Review

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Four Christmases is a fantastic insta-love romance by Nell Iris.

Auden and Porter are neighbors who never took the time to know each other until a random run-in one Christmas. With a family feud between their families, this is the first time they truly talk. What follows is a wonderful story of the two men falling in love despite the issues with their families.

Auden is so darn lovable, as he's understanding and compassionate. Meanwhile, Porter is so wonderfully tender with Auden that the reader can't help but to fall in love with these two. They are cute and adorable together.

Auden's family is one we all want to be a part of. They are loud, fun, and completely awesome. And there's Merry who is absolutely adorable and adds tremendously to the story.

Be warned though that there is abuse and an attack. The hate crime is horrible, but it's quick enough to not be as bad as it could have been.

Their story includes a family feud, homophobia, and all the negatives of living in a small town. Their tale includes a serious topic, but carries a hopeful tone throughout.

The author once again manages to create an amazing short story. This is truly a gift and she has mastered it, never leaving the reader feeling that something is missing. With this book, she treats the reader to a glimpse of four Christmases, updating us about everyone in a fun way.

My favorite scenes are their 1st Anniversary and Molly falling asleep on Auden. Just so much sweetness.

Four Christmases is a wonderful story of forgiveness and making amends. It's perfect when you're in the mood for something tender and sweet that revolves around Christmas.

Nell Iris is a romantic at heart who believes everyone deserves a happy ending. She’s a bona fide bookworm (learned to read long before she started school), wouldn’t dream of going anywhere without something to read (not even the ladies’ room), loves music (and singing along but, let’s face it, she’s no Celine Dion), and is a real Star Trek nerd (“Make it so”). She loves words, poetry, wine, and Sudoku, and absolutely adores elephants!

Nell believes passionately in equality for all regardless of race, gender, or sexuality, and wants to make the world a better, less hateful, place.

Nell is a forty-something bisexual Swedish woman, married to the love of her life, and a proud mama of a grown daughter. She left the Scandinavian cold and darkness for warmer and sunnier Malaysia a few years ago, and now spends her days writing, surfing the Internet, enjoying the heat, and eating good food. One day she decided to chase her lifelong dream of being a writer, sat down in front of her laptop, and wrote a story about two men falling in love.

Nell Iris writes gay romance, prefers sweet over angst, and wants to write diverse and different characters.
