Bond (Forbidden Desires #2) by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly

Blurb

Adorably naive and shockingly brilliant Harrison Lessardi only needs two things in life: his pet iguana, Steve, and his undying love of science. That is until he witnesses his best friend lay eggs, and a third must-have strolls into his apartment—the sardonic and mischievous Everard Drake.

Everard Drake, celebrated doctor of the tremendously wealthy Drake family, has one goal in mind when he arrives at the scene of his youngest brother’s latest disaster: incinerate Harrison Lessardi. Unfortunately for Everard, the moment he spots Harry, incineration becomes an impossibility—he must have the gorgeous beta as his own, even if it means holding him captive on his estate.

But something else lurks behind Everard’s interest in Harry—something that tugs at Everard’s soul in impossible ways, and that will send Everard and Harry down a rabbit hole of discovery that will change the world as they know it.

An alpha and a beta can’t share a bond.

Can they?

Bond is a 78,000 word steamy omegaverse mpreg-ish romance that will leave you in stitches. It contains an unexpectedly consensual kidnapping; giant magical lizards; an iguana with a full wardrobe named Steve; never-ending nicknames; and a HEA that may, or may not involve mosquito nets. For maximum enjoyment, Bond is best read following the events of Clutch.

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Bond is the second book in the Forbidden Desires series by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly. It definitely works best when read after Book 1- Clutch.

In Bond, we get to read all about Harry, who I immediately became enamored with in Clutch. We get all the fun, silly antics we've come to expect from Harry. As I mentioned in my review of Clutch, Harry has quickly become one of my all time favorite characters.

Harry gets thrown into the world of Everard and he is elated. His overwhelming excitement for all things dragon is hilarious and so well written.

As Harry and Everard move forward, their adventures are laden with funny moments, insightful moments, and a whole lot of tender moments. As a beta, Harry's story is interesting and riveting. Seeing him fall for the sexy alpha dragon is downright fun.

Their story made me laugh and swoon. It's well written, getting into the "science" of dragons without it ever being boring or educational. Instead, the authors perfectly intertwine the dragon info with a wonderful story of finding love, life's purpose and a family. Their love story is beautiful. Their bond is fantastic and I couldn't enjoy the moments with Baby Darwin any more than I did.

As I mentioned in my review of Clutch, I never, ever read about shifters or dragons. But, damn, I am so glad I jumped into this captivating world created by Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly!
