Crystal Lacy's Ready For You, the third book in her Oahu Lovers series, is a nice friends to lovers story.

It gets off to a slow start, thus taking a while to truly get invested. The difficult part for me is the gaming conversations. As they meet at a game night, and bond over their love of these games, I was uninterested at times, as I know nothing about these games. 

But, soon, Reggie and Shohei grabbed a hold of my heart and had me routing hard for them. They become fast friends, developing into best friends shortly after meeting. What follows is Shohei finding himself experiencing new found feelings. He's never been attracted to a man before, but after a misleading kiss, he can't stop finding himself attracted to his new friend. 

This story is a beautiful friends to lovers tale that includes GFY and some first times. It also includes some confusion and awkward moments.

Ready For You is a fantastic tale of sexual exploration among two wonderful characters. The story is sweet and tender, low- angst, and definitely a fun read. The third book in the Oahu Lovers series, it is easily enjoyed as a standalone.
