Love Me (Rutledge Brothers #1) by Piper Scott

Blurb

"I don't know what to do with you."

A Socially Conscious Alpha

Selfless heir to the Rutledge family fortune, Thaddeus Rutledge leads a life of privilege he'd rather not fall back on. After returning home to Aurora from military deployment, he follows his heart and opens a community soup kitchen to serve the less fortunate. But no matter how much he gives, something's missing. All Thaddeus wants is someone who can love him for who he is, not what he can do for them.

A Runaway Omega

Seth Cooper is locked in a gilded cage. Abandoned as a baby and taken in by The White Lotus brothel, he's learned that as an omega, he has no value other than in service to the alpha clientele. Still, Seth can't help but wonder if somewhere out there, there's an alpha who could treat him right.

A Rescue Of Two Hearts

When a medical emergency gives Seth the out he so desperately wants, it's up to Thaddeus to decide his fate: either give Seth up to the men hunting him down, or shelter him and risk it all for love.

Love Me is a 33,000 word stand-alone novella set in an alpha/beta/omega universe. It contains alpha/omega knotting, loving and depending on each other to be exactly what the other needs.

Review
My Rating - 4 Stars!

I enjoyed Piper Scott's Love Me when I first read it. Upon re-reading it, I am reminded of how sweet it is.

Seth is under his abuser's control, as one of his top paying whore. Stuck working at a brothel, full of boys who were taken and forced into this life, Seth manages to escape. And Thaddeus is there to save him.

Seth is so darn loveable, such a sympathetic character. And so darn brave. As a runaway, he faces danger, but it's never a scary thing, as things wrap up quickly.

Seth and Tad are good together, but their sex scene is way too fast. I definitely would have preferred more detail. 😜

This story is one of reclaiming one's life, having the ability to choice. It's a story of falling in love with someone who not only loves you back, but who also saves you. Seth has a chance at a real life for a change, which is super sweet.

Love Me's a good story, but it's so short that I couldn't get as invested in it as I'd prefer. With just 99 pages, it's a super short, quick, insta-love romance.
