Your Wish by Raleigh Ruebins

Blurb

Chances of a guy like him wanting a nerd like me? Zero point zero zero six percent. Approximately.

Charlie:
Computers have always made more sense than people do. But I fall asleep next to my laptop in bed every night, wishing I had someone warm to hold. When I was forced to attend a holiday work party, I was a nervous wreck, but determined to make a good impression.

Then Dean Aldridge showed up just in time to find me breaking the rules, complete with whiskey dripping down my chin. And he was one million times hotter in person than in the magazines. I was an awkward mess. Dean was cocky, flirty, and every bit the playboy I expected. I never thought he’d look twice at a guy like me, but now I know that Dean’s reputation for being hot as fire in bed is true.

When he finds out I’ll be alone for Christmas, he invites me to his family’s cabin. I can’t say no. I don’t have much experience, but I know his body is addictive. I can’t stop, even though I've never done this before. Small problem: I’m falling for him. Hard. And for once, this isn’t something I can hack my way out of.

Dean:
I don’t go for quiet, shy, awkward guys. I’m the life of the party, and I need someone on my level. Someone experienced like me.

So why do I want Charlie so badly?
Two words: Hot. Nerd.

It doesn’t take long before we collide in bed. On the floor, actually, because Charlie is way filthier than he seems. He’s more than just pure lust under all the awkward, though. He’s worked his way into my heart and head.

Once I’ve had a taste of him, I don’t want anyone else--even though I don’t do relationships. When I learn he'll be spending Christmas alone due to a broken family life, I can’t help but invite him to my family's cabin. He says he only needs me physically, but for the first time, I might be catching feelings.

My Rating - 4.5 Stars!

From the start, I was completely engrossed in Your Wish by Raleigh Ruebins. First of all, the opening scene is hysterical. That alone is worth picking up this book.

Charlie and Dean are such opposites, yet they find each other not only attractive, but also charming. Charlie's so darn awkward and adorable that one can't help but to love him. Meanwhile, Dean's a rich playboy who's always in the news. In the past, he never cared about how his actions affected anyone,  but in Charlie he finds someone worth protecting.

I truly love, love, love this story! Along with navigating their feelings for each other, the reader is entertained with an ex and some blackmail. I love this story and I love these guys together. The emotions are high with this one, as you'll smile, laugh, get angry, and swoon. Don't miss out on this marvelous couple and their journey.

Your Wish is a spectacular story of finding a purpose in life. The author knows how to develop a wonderful story, but I continue to find some of the conversation scenes cringe worthy, with the repeated use of "he said." The strength of the story and the amazing characters make up for this negative though, but I still have to deduct half a star for this issue.

KINGSTON (Beckford Brothers Book 2): An M/M Romance Novel by Candice Blake

Blurb

KINGSTON:
I landed an interview at the city’s best tech firm.

When the handsome and tall CEO walks into the boardroom for my interview, I didn't expect him to be someone who's helped me before. His name’s Felix and despite my inexperience, he decides to hire me.

After a work trip with Felix, I start falling hard for him and now I have to deal with the feelings I have for my boss. Not only am I a virgin, but Felix is also so much older than me. The thought of opening up to a man who's confident and successful is terrifying. Can I overcome this fear and finally go for the man of my dreams?

FELIX:
I built my multi-million-dollar tech firm from nothing.

Running a successful company means I don’t have any time to date, and all the women I've been with haven’t given me any desire to settle down. When I meet Kingston, he’s nothing more than someone who can help my company grow. But I realize that beneath his bright green eyes, he has the kindest and gentlest soul.

I’m straight.

I’ve never been into another man before Kingston walked into my life. And under the watchful eyes of my business partners, I'm hesitant to explore this thing I have with my employee. I'm good at putting out fires in my company, but what if the flame between me and Kingston is too big to put out?

Warning: KINGSTON contains explicit sexual content not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

The Beckford Brothers series focuses on four brothers who go on their own journeys to find love. Each novel can be read on its own or as part of the series.

My Rating - 5 Stars!

Damn! I love this Beckford Brothers series by Candice Blake, and Kingston's a fantastic addition to this series.

Intrigued by Kingston from the start, Felix is drawn to hiring the young man for a tech position in his company. Their first meeting is cute and humorous, and their first time together is hot.

Now, middle aged, Felix's having a sexual discovery, suddenly feeling himself attracted to Kingston.

"Do you need a hand?"

As boss/employee, they're starting a forbidden relationship, that will add to the angst. I enjoy that the age difference doesn't seem to matter at all. And I love the way Felix helps Kingston to feel safe and protected.

Kingston's family, of course, is awesome. Supportive, loving, and close, they are all great friends as well as being brothers. I absolutely love them.
As for Felix's co-worker Sarah, I just wanted to slap her.

The only thing I didn't like is the author's struggle with narratives, repeatedly using "he said." That drives me crazy. But, other than that it's a great story.

Ready or Knot: Book One

Kieran Delaney-Schwartz—adoptee, underachiever, and self-professed-slacker IT guy—lives his under-the-radar life by the motto: Don’t try, don’t fail. His adopted siblings are all overachievers thanks to his driven, liberal parents, but Kieran has elected to avoid disappointing anyone by not getting their hopes up. He’s coasting through his early twenties when he’s hit head-on by Theo. The successful decade-older Broadway producer sweeps him off his feet for a whirlwind thirteen months that are pretty sweet, until it all comes screeching to a halt on Valentine’s Day, with an unexpected proposal via an NYC Times Square flash mob.

Now everyone wants in on the wedding, except the grooms….

REVIEW

My Rating - 4 Stars!

Put A Ring On It is the first book in this super sweet series, Ready Or Knot by KA Mitchell.

Kieran and Theo, boyfriends for over a year, have been living together for a few months. Things are going great until Theo decides to propose in a very public and embarrassing manner. So what's the problem? Well, for one, Kieran is introverted and socially awkward, so this is not his ideal proposal. The other problem? Oh yeah, they've never even discussed marriage.

Put on the spot, Kiernan say yes, but his heart isn't in it. After that, things get crazy when a morning talk show airs their story and wants to pay for their wedding. The catch? It needs to take place in 2 weeks and they'll air it. In other words, exactly the opposite of what Kieran wants.

Now they are dealing with some well- meaning, but not some helpful friends and family, in addition to a producer who doesn't have their best intentions in mind.

This book is gripping, even as it has you wanting to yell at the couple to just talk to each other, honestly, and really discuss their feelings. It contains some tender and sweet moments, some fun humor, and lots of frustrating moments. As I love this type of story, this one left me charmed.

I appreciated the vastly different personalities of the Kieran or Theo, as they are well written and it's a joy to read how they ultimately compliment each other.

If you haven't read Put A Ring On It, and the other Ready Or Not books by KA Mitchell, you are missing out. It is great, as it's written with thought and tenderness.
