Love can slip through the smallest crack in the door.

Perspectives, Book 3

While most of his friends have moved on to “real” careers, Jon Buchanan is content skating through life as a part-time waiter and gay porn star. Firmly single thanks to a previous relationship disaster, he focuses his spare time on Henry, a dear friend dying of cancer. And with Henry’s happiness paramount, Jon is on a mission to help Henry meet his recently discovered grandson.

Isaac Gregory hasn’t set foot outside for the past year. He has everything he needs delivered, and his remaining family knows better than to visit. When a complete stranger shows up claiming to be his grandfather—with a distractingly handsome younger man in tow—his carefully structured routines are shaken.

Despite his instant attraction, Jon senses Isaac is too fragile for a relationship. Yet tentative friendship grows into genuine companionship. And when Henry’s health begins to fail, they realize Fate brought them together for a reason.

REVIEW

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Oh my, The Heart As He Hears It is classic AM Arthur, with characters who have endured so much and needing someone to help them heal. And, this is what we all love about her writing.

In this book, we have a hurt/comfort read, as we explore Isaac's past issues that caused him to become a recluse and we get all of Jon's emotional baggage as well.

Isaac and Jon, two complete opposites who are brought together by the wonderful Henry, are perfect together. I love when a couple who no one would ever think would be friends,  let alone lovers, find happiness together.

There are so many charming things about this story. Henry, a dying man who is fantastic and lends so darn much to this story. Jon and Isaac finding love while they help each other through their issues. The kitten who provides so much comfort and strength for Isaac is as loveable as can be.

The writing style is great, as we once again get an emotional journey that is written with thought, care and compassion. We have characters who interesting, alluring, complicated and charming. I enjoy the slow burn aspect of this romance, that involves a lot of time getting to know each other.

If you have never read an AM Arthur book, treat yourself to The Heart As He Hears It and the rest of her Perspectives series! This series is exactly why I love Am Arthur!
