After Caleb Youngblood proposed to Sebastian Rush, the two men think everything should be smooth sailing. Marriage planning has started and the future is bright. Caleb is an openly out stock car racer, while Sebastian is offered the chance to work with a major TV studio as a cameraman at the Rio Olympics.
But Caleb is at a crossroads. The racing world may not be ready for an openly gay driver. Even though he wants to race, the family business is barely making money. And Caleb, being the face of Youngblood family, may be too much for conservative fans. Meanwhile, when an ex-lover of Sebastian’s reappears, secrets from his past cause friction between Sebastian and Caleb.
Should Caleb continue to race? Is Sebastian’s and Caleb’s love for one another strong enough to overcome what happened in the past? Or is their life together too tough to tame?
REVIEW
My Rating - 4 Stars!
Too Tough To Tame, the second book in this series by WS Long, is a fun follow up to Starting His Engine.
Currently, the boys are engaged, agreeing on a simple wedding, with a somewhat soon date. Unfortunately, it's not smooth sailing for them, as others have a lot of opinions about their wedding, causing some strife between the couple.
They also have to deal with Sebastian's aggressive ex-fiancée, who he's suddenly working with.
They are plagued with doubts, jealousy, and career choices that are at the forefront of their minds right now. And while dealing with Caleb's controlling family, and Sebastian's ex, they also have to deal with some homophobia from the racing world.
When all is said and done, they each know that their relationship is the most important thing, and they will have to deal with the interferences.
It is a short, fun story, with a great flow, and two characters who are perfect for each other.
Their humor continues to be fantastic, making me chuckle and laugh quite a bit.
I recommend Too Tough To Tame to anyone looking for a sweet and easy read. WS Long has created some wonderful and endearing men in this series.
