Blurb

Will Devon and Caiden discover that their new love is a wrap after the filming ends?

Weddings, champagne, and slow dancing. It’s a lethal combination and one that has led film student Devon Maxwell into one awkward predicament. Brought in at the last minute to help his friends Isamu and Brian during their Bryant Park wedding, Devon was not prepared for Caiden Dell to sweep into his life. The spark of attraction between him and the hip film executive was instantaneous. That spark led them right into Caiden’s big bed for a night of pleasure that Devon will never be able to duplicate no matter how many takes life gives him.

To make things even more complicated, Caiden offers the recently vacated job of office intern to him. He’d be a fool to turn down an offer to work at Budgie in the Dell, the hottest LGBT film production company in the Big Apple. Looks as if Devon’s hopes of working in film are about to come true. He’s ready for days filled with tiring shoots, long hours, and irate actors. He just never dreamed his nights would overflow with passion, laughter, and whispers shared with a gorgeous, older lover.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

VL Locey's Fade In is a tender Tales of Bryant story. This entire series that centers around New York's City's Bryant Park warms my heart.

Caiden and Devon met in Nine Small Sips with an instant attraction. After giving into a hook-up, they soon realize their feelings are too strong to end at just one night.

As in the previous Tales of Bryant books, this couple are complete opposites. One's a successful producer, the other a film student. One's well off, the other struggling to make ends meet after being disowned by his homophobic father. And of course, there's a large age gap.

What works well for this couple is that they both have something unique they bring to the relationship. As uneven as they are in their lives, with a huge power difference, they both help one another. It's fantastic that the younger Devon is strong and determined, not just giving in to things that would make his life easier.

Seriously, Devon is an impressive character. A young man who could have so easily given into his circumstances, he's a survivor and determined to make the most of his life. His desire to refuse help is frustrating, yet understandable. His fear is his big obstacle, making for some wonderful character growth.

It's no surprise that the writing is great, with some complex characters, an intriguing storyline, and perfect flow.

Fade In is a sweet emotional read by VL Locey, keeping in tune for the rest of this series. It's an enjoyable tale with some light angst to keep things real. I'm delighted by the way these men who brought together, finding a way to meet in the middle.

USA Today Bestselling Author V.L. Locey – Penning LGBT hockey romance that skates into sinful pleasures.

V.L. Locey loves worn jeans, yoga, belly laughs, walking, reading and writing lusty tales, Greek mythology, Torchwood and Dr. Who, the New York Rangers, comic books, and coffee. (Not necessarily in that order.) She shares her life with her husband, her daughter, one dog, two cats, a pair of geese, far too many chickens, and two steers.

When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in one hand and a steamy romance novel in the other.
