Isha has spent the last year watching his BFF get his happily-ever-after. He’s proud of Dom, but…it hurts to see him so free while Isha’s love life is still on lockdown. Only Isha’s ex-wife knows the secret that he’s kept caged for so long—that he’s queer too, and he’s lonely.

Jude’s too chained to his work to notice what he’s missing by being terminally single, but a new face in the village soon catches his attention. City boy Isha is gorgeous, and when he starts to haunt Jude’s reptile shop as well as the hook-up app on his phone, he's a welcome distraction from Jude’s business problems.

For a control freak like Isha, letting Jude under his skin is an existential meltdown, but Jude’s not in the market to be anyone’s queer crisis, not when he’s facing troubles of his own. Unlocking their lives could push both men apart forever, but it might be a risk worth taking if sharing is the key to their happy future.

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Garrett Leigh's Jude gets off to a good start, with a fun meet que. In fact, it's fun that they get to know one another because of Isha's ex.

Jude and Isha are two complex men, who slowly worked their way into my heart. By the end, I absolutely adore them together. They are both wonderful men on their own, and even better together. True to a great romance, these two men improve when together, enriching each other's lives.

I definitely didn't love all the reptile talk, as I am easily grossed out by these animals. The author does a great job with all of it though. Jude's knowledgeable and passionate about his job. As for Isha's kids, I love how well they mesh with Jude. They naturally bond which is always fantastic in a romance involving children.

The angst is well written, as Isha struggles to combine his kids with his hook-ups. As a parent, I appreciate Isha's apprehension and enjoy this issue. Isha is definitely annoying at times with his hesitation, but it works for him. Being a well developed character, the reader can easily see how fitting these reactions are for him.

The medical issue seems to be written with a whole lot of knowledge, as well as care and heart. It flows seamlessly into the story and works well in every way. It's always interesting to read about a character with a realistic disability, and this one gave me new things to think about regarding epilepsy.

As always, it's enjoyable to get appearances by former characters, which always endears me to a series. These other men are key parts of these characters' lives and it's fitting to have them around.

The relationship in Jude is a hard fought win, and the epilogue is amazing. Garrett Leigh has once again won over my heart with this series. It's another recommend read by me.
