Rising Tide by Bryce Winters

Amazon

I just finished reading Rising Tide by Bryce Winters.
It is the first book in the new Changing Tides Trilogy.
I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Harris is a surgeon who has to get away for a while, so he heads to a tiny town in Oregon. He is just going to hide out there for a little but while his lawyers work on his malpractice suit.

As he arrives in town, he spots a striking blond man and starts to think a vacation fling might be in order.

Who is that striking blond man?  It is Reid who owns a restaurant in town.  He likes the looks of the new man in town, but he makes a practice of not getting involved with tourists.

But there are sparks.  The chemistry between them is huge before they even kiss.
As they get to know each other, both can't help but to start falling in love.
It is a slow burn kind of love that is sweet.
And they start to think this temporary thing should be more permanent.
But how?  Harris will be leaving town soon.

I really enjoyed this love story.
The town and the town people were all lots of fun. I always love when a town is a character itself.
I liked the development of Harris and Reid's relationship and they were sweet and charming together.
They were both realistic characters and very likeable, despite Harris's cranky moments.
And I look forward to the next installment and getting to know some of the other town members better.
