Painted Lace

M/M Contemporary Romance
Release Date: 10.09.20
Austin never realized he was painting his life with shades of gray, until Keaton came along and injected a rainbow of color.
Keaton is a tornado of chaos and paint, which turns out to be more exciting than I ever would’ve imagined. I love my organized, predictable life...or at least I thought I did. But what started as a casual hookup is slowly becoming so much more, and I find myself loving the beautiful mess more than I expected.
Can two people so different really make it work once feelings get involved?
**** This story was originally published as Kiss and Run in the Valentine’s Inc series. It has since undergone significant changes and doubled in length.
Keaton’s story about how he spent the past week spooked me. Not because I was judging his life like he thought I was, but because it was another glaring sign of just how different the two of us are. I can hardly take a thoroughly planned vacation without suffering panic attacks, and he got in the car on a whim and ended up spending a haphazard week in Colorado.
It sounds so beautifully...messy. And those are two words I never thought I’d use together. But I think I’m starting to see now how chaos can sometimes be the most appealing thing of all. Just look at the painting we made together. There wasn’t any planning, any structure, any true point or purpose for it, but that’s what made it so great.
Keaton’s hands slide under my shirt, tickling my skin as he playfully pushes me into the car.
“Shouldn’t we get in the backseat?” I ask. Not that I have a lot of experience—see none—with car sex. But the backseat seems to be where it usually happens.
“Nah, just recline your seat all the way back,” he says. I do as he suggests, laying it down as far as it will go. “Perfect. Now, pull your dick out.”
A nervous laugh bubbles past my lips. Yes, we’ve had sex a number of times now, but this feels completely foreign and forbidden, outside where anyone could drive by and see us. Did I mention hot as hell?
I unzip my jeans, lifting my hips so I can shimmy them, along with my underwear, down to my thighs. My cock is already rock hard and dripping. I wrap my hand around the base of my shaft and give it a gentle squeeze, sending a flare of heat through my body. Keaton, still standing outside the car with the passenger door wide open, drops his own pants and kicks them off, leaving them in a heap on the cracked pavement.
I swallow hard at the sight of his straining erection barely contained by the pink lacy thong he’s wearing. My cock jumps in my hand and a low groan escapes my throat. I can’t imagine ever getting tired of seeing him in lace.
He finally climbs inside the car with me, straddling my lap and bringing his lace clad cock into contact with mine. Another hot jolt rocks me at the feeling of the fabric against my erection. No, not the fabric exactly, but the heat of Keaton’s arousal through the fabric, the hard steel of his erection stretching the delicate lace to its limits as he grinds against me.
“Fuck,” I mutter, my hands finding their way onto his exposed ass. His skin is hot and smooth, giving easily under my fingers. Our mouths crash into each other, Keaton’s tongue tasting like a hint of weed, a trace of his favorite cherry lip gloss, and a gallon of chaos. I make a muffled noise against his lips as he tunnels his fingers through my hair and kisses me deeper, hungrier.
Everything about this man should terrify me, but it feels like he’s waking up a part of me I never even knew existed. Maybe that’s the scariest thing of all—this is starting to feel like casual might not be enough.
Author K.M.Neuhold is a complete romance junkie, a total sap in every way. She started her journey as an author in new adult, MF romance, but after a chance reading of an MM book she was completely hooked on everything about lovely- and sometimes damaged- men finding their Happily Ever After together. She has a strong passion for writing characters with a lot of heart and soul, and a bit of humor as well. And she fully admits that her OCD tendencies of making sure every side character has a full backstory will likely always lead to every book having a spin-off or series. When she's not writing she's a lion tamer, an astronaut, and a superhero...just kidding, she's likely watching Netflix and snuggling with her husky while her amazing husband brings her coffee.
