Storm Season, the first book in Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series is fun with a whole lot of twists and turns. Action packed, it's full of surprises and discoveries as well as murders.
I enjoyed the writing, as well as all the snark and banter. The small town feel is written well, and pulls you into the story. Told in dual pov, this is a fun romance packed with mystery.
Adam's FBI agent who's back intown after the death of his father. Micah, meanwhile, is utterly alone and still grieving the loss of his family. These are two men who help each other and make a fantastic couple.
There's plenty of hot sex among all the mysteries and all the danger. If you haven't read this book yet, get it and enjoy.
Storm Season's a thrilling story of two men dealing with their pasts and starting to live again. Elle Keaton has me hooked already on this series.

No Pressure, the second book in Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series, is a whole lot of fun. Including Blackmail and threats, this romance will keep you intrigued. It isn't an easy read. Involving such horrific issues as child trafficking and murder, the theme is heavy. The romance, however, is definitely sweet.
Joey and Buck are a great couple. I love they way they interact with one another and the way they relate to each other. And in particular, I love Buck's attitude about their relationship.
The writing is great, with interesting characters and a thrilling storyline. Full disclosure, it did take me a bit to get fully invested however, as something about the story just annoyed me at first. I think I was just mad about someone being forced to steal drugs.

Already enjoying Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series, I really liked Spring Break, the third book.
The issues with Sterling's family and sister kept me riveted throughout. In addition to the romance between Sterling and Weir, this story is full of excitement.
Spring Break is a combo of action, suspense, romance, and emotion. It's a fun read for sure.

A box of inconsequential belongings hidden for decades in the old building hints at lives imagined but not lived, reminding them both there are no guarantees in love, or this thing called life.

Elle Keaton's As Sure as the Sun, the fourth book in the Accidental Roots series, is another fun romance.
I enjoy Sacha's retirement and his new start. Even better yet though, is his relationship with Seth.
My favorite aspect of this tale however, is the mystery of the things hidden behind the wall. It's sad, tragic, and way too true of it's time.
As Sun as the Sun is a story of realizing it's ok to not be alone. It's a story of finding someone worth letting into your life and heart. It's a great story of finding a home.

Yay! River Home, the fifth book in Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series, is Miguel's story. If you've been reading the rest of the series, you'll also be excited to read Miguel's love story.
Omg. Miguel. How I love and hurt for Miguel. Miquel's background is sad, and his effort to try to move out on his own is touching. Meanwhile, I loved Nate's inexperience with his sexual explorations, as he's never having explored with a man. He's full of doubts and insecurities.
Nate's a federal agent who's caught up in the middle of some danger, which is riveting for sure. He and Miguel are such a great couple, perfectly balancing each other.
Overall, River Home is a wonderful story of escaping abuse and finding a steady place in life.

Book #6 - Unforgivable - Buy Links

Cam needs to focus on his own needs and forget about Ira, but he can't.
Ira didn't choose Skagit at random; decades-old events set him on the path he is on today. The mystery of his father's murder may never be solved, but Ira would like to lay his spirit to rest.
None of this explains why Cameron is suddenly the target of a series of hate crimes. The small town of Skagit has its share of trouble, but someone has it in for the LGBTQ community, and Cameron is directly in their crosshairs.

Elle Keaton's Unforgiveable, the sixth book in the Accidental Roots series, is a touching romance.
Cam's homophobic family has shaped his life, leaving the reader immediately hurting for him. But, Cam falling for the sexy silver fox, Ira, is wonderful. After a hook up, they struggle with fighting their attraction.
These two men will touch your heart. Ira's completely broken, feeling unworthy of love. He's spent his life in the closet, and has lost his wife and son. His family issues are many. Meanwhile, Cam was kicked out of his house for being gay, leading him to a tough start in life. He wants more; college, a lover, and a sense of family.
Their age difference is something I absolutely love. Cam's only two years older than Ira's son, making for some interesting moments. I enjoy how well they work together, and find them to be crazy sexy as a couple.

Book #7 - His Best Man - Buy Links

Travis always knew he was destined to take over the family business. As the only boy he’s expected to take the helm of the Walker farming operation, and he’s good at it. An engagement to a local girl he’s pals with seems like the perfect solution, gets him mom off his back and ensures the family line -- eventually. When his best friend abruptly leaves town Travis’s eyes are finally opened to the difference between what is expected of him and what he could expect for himself.

His Best Man is proof that Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series just keeps getting better. Damn, I just loved this seventh book in the series.
It's a beautiful slow burn friends to lovers romance that starts with Travis asking Rod to be the best man at his wedding. As Rod's long loved Travis, ouch! Rod's pain was real and I could feel it as if it was my own.
I'm not sure why I loved this book, but I did. I had to read it in one sitting, not able to wait to see what happens. Maybe it's the friends to lovers aspect. Maybe it's the heartache of the man Rod loves getting married. Maybe it's the absolute cluelessness of Travis. Together, it made for a great tale.
Along the way, they have to deal with a crazy mother, but once they get together, they are truly perfect for one another. Best friends as lovers is always a turn on for me.
His Best Man is easily read as a standalone, as this was actually the first book that I read in the series.

Book #7.5 - The Northstar - Buy Links

The North Star is by far my favorite of the Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series. This novella is 121 pages of holiday goodness.
The North Star totally encompasses the feel of a romantic Hallmark movie. It's short, beautiful, and romantic.
With the small town movie theater going under, the romantic character arrives in town and helps him save the theater. Of course, not everything is a fairytale, as they also have to deal with some homophobia and an asshole ex.
The North Star is a delightfully sweet holiday romance that I will be re-reading.

Book #8 - When It Rains - Buy Links

Elle Keaton's Accidental Roots series continues with book eight, When It Rains. Like the previous books, it's full of suspense, danger, and romance.
Carsten and Beto are two extremely broken men, both having suffered a lot in their lives. Their story consists of some vile men and a whole lot of danger. It's definitely riveting, leaving me reading late into the night. The mystery and suspense is well written, full of detail and intrigue.
I love the slow burn aspect of this romance. If you enjoy a good story of two broken men healing through their love, don't miss When It Rains.
I started writing way back when but only began publishing about two and a half years ago and now have nine books out. Each features a couple in my little universe, sometimes there is added mystery and suspense.
