Blurb

CALDER SETON is an unapologetic manwhore. Former Texas Ranger turned private security agent for Elite, he’s an expert at keeping his heart to himself. His employer wishes he’d do the same for his body. Calder has a habit of sleeping with Elite’s clients and they’ve told him to keep it in his pants or find a new job. That’s fine with Calder. He has a new playmate anyway, virginal actor Robby Shaw.

ROBBY SHAW spent most of his life sheltered from the world until he lands a role in an LA kid’s show and becomes the fake boyfriend of A-list actor, Elijah Dunne. When that relationship ends in humiliation and heartache, Robby meltdowns epically, landing him in county lockup and on the radar of Calder Seton, who he hasn’t seen in over a month.

A sizzling hookup leaves both Robby and Calder questioning their life choices, and when Robby’s life is threatened, Calder doesn’t hesitate to step in, free of charge. Unfortunately, Robby hires Elite before he can volunteer, putting himself on Calder’s list of untouchables until they can solve a murder.

The rules of Romancelandia state only a virgin can tame a manwhore, but both Robby and Calder have a pile of baggage and everything from a cult to anonymous killers standing in their way. Can they find a way to heal from their pasts so they can have a future?

EXASPERATING is the third book in the Elite Protection Services Series and contains age-gap, high-heat romance with an HEA and no cliffhangers.

Warning: This book references past childhood abuse.

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Damn, Onley James' Exasperating, the third book in the Elite Protection Service is spectacular. From the very beginning, I was sucked into this amazing story, unable to put it down.

Robby will pull at your heartstrings from page one to the end. Growing up in a cult, the reader is fully able to understand the level of abuse he suffered. Now an actor, he's lonely, in danger, and charged with murder. And Calder, wow, just wow. Calder agreeing to protect Robby is awesome. Having always been a manwhore, it's natural that he wants to get sexual with his new charge, but he's been told no more sleeping with his clients. Cue the conflict!

Their story involves a manwhore, a virgin, and a whole lot of tension. There's a large age gap of 21 years that adds immensely to the fun. Their story is full of angst, but light on the suspense, despite the overall situation being mysterious and full of surprises. Their story is full of character growth, as both men have a lot of personal issues to overcome.

The writing is stellar, with multi-layered characters and an extremely complex storyline. The author excels in every area of character and story development.
She doesn't shy away from tackling a slew of serious topics. She expertly delves into the world of child trafficking, both the large scale of the operations, as well as the inability of law officials to stop them. Onley James also delves into the world of religious cults, the complete power and control of the leaders, and the absolutely horrific events that take place. All this is approached with seriousness, yet it never overshadows this character driven romance.

I have to admit I am unsure of how I feel about the ending, but it doesn't take away from the story for me.

Overall, I highly recommend Exasperating. This Onley James book is a must read next time you're in the mood for something deep and serious. This May to December romance is sweet and steamy, full of fantastic chemistry and an intense connection.
