all. Austin Steele makes me want to see the real me, only there’s some problems:

We’re both omegas, he’s nineteen years my senior, he’s nursing old wounds, and he wants to keep what’s happening between us a secret.

I thought a one-night stand was all I wanted. Now it’s becoming so much more. But how can we look to the future when we can’t let go of our pasts?

Unapologetically Me is the third book in Offbeat Shifters, an m/m paranormal romance series with a continuing storyline. This book includes a misunderstood and unapologetic Arctic fox shifter, a caring capuchin monkey shifter, and a HFN ending. While it’s set in an alternate universe where omegas give birth, there are no pregnancy or birth scenes in this book.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Unapologetically Me is a fabulous read. The third book in Colette Davison's Offbeat Shifters series, it's a wonderful continuation of this spectacular omegaverse world. Be sure to start with Secretly Mine to fully appreciate this stunning story.

This is Austin and Charlie's romance. And oh how I love it! It's an age gap romance, with nineteen years between the men. This is definitely a struggle for Austin. It's also a best friend's father romance, as Charlie is friends with Jesse, adding a forbidden romance aspect.

Charlie appears to be flaky and often misses his appointments. And when he dismisses Austin after a long desired hook up, that just reinforces Austin's negative opinion of him.

But there's a good reason behind Charlie's actions. He has epilepsy and often has to deal with an oncoming seizure or is recovering from a seizure. And he doesn't want the world to know.

The emotions are all consuming as Austin and Charlie slowly build an intense connection. And that connection is as strong as I've ever read.

Hot damn, the heat scene is off the chart amazing. It's absolutely mesmerizing.

And wow, the shifter scenes. Just wow. There is nothing else like it, except for the shifter scenes in the previous books. The author creates a shifting world that is all about the emotions. It's truly stunning, as the shifting in these books create calmness and a sense of security. I've never read another author who uses the shifter scenes in such an emotional manner.

The author wonderfully explores that being famous, or being in a group, isn't always what one thinks it is. One can easily find themselves surrounded by people, yet as lonely as can be. One needs more than a career to keep them happy.

Written in alternating first person pov, the emotions jump off the pages. Every look. Every touch. Every single moment.

I'm impressed with the way the seizures are written. The author handles them with care and compassion, as well as knowledge and understanding. They're an important part of this story and I appreciate the way it's all developed.

Unapologetically Me is an absolutely beautiful love story. Every moment of this Colette Davison gem is freaking amazing, and the series as a whole is superb. I can't wait to see what happens next.

“I can’t remember the last time I just hung out with someone before this week.” I laid my head on his shoulder. “That’s not true. It was right before my first album went viral.”

“That’s a long time.” Austin didn’t sound even remotely surprised.

“I guess you know how that feels, huh?”

“Yes.”

“The cupcakes will be cool enough to decorate.” I cleared my throat and stood.

We’d been having fun, and I didn’t want to drag the day down with drama about how lonely I was. Had been. Could I consign my loneliness to past tense now that I was spending time with Austin?

“I’ll help you make some icing if you want.”

“That might help,” Austin said around a chuckle.

I showed him the recipe I liked to use, loaded up a piping bag for him, and hand over hand showed him how to use it.

“You’ve gotta be gentle,” I said as I left him to it.

I carefully cut a hole out of the centre of each of my cupcakes, into which I pushed a fresh strawberry. Then I popped the top back on and began to ice them. I’d coloured my icing a soft shade of pink, much paler than the bright red of the strawberries. Using a controlled motion, I spiralled the icing onto the top of each cupcake.

“Bollocks!” Austin said.

I looked around to see that his hands were covered in icing, and the nozzle had shot off the piping bag onto one of his cupcakes. Icing dripped everywhere.

I couldn’t help but laugh. “You squeezed too hard, didn’t you?”

“It wasn’t coming out,” he grumbled.

He put the piping bag into a bowl, washed his hands, and grabbed a spoon. I watched for a moment as he dolloped icing onto the top of each cupcake. They looked anything but pretty. Still chuckling to myself, I finished mine off by sprinkling the tiny pieces of chopped strawberry over the icing.

“It’s obvious who’s won,” Austin said.

“No, it’s not. Don’t we have to do a taste test or something?”

“I guess so.”

“Get a couple of plates out.”

He complied. I cut one of his cupcakes in half and put a piece on each plate, then did the same with one of my own.

“Forks?”

“We could use our fingers?”

“I’m pretty sure that’s not how they do it on cooking shows.”

Austin smiled and grabbed a couple of forks. “We should taste the same one.” He handed me a fork. “Mine first.”

“Why?”

“So we’re saving the best until last? We’ll need to eat yours to get rid of the taste of mine.”

“They can’t be that bad.”

He raised his eyebrows. We both took a bite.

“Oh.” The cupcake was like a dry rock in my mouth.

“See what I mean?” Austin said around his own mouthful.

I grabbed some water to wash it down. “They’re not bad for a beginner. A little dry.”

“And heavy.”

“You might want to try adding a bit of milk when you’re mixing the ingredients. It helps to make the mixture light and fluffy.”

“What would help the taste?”

“Some vanilla-bean paste. It’s much better than vanilla extract,” I added, glancing at the small brown bottle of extract that Austin had bought but obviously not used in his own cakes.

Austin nodded thoughtfully before trying my cake. He closed his eyes and murmured his approval. “Now this is like an orgasm in my mouth.”

I snorted a laugh. “A what?”

“An orgasm in my mouth.” He devoured the rest of his half of the cupcake and then put his plate down. “You win.” He wrapped his arms around my waist.

“What do I win?”

“A kiss.” His lips and tongue tasted of strawberries and icing.

“Good prize.”

The call of the wild has never been so hot.

All Jack Tucker wanted was to come home for a little while and try to figure out where his life had gone wrong. Moving from Wyoming to New York didn’t turn out the way he’d thought it would, and a bad breakup has left him bruised—emotionally and otherwise.

He doesn’t expect to be glad he’s back on the Double T Ranch with his brother, Rhett, and he sure doesn’t expect to find the place crawling with coywolves, wolves and coyotes. There seems to be some kind of animal warfare going on, and he and Rhett are caught in the middle of it.

Coywolves—the hybrid of wolves and coyotes, hated by both, and more predatory than either. Add in the fact that all the battling species are shifters, and there’s bound to be trouble.

Ben Akers is part of his brother’s pack. The only coywolf shifters in existence, they find themselves under constant attack from wolf and coyote packs determined to make the Akers pack extinct. But coywolves don’t die out so easy, and when Ben’s life takes a surprising turn in the form of one sexy human named Jack Tucker, they’re both in for surprises, danger and the chance at the kind of love most people—and shifters—can only dream of…

Reader advisory: This book contains references to the main character's abusive relationship, scenes of fighting and death in shifted form.

Publisher's Note: This book was previously released elsewhere. It has been revised and reedited for release with Pride Publishing.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

Destined Prey is a fabulous shifter romance by Bailey Bradford. The first book in the Wild Ones series, it's a great start to this shifter series.

First I have to admit that the cover doesn't work for me at all. If you are a cover snob, ignore the cover. The story is much better. I promise.

I was immediately drawn into this intriguing story of pack rivalries. Shifters. Wolves. Coywolves. Turf wars. And some humans who have no clue what's going on. Yes, please!

Jack's staying with his brother for a short time. But he's instantly thrown into the action when Rhett gets injured by wolves. And he can't stop thinking about those eyes he saw.

There's insta-love for Jack and Ben despite them having no clue what's going on. I adore when Jack discovers that Ben's a shifter. It's so damn funny, while also being sweet and charming. It's a fabulous scene.

What follows is a story with good adventure, strong chemistry, and plenty of hot sex. I love their connection and some of the obstacles they face.

The writing is great, with fantastic world building and intriguing characters. I am definitely excited to read more of this world. There are plenty of interesting secondary characters to keep things fun as well.

Destined Prey is a riveting omegaverse romance. Bailey Bradford combines action and heat for a wonderful read. It's definitely a unique twist on the world of shifters and I recommend it to any shifter fans.

Jack Tucker watched his brother retrieve the rifle from the gun cabinet in the office. “Um. Rhett? What’re you doing?”

Rhett didn’t even glance back at him as he loaded the gun. “What does it look like I’m doing? You been living in the city so long you forgot how a Wyoming rancher lives?” Then he did look over his shoulder at Jack, and Jack kind of wished he hadn’t.

He hated seeing that judgment in his brother’s eyes, and knowing he’d never be good enough for Rhett, never be the man Rhett was. “No,” Jack mumbled, “I didn’t forget.”

Rhett sighed and turned until he faced Jack. “Look, that was uncalled for. I’m… I’m sorry, okay?”

Jack was so startled by the apology that he gulped and couldn’t think of a word to say.

Rhett grimaced. “Yeah. Well, okay. Gotta check on some tracks Eddie said he found leading from his property to ours. I’ll be back in a few hours.” He left, striding from the room without seeming to hesitate.

Jack groaned and closed his eyes. Of course Rhett didn’t hesitate—he never had. Rhett always knew what to do, and how to do it, and who he was and that he was right… Except, he apologized to me, and it screwed my head right up.

“Worse than it already is,” he muttered. Jack couldn’t stop himself from touching his left side, where his bruised ribs throbbed as the pain meds wore off. He was lucky, very lucky, that Rhett hadn’t pushed him on the accident that had sent Jack running home from New York, and possibly into the unemployment line. His boss hadn’t been happy with Jack taking off, even with a medical note as an excuse. Jack hadn’t told Rhett much about any of that. As far as Rhett knew, Jack had fallen down some icy steps, and that was all he was going to ever know about the incident.

Jack replayed his brother’s apology in his head and somehow it mingled in with Alex’s. Cold fear trickled down Jack’s spine and his gut cramped hard enough to make him worry about the dinner he’d just eaten.

After several minutes of trying to calm himself down, Jack stood and left. He’d wanted to sit and talk with Rhett about finances and try to decide if he should offer to let Rhett buy him out. Jack wasn’t made to be a rancher. He wasn’t made to be a New Yorker, either.

Jack didn’t know what he was supposed to do in life, and at the age of twenty-seven, he kind of thought he should have an inkling.

His cell phone rang as he stepped into his bedroom. Without looking, he knew it was Alex calling. “Who else would it be?” he huffed. It wasn’t like he had any friends left.

Rather than check to see how many times Alex had called and how many texts he’d sent, Jack turned the phone off, then stuck it in the nightstand. He eased himself onto the bed, then took a couple of pain pills and washed them down with the rest of the water he’d brought in earlier.

The glass was old and familiar, and he felt a pang of regret as he looked it over after he set it down. Green glass, nothing special about it, yet it brought back so many memories.

He could see his mom in the kitchen, fixing a pitcher of tea, talking to him and listening as he told her about his day at school or the chores he’d had to do around the ranch. She’d always been so kind and understanding that Jack had to believe she’d have been fine about him being gay. He’d spent many afternoons in the kitchen, helping her prepare meals or just basking in her presence. Losing her had almost broken him.

For a few more minutes, he let his mind go back to happy childhood days. His dad wasn’t in nearly as many of those good memories, but Chauncey Tucker hadn’t been a bad man. His dad had been more like Rhett—stoic, focused on the ranch and less on the people around him.

Jack ran one finger around the rim of the glass. He was surprised, really, that there were any of the old things left.

The sound of gunshot startled him so badly he jerked and nearly sent the glass flying.

“Shit!” He winced, then stood as quickly as he could manage.

Another shot rang out, then a third, and fear quickly overtook every other sensation he’d felt until then.

Rhett had always been an ace shot. If he’d had to use three bullets, then there was something bad outside—a bear or a whole pack of wolves.

Jack didn’t like guns, but he went and got one from the gun cabinet anyway. He loaded it as he walked to the front door, and hoped like hell Rhett wasn’t hurt.

As soon as he stepped outside, the fine hairs at his nape seemed to stand up and vibrate, like some kind of primitive survival instinct. Jack froze, his back to the door and his heart slamming hard against his ribs.

Another shot sounded, and it jolted Jack into action. “Rhett! Rhett!” He rushed down the steps and toward the direction the shots had come from. “Rhett! Are you okay?”

When Rhett didn’t immediately answer, Jack ran, aware that he was being careless with his gun but had all his attention on finding his brother as soon as possible.

“Rhett!” He stumbled over something on the ground and almost fell before he managed to flail enough to keep himself upright.

Pain tore down his injured side, but he ignored it, calling out for his brother yet again. He cursed himself for not thinking to grab a flashlight. The sky was overcast and there was no moonlight to assist him in his search, and once he was past the barns there was no light coming from the house or other structures, either.

The cattle in the closest field were making enough noise to drown out his voice or Rhett’s, making it impossible for them to hear each other—the sounds of the gunshots must have scared them. Jack worried about a stampede, but he’d never seen any of the critters take out a fence, so he dismissed the idea.

“Rhett!” His throat burned as he hollered again.

Lightning streaked across the sky, blinding Jack for a moment, then thunder followed and he couldn’t contain his startled yelp as his ears rang from the sound.

Or his shriek when six pairs of glowing yellow eyes appeared between him and the fence line.

“Shit!” Jack skidded to a halt, hoping he could steady his hands, and force himself to do what he had to do.
