GRL 2018 SPOTLIGHT - K-lee Klein #1 - Lucky In Loveland (Welcome To Loveland #1)

In my attempt to cover some of the attending authors for this year's GRL,
I am reviewing

K-lee Klein's Lucky In Loveland!

BLURB

Loveland, Colorado is a special place all year around, a community of creativity and art, with scenic views and majestic mountains. But the town really shines once a year, on Valentine's Day.

Lucky Roberts has lived in Loveland his whole life. He has good friends, strong family support, and is all about keeping his community fun and alive. The only thing Lucky has been "unlucky" with is love. But rather than avoiding February fourteenth in his hometown, he throws himself into helping others deliver their messages of love.

Enter Jack Canon. Jack moved to Loveland for a fresh start, in both his personal and professional lives. After a tough year, he's finally hoping to just blend in, maybe carve a little niche for himself that his parents would have been proud of. What he didn't expect was a pseudo-lumberjack with a killer body and shy smile to turn his world upside down – and he sure didn't expect to like it so much.

When Lucky meets Jack, he feels like a thirteen year-old with his first crush. He's clumsy, stammering, and the first greeting out of his mouth is a less than articulate, "Wow!" Words like adorable and manbun suddenly become part of his vocabulary as he discovers a deep, hidden need to romance the hell out of Jack.

And what better way to do that than during the most romantic season in the City of Love?

REVIEW
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Lucky in Loveland, is a fantastic, funny and romantic story by K-lee Klein.

From the very beginning, it is full of wonderful humor, with Jack's students being so innocent and hysterical. It is definitely an accurate account of a kindergarten classroom.

Jack is a kindergarten teacher, who meets Lucky when Lucky comes to talk to his students. Lucky's a hockey coach and his interactions with the students are a hoot.

What follows is a romantic, sweet, light-hearted, and funny tale of Jack and Lucky becoming friends, and then lovers. Jack's new to town and never expected to find love. But, these two men are so wonderful together. It's amazing to follow Jack as he goes from being alone to finding someone who helps him feel accepted, free to be himself, and loved.

K-lee Klein's Lucky In Loveland is one of those books that just draws you in, entertains you completely, and leaves you happy. As this is a series that follows the same couple, Lucky In Loveland, book 1, ends with a HFN.

K-lee Klein

K-lee Klein loves guys with long hair and tattoos, and you’ll often find her front and center at her favorite rock concerts. She has bounced around Western Canada all her life, but will always consider the solitude and beauty of the British Columbian mountains home. Her life is blessed as the proud mother of three now-grown but still spoiled kids, the servant of two bossy felines, and the wife of a truly patient husband.

Her writing muse is terribly temperamental, so to keep him close by and in check, she had him inked on her left calf. The gorgeous, long-haired, mostly naked, kneeling angel that resulted is truly a work of art, although he’s still a handful and hopelessly uncontrollable. She writes on his schedule and inspiration.

K-lee tends to fall easily into obsessions. When something grabs her attention, she jumps into it headfirst with complete abandon. Actors, musicians, superheroes, fictional characters, and brainwashed assassins all hold spots on her cannot-get-enough list. She once followed Thirty Seconds to Mars around the United States and Canada and saw them perform fourteen times that year. Obsession sometimes leads to ideas for her kneeling angel to turn into stories.

Although an introvert in person, she’s extroverted online and has met many wonderful friends there, sometimes with the added fun of meeting them in person at gay romance conferences. She’s grateful for all the people in her life who accept her as she is and support her through her ups and downs as mom, wife, and joyfully obsessed writer.
