Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The most complete first story I wrote at 12 yrs old; it was the life of a supermodel.
Where is your favorite place to write?
Ideally on my laptop, but I still love pen and paper too.
When you develop characters do you already know who they are before you begin writing or do you let them develop as you go?
I have their frame together when I start; but as I go, they change and grow.
How many unpublished and half-finished books do you have?
wayyyy too many. Around 36 or so.
How do you select the names of your characters?
Most are from a baby name book, or a website for a certain background, like Irish or Scottish names. Some are biblical or names from my past.
What's the worst job you have had?
Being a receptionist. There are few things worse than that for me.
Do you write part time or full time?
Used to be full, but now part time.
If you could co-write with anyone, who would you choose?
William Maltese
Do you need silence or music while writing?
I can do either, but mostly silence.
Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Ambivert...lol. Both.
Are you a morning person or a night person?
Night. Bigtime.
Do you have any pets?
Yes, the love of my world, my cat, Jack.
Would you rather cook or clean?
Neither, but if no options....cook.
Are you a list maker?
Oh yes.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
Play the piano or another instrument.
What’s your favorite smell?
Vanilla
If you could eat only 3 foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?
Cheese, chocolate, and pasta. I'd be the happiest, fattest diabetic ever.
If you could pick a new first name, what would it be?
New pen name or real name? Ha! I'd go with something utterly British or Irish to honor my heritage. Chelsea Worthington Simpson or something like that.
If you could ask your pet 3 questions, what would they be?
Why don't you take all your medicine? What food would you like? Do you like being a cat?
If you could be an Olympic athlete, in what sport would you compete?
Figure skating
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Less lazy
Lake, Beach, or mountain?

S. L. (Stephanie) Danielson began writing at the tender age of five. She knew it was her calling from the moment she put pen to paper. In her teens she began writing alternative works and the genre stuck. She created ever more elaborate tales and finally in her early 20’s years began to create works with her new love; male/male romance. She has since written more than 30 works (both solo and collaborations).
Stephanie is classically trained in business, accounting, and HR/training, possessing both an undergrad and graduate degree. She also owned and operated Romance First Publishing where the ultimate goal was to help other unknown, as well as known authors get their start in the publishing world.
Beyond writing, her other hobbies include: painting, gaming, and spending time with her husband and two cherished cats.
