REVIEW
My Rating - 4 Stars!
For my first Kazy Reed book, I decided to read Life Saver, which is a novella that contains some romance and angst.
Isaac is working on a gay cruise ship, when he runs into someone from his past. Unfortunately for him, this person is an aggressive ex-abuser who's threatening him. He's never told anyone about this part of his past, but he might have to now. Meanwhile, Isaac may have just found a man who can be more than a hook-up.
This story is short, fast, and contains quite a bit. There's some sex, some angst, threats, and facing one's past hurts. In addition, Stewart may just be Isaac's savior coming to rescue him in more ways than one, as he's caring, kind and protective. I also like Isaac's boss a lot and like his relationship to Isaac.
I like the storyline, as it was sweet, and yet contained some gritty events. Stewart and Isaac are great together, and although their storyline is rushed since it's a novella, Isaac is well developed, with a good story.
Give Life Saver a try when you'll looking for a sweet novella.

Kazy Reed
Kazy Reed grew up on a small island off the Maine Coast. At the age of sixteen, she announced to her parents that she was going to move to Denmark as an exchange student. That trip changed her life, and sparked her love of travel, languages, and history.
After graduating from college in Massachusetts with a degree in Art History, she moved back to Maine, where she began to write short stories. When she was introduced to gay erotic fiction, the seed was planted and she never looked back.
Kazy still lives in Southern Maine, with her very understanding husband and two ridiculously precocious children. In addition to her published work, she is the author of a weekly flash-fiction series on her blog.
