Neil isn’t a ghost, but he feels like one. Reincarnated with all his memories from his prior life, he spent twenty years trapped in a child’s body, wanting nothing more than to grow up and reclaim the love of his life.
As an adult, Neil finds there's more than lost time separating them. Joshua has built a beautiful life since Neil’s death, and how exactly is Neil supposed to introduce himself? As Joshua's long-dead lover in a new body? Heartbroken and hopeless, Neil takes refuge in his work, developing microscopic robots called nanites that can produce medical miracles.
When Joshua meets a young scientist working on a medical project, his soul senses something his rational mind can't believe. Has Neil truly come back to him after twenty years? And if the impossible is real, can they be together at long last?
Any Given Lifetime is a stand-alone, slow burn, second chance gay romance by Leta Blake featuring reincarnation and true love. This story includes some angst, some steam, an age gap, and, of course, a happy ending.
REVIEW
My Rating - 5 ++ Stars!
5 Stars is not enough! Leta Blake's Any Given Lifetime deserves 10 Stars! It is one of the best books I have ever read!
Neil and Joshua's love story is riveting and amazing. It's gut-wrenching and beautiful! It is harrowing and powerful. Their story contains love, fear, guilt, grief, tragedy, jealousy and more.
Any Given Lifetime is one of those rare books that will stay with me forever. I was sucked in from the beginning, felt every emotion, and was captivated with their love story.
Neil and Joshua have an all-consuming love, one that even manages to transcend death. Normally not one to read about reincarnation, I am thrilled I didn't pass over this book. Don't focus on the science of it, just enjoy the ride!
During their years apart, they both suffered from grief that they never got to do everything they had wanted to do, and feeling the loss of the life they should have had together.
Neil grows up an angry, lost and grieving soul. And Joshua moves on, as best he can, always holding firm to his love of Neil.
Their friends are interesting and compelling, leaving me needing their stories now!
Any Given Lifetime is definitely one of my all time favorite books. It's well written, has an amazing plot and superb pace. It's everything I could ask for in a book. Leta Blake has left me in awe, as I felt this book down to my every fiber. I was entranced as if I was one of the men and feeling it with every fiber of my being.
