Shy Boy (Red Sky, Texas Series Book 1) by Beau Brown

Blurb

Omega Kyle Holt has issues. He’s always been quiet and had trouble connecting to people. In high school he confused sex with love. He fooled around a bunch with bi-curious alphas attempting to find a connection. But those guys just wanted to use his body in secret, and pretend they didn’t even know him in real life.

Alpha Cliff Richard’s is a friend of Kyle’s brother. He’s confident, popular, and straight. But when he befriends Kyle, Cliff discovers not only does he like Kyle as a person, he’s having powerful feelings of sexual attraction toward his new buddy.

When Cliff pushes for more than just friendship, Kyle is afraid to cross that line. He’s been down this road too many times and doesn’t want to be used again. But he has such strong feelings for Cliff, he gives in.

Cliff thinks he’s ready to be open about his bisexual feelings, until reality hits. Sometimes the idea of something is more fun than the reality. Especially when you’re in a town full of bigots, and your own family disapproves.

Unfortunately, as Cliff struggles with fear and insecurities, Kyle only sees that as the same rejection he’s faced so many times before.

This 53,000 word story is book one in Beau's new Red Sky, Texas Mpreg Series. It's filled with angst, male pregnancy, smexy times and lots of the warm fuzzy feelings you expect from an Mpreg romance by Beau Brown.

Review
My Rating - 5 Stars!

Shy Boy's a wonderfully fun mpreg romance by Beau Brown.

From the start, I feel in love with the pleasant tone, and the adorable Kyle. Falling for his brother's best friend, Kyle fears Cliff's true feelings and getting hurt. Cliff, meanwhile, struggles with his sexuality, which is explored in a heartfelt and entertaining manner. Having always liked girls, his attraction to Kyle is definitely confusing to him.

For Kyle it's a story about the pain of being with a sexually confused man, the pain of being denied, and the pain involved with being a secret. His lack of self confidence is awful, believing he doesn't deserve anything more than a one-off. My heart broke for the man. For Cliff it's a story of the struggle with coming out as bisexual, the fear of telling people, and the struggle of facing coming out to oneself.

Kyle and Cliff are hot together, as the emotions are high, the connection is strong, and there's all sorts of first time fun. They're definitely super hot, super steamy, and super sexy as a couple.

Overall, I highly enjoyed Shy Boy, am completely impressed with Beau Brown's writing, and need to check out his backlist. Shy Boy's a short, fast, and sweet tale of trusting someone with your heart. It's a beautiful, happy story of two men lonely men finding love together.
