Greyson Fox, the man, the myth, the legend. The highly sought after, self-proclaimed permanent bachelor. Or so the rumor mill goes. Sure, I’ve heard it all – but the one that stung the most was being called a heartless bastard. Love ‘em and leave ‘em, that one in particular I found to be the most humorous since only one man had ever shared my bed more than once, and he’d long since passed away.
I wasn’t the heartless bastard they all proclaimed me to be, but life had a way of kicking me in the teeth…Repeatedly, so I shut my heart off.
For years I thrived, building my empire and living by my own rules. Until one day, the walls came crashing down around me.
Potential trigger warning:
This book contains brief descriptions of human sex trafficking, as well as two mentions of sexual abuse, including a brief description of oral abuse and an attempted sexual assault. There is some physical abuse by the syndicates hands and a drug overdose so if those are trigger points this may not be the book for you.
My Rating - 5 Stars!
If you can ever stop looking at this stunning cover, you will find that Greyson Fox by TL Travis is amazing!
In the beginning, we meet Greyson in present time, as a rich and successful business man. He's also a man who's heart has been broken, resulting in his turning away from relationships.
As we delve into Greyson's past, we learn about his struggling and tragic past, as well as the man who showed him what real love looks like. Greyson was living a wonderful life with Daniel, until Daniel passed away, leaving Greyson lost, confused and bitter.
I found myself falling for Daniel, as he was just so darn wonderful to Greyson. The depth of his love is awe-inspiring and I was left grieving along with Greyson.
Despite having vowed to never open his heart to love again, Greyson can't resist the young Samuel. After a decade of one night stands, Greyson finds himself enamored by his newest hire, rocking his manageable world on its axis.
I absolutely love this story, the complex nature of Greyson's life, Greyson himself, and his love for Samuel. The differences in his two relationships are fascinating. I am left completely charmed by Greyson and Samuel as a couple.
Overall, Greyson Fox is a compelling and wonderful story of how life can quickly change once the right person enters it. TL Travis does a masterful job of reminding the reader that there are times when all the pain is worth it, as sometimes we end up finding something that's better than we could have ever imagined. Read this book. It will not disappoint!
