When love is on the line, the worst decisions can end up having the best endings.
Tate Collins, an all-American hockey phenomenon, was the highly marketable face of Dallas hockey. Loaded down with endorsements and playing his best game, he was a superstar and a household name. No one ever expected him to fail, but overnight, after the worst decision of his life, everything spirals out of his control. Abruptly, his reputation is in tatters, and he’s traded to the Arizona Raptors in a shocking move. Brushing off the wild and unfounded accusations that he faces on social media, and stuck on the second line, he keeps his head down and works hard to earn his spot. Tate knows he can make a difference if only his teammates would let him. Something has to change for him to earn their respect, but falling for the captain might not be his best move.

Vladislav Novikov has been called many things over his long and illustrious career, but the new nickname of Iceberg seems to fit best. Perhaps it’s due to his icy blue eyes, or the way he rams into opposing players as he defends his goalie. Or maybe it’s because of his cool demeanor when not playing the game he loves. Whatever the reason, it’s why he’s the perfect team captain for this wild bunch of puck-pushers. His perfectly controlled life is smooth as ice until Tate Collins rides into Tucson with his apple pie ways and those damn dimples. The young superstar immediately catches his eye. Despite knowing better than to start something with a teammate, the big, bad Iceberg is about to have that chilly veneer around his heart melted away by Tate one sweet kiss at a time.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Sugar and Ice, the fourth book in the Arizona Raptor's series is fabulous. This RJ Scott and VL Locey series never disappoints. I love hockey, I love romance, and I love the combo. Thus, I am always thrilled for these two authors to write another hockey romance.

Vlad is the Russian captain of the team, and Tate's the young star who made one big mistake. Both men have well developed back stories, and each man is extremely lovable.

Their story is one with an intense attraction, and they complement one another perfectly. But they are also two men who can't come out publicly with their relationship.

Each man has is own issues to deal with. Good god, the mess with Tate's ex is crazy, yet so damn believable, as she is just a crazy fame whore. As for Vlad's fears of coming out, they are realistic and saddening, all coming from a good place.

Their story is low angst, with plenty of steam with some light BDSM, including some Dom/sub play.

The authors throw in some great humor to offset the troubles these men are facing. This is seriously worth a read just for the banter between Vlad and his brother. Hysterical stuff! I want a whole book of just them exchanging barbs.

Told in dual pov, the reader is easily able to be brought into the mindset of each character. The authors explore the downside of being famous, in this tale of found family. I love the continued appearances of the other players, as this is part of what makes this series so spectacular.

Sugar and Ice is a stellar read. RJ Scott and VL Locey are at the top of their field when it comes to writing hockey romances. I love this book and I love these authors. I can't wait for the next book in the series.
