Enemies to Prom Dates is a riveting high school romance. This S Doyle read definitely left me with mixed feelings though.
There's a lot going on, including a lot of typical high school behavior. Bets about sex. Bullying. Intimidation. Status issues. Rich versus poor. And more. But what doesn't take place? Prom. So the title makes no freaking sense!
As for the story though, Fitz is an interesting character, as he's a lot more kind and caring than one would think. He's definitely more complex than what's on the surface.
This story is one with lots of suspense and mystery. There's high school parties, betrayal, danger, drugs, and more. And I love all that.
What I don't love though is the ending. Another cliffhanger! UGH!!! Though this story may have some flaws, I want to get the ending now. I hate waiting.
Thus, if you hate cliffhangers, skip Enemies to Prom Dates for now. Wait and read it when this S Doyle series is complete.
No joke, my romance writing career started when I was ten and realized that Leia and Han were the true couple in Star Wars. It's been about thirty years and over forty books and I still love it.
