BLURB

Micah is a small-town mechanic with a big-time dream. He’s found his soulmate in high school social studies teacher Coleman Pierce, but while Micah’s out and proud of it, Coleman’s closet door is closed, locked, and welded shut. Stolen nights are all they’ll ever have, unless Micah can find some way to convince Cole that coming out won’t be the end of his dreams.
Cole moved to Blueridge Junction to escape his past. He planned to make himself a new life, far from home and the betrayal he’d suffered there. He wasn’t going to make the same mistakes again, but he didn’t count on meeting Micah, or the intensity of the feelings the man arouses in him.
But Micah is out and Cole… isn’t. And while Micah definitely revs his engines, Cole isn’t going to risk his job or his newly minted future on a relationship that might not work out. When outside forces bear upon the couple, Cole is faced with a decision. Will he keep his secret and risk losing everything, including the man he loves? Or will he stand with Micah and fight for their future?

*Fight For It is a male/male romance meant for ages 18+ due to language, themes, and adult scenes.*

REVIEW
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Fight For It, book one in The Blueridge Boys series by AD Ellis, is a fantastic small town-romance. I love this story, as it has all that small town charm I love, along with some great storylines.

Cole is closeted, has just moved to Blueridge Junction, and is terrified coming out would get him fired. Of course, he has no idea that his out-of-town, no-names-exchanged repeated hook-up lives there.

Their chemistry is still as hot as ever, but they need to be secretive, which will cause them a  lot of problems. Micah doesn't want to be closeted, despite his homophobic father. And Cole is facing a lot of issues with his job if people find out.

Cole and Micah are everything one wants in a couple, as they are tender, have a close bond, and are steamy and romantic. They blend well, compliment each other perfectly, and are a couple who have so much thrown their way.

I love Cole and the person he's become, after everything he's endured. He is nice, sweet, caring and kind. And I can't help but to swoon when Micah is there to help him from the beginning.

At it's heart, the story is about coming out. and some of the reasons it is a complicated journey. Cole and Micah will deal with people  who are weary of having a gay man work with children, how easy it is for small town bigots to run someone out of town, and the toll it takes on one when their parents are the worst of the local homophobes.

This book is gripping, well written, and introduces us in detail to the other men in town. Blueridge Junction is one of those towns where everyone knows everyone and no secrets are kept for long. I love how well AD Ellis developed this town, making it easy for us to imagine.

If you like small town romances, do not miss out on Fight For It. I know I'll be reading the rest of the series as soon as I get a chance.

AD Ellis

A.D. Ellis is an Indiana girl, born and raised. She spends much of her time in central Indiana teaching alternative education in the inner city of Indianapolis, being a mom to two amazing school-aged children, and wondering how she and her husband of nearly two decades haven't driven each other insane yet. A lot of her time is also devoted to phone call avoidance and her hatred of cooking.
She loves chocolate, wine, pizza, and naps along with reading and writing romance. These loves don't leave much time for housework, much to the chagrin of her husband. Who would pick cleaning the house over a nap or a good book? She uses any extra time to increase her fluency in sarcasm.
